I can get used to that honestly. Both designs of Isaac nail the Average Joe everyman look of Isaac for me.

Nah, I've seen too much of Issacs face to look at him in the remake and think he looks like Issac. he just looks like his voice actor now

so, i watched 99% of the crisis core remake, it's truly great, only bad thing is the lol nu va cast

visual wise, it's truly at it's best, they even remixed the old rockish songs, with better metalcore riffs, just lit, they even added new scenes to several events, cuz better hardware and all

now, truly with the old va patch, when the fans do it, it's gonna be so lit

Like I said, it doesn’t bother me in this case since Isaac isn’t a remarkable looking guy in the old games either. This new look works.

Now the video you can definitely be skeptical about. Watching it, I mostly liked what I was hearing, expanding on things that were already present in the game but you never noticed or were vague. But it all depends on execution

And well, the developers behind this remake include the people behind the complete dogshit that was Mass Effect Andromeda so I am a bit weary on story at least for this game

They also made Nicole too old here. Went from Isaac’s girlfriend to now being able to pass for his mom

I've watched so much Naruto in recent weeks that last night I dreamt about the fun days in High School where a few of my chums dressed up as our own Akatsuki group on Halloween. The principal thought we were representing a gang because we were throwing up hand signs at each other while ninja running through the halls when it was time to switch to the next class

I always found that excuse bullcrap since Yuri did the voice and mo-cap for the PS4 version just fine.

I feel like it was a stunt to just have him look more like Tom Holland

Probably but they could have done it so much better if that's what they were trying to do, cause compared to the original
it lacks the same amount of detail and expression

It’s not so much mo-cap to blame, because remember that even Dead Space 2 first implemented it.

I think it’s just the growing obsession today with making games as hyper-realistic and movie-like as possible, this includes making characters closely resemble the actors as much as possible compared to a decade ago where more leeway in appearance between the actor and the character was allowed.
