yes, i think so too

thought experiment: if you had a role that evolved, would you keep your info close to you or would you immediately out yourself as an obviously relevant role to scum?

lets step in my shoes for a moment

the issue with outing myself instead of using the fake puts me in three predicaments:
1. scum has a free lynch. they get their way regardless here
2. scum has a target to kill n1 to avoid the role from evolving (i will not be protected, because town does need to resolve the slot regardless)
3. if theres a wagon that builds on another slot, i effectively become lynch bait due to your own misplays

i dont win here, obviously. the misplays buried me
had i not dicked around id still be hesitant to claim immediately because i honestly don't know what's in store for me and what abilities may arise once i do evolve
that also creates a damned if i do damned if i don't scenario - not claiming would still make me top wagon given how suspicious it'd come across, claiming would still make me top wagon even without the misplays since i chose to initially use my fake

yeah but that's kinda wild to change it 5 times if no one was buying it

maybe im underestimating watson scum game but maybe they'd just cut their losses, give up, and just do irl stuff?

in the last game i played, someone was framed and got redchecked as cop, and instead of rolling over they kept trying to play cuz they were town. i feel like Watson not giving up here and actually trying to play is somewhat like that
