Calc Borderlands - First Vault opening damages Pandora

So, you want to hear another story, huh? One where the very fate of Pandora hangs in the balance? If not, too bad - I'm telling you anyway. First, there was the Vault, an alien prison opened with a mystical key. To the warriors who opened it, the Vault was just a container of tentacles and disappointment. They vanished into the wastelands, certain that the Vault held no treasure at all. They were wrong. The Vault's opening triggered the growth of Eridium, a priceless alien element. Soon, the rare and valuable mineral emerged all across Pandora. Its appearance attracted many. Including... the Hyperion corporation. They came to Pandora to mine Eridium, and bring order to the savage planet. Through their excavations, Hyperion uncovered evidence of an even greater Vault. Their leader vowed to find it - to use its power to civilize the Borderlands once and for all. But Hyperion weren't the only ones searching for the next Vault's alien power. The call of danger and loot is not so easily resisted. Certain warriors came to Pandora in droves to uncover its hidden secrets. Some would call them adventurers. Others call them fools. But I... call them Vault Hunters. Our story begins with them and with a man named Handsome Jack...

There, Lilith helped defeat the Destroyer, the apocalyptic abomination unleashed from within. The titanic battle fractured the planet's mantle, sending an alien mineral called Eridium surging upward through Pandora's crust. Lilith found that this substance significantly enhanced her Siren powers.

The first Vault opening and the original Vault Hunters defeating the Destroyer (or at least the tiny part of it that can through the gate) caused the crusts of Pandora to crack open, spewing eridium all over the planet. As we can see from the state of Pandora in the Pre-Sequel, this caused colossal fragments of Pandora to break free of the planet itself. As for the size & dimensions to use for Pandora, I think using those of Earth are a safe bet, as it's gravity is very close to that of Earth's.

A rounded astronomical body with planetary mass, it featured a rocky silicate composition, a surface gravity of 0.1.2375 G (about eighth that of Pandora), and a radius of roughly 808 miles.
0.12375 G times 8 is equal to 0.99 Gs, which is close enough to 1 G (that of Earth), so it should be fair to use the diameters of Earth. The diameter of the Earth is 12756.2km.
rFH0kZk.jpg
708 pixels = 12756.2km
1 pixel = 12756.2km/708 = 18.0172316km
18.0172316km X 18 = 324.310169km
18.0172316km X 9 = 162.155084km
18.0172316km X 6 = 108.10339km
18.0172316km X 12 = 216.206779km
18.0172316km X 23 = 414.396327km
414.396327km/2 = 207.198163km
18.0172316km X 13 = 234.224011km
18.0172316km X 15 = 270.258474km
18.0172316km X 16 = 288.275706km
18.0172316km X 21 = 378.361864km
18.0172316km X 7 = 126.120621km
18.0172316km X 8 = 144.137853km
18.0172316km X 4 = 72.0689264km

Area of the fragment partially seen as a right-angled triangle.

A = ab/2
= 162.155084 X 324.310169/2
= 26294.2713km^2

Area of the fragment over the purple fracture as a trapeziod.

A = a+b/2h
= 108.10339 + 216.206779/2 X 414.396327
= 44905.7509km^2

Area to the right of that as half an oval.

A = πab
= π X 288.275706 X 207.198163
= 187647.947/2
= 93823.9735km^2

Area of the fragment directly below that as a triangle.

A = (hb)/2
= 234.224011 X 270.258474/2
= 31650.5119km^2

Area of the final shape as a triangle and two trapezoids.

A = (hb)/2
= (378.361864 X 126.120621)/2
= 23859.6166km^2

A = a+b/2h
= 144.137853 + 162.155084/2 X 234.224011
= 44905.7509km^2

A = a+b/2h
= 72.0689264 + 144.137853/2 X 72.0689264
= 5265.99909km^2

Finally to add all of the surface areas together...

A = 26294.2713 + 44905.7509 + 93823.9735 + 31650.5119 + 23859.6166 + 19134.4449 + 5265.99909
= 244934.568km^2

With area, we now need the depth, which we have.

V = 244934.568 X 18.0172316
= 4413042.84km^3 (4.41304284e+21cm^3)

The density of the Earth is between 2.6g/cm^3 to 3.1g/cm^3.

M = 4.41304284e+21 X 2.6g
= 1.14739114e22g/1000
= 1.14739114e19kg

With everything we need in 3 dimensions, we now move to the 4th and get our timeframe! The escape velocity of the Earth is 11.19km/s, or 11190m/s.

KE = (0.5)mv^2
= (0.5) X 1.14739114e19 X 11190^2
= 7.18359219e26 joules
= 171.69197394837476622 petatons

Final Results
Pandora's surface fractures after the first Vault opens = 171.692 petatons

It should be noted that this Vault opens every 200 years to feed the Destroyer, so that it's sated and feels not the need to escape. This would mean that there were many other times that the Vault opened, and the crust of Pandora wasn't shattered.
Eridian Writings - Feeding said:
"All prisoners must be fed, even the Destroyer. The Eridians devised of a feeding slot that calls wayward souls to open it every two hundred years. A cruel surprise for those that open this false vault, but in exchange the small morsel will keep the Destroyer sedate over the eons. In any case, the victims will not be in pain for long."
Therefore, I feel it's a fair argument to say that this was caused by the Vault Hunters in their battle against the Destroyer.
