I am not alive, but I grow; I don't have lungs, but I need air. I am not food, but nutrients are a must. Water makes me longer, yet too much is my enemy. I come in many colors, yet I am not a rainbow. I can be straight or curly, thick or fine. I cover the heads of many, but not all. Who am I?
