OBD Convo #37: WE ARE MIGHTY WARRIORS

Knight vs Miz, huh? Provided it's a one-two month feud, where both are consistently able to go hard on promos and shit, it should be good, and something for Knight to do, before they have him hopefully go for a title(Banking on Seth's world title for Mania, don't ask why :mjlol ).

Here's the promo since you most likely want to see it. LA Knight actually does stumble at one point but he recovers very well, Miz actually gets pretty damn intense which even had the crowd cheer him on at one point(Like I said, it came off like he was going hard on Bryan in Talking Smack!) and they pretty much go back and forth and Miz basically is what some people in the IWC fears LA Knight is and LA Knight basically shits on Miz for being a bitch while they couldn't bet on him because "He wouldn't take the shit Miz did".

I've seen people say LA won the exchange, i've seen others say Miz won. It was honestly a good promo between both of them, especially since it came from LA Knight was the one who eliminated the Miz.

It always bugs me when people say MJF is a far better Miz when he absolutely isn't.
The Miz allows himself to look like a bitch but when he's serious, he can go from 0 to literally murdering your entire career in a promo(Which he literally did to Daniel Bryan in Talking Smack!) and he doesn't even need to curse or go for cheap heat to do so.

He can get the crowd to hate him to loving him in a single exchange of just being serious. It really does make me wonder why the hell people don't understand why WWE tends to use The Miz on rising stars or those the audiences back and that's more to test them as The Miz is literally one of the best.

I've seen it. Miz's best line was calling Knight an attitude era fanboy, while Knight's was at Miz for being a soft ass nigga. :mjlol

As for Knight stumbling, it happens even to the greatest of talkers. People forget that Rock and Austin stumbled quite a few times over promos as well, even when in their prime. What matters, is if you can save it, instead of pulling a Roman Reigns and just awkwardly staring into the camera, like a fish out of water. LA Knight absolutely saved it.

As for who won the exchange, I'd say LA Knight, though Miz absolutely kept up. Not surprising, since Miz at his peak, regardless of what people think of him, is a hell of a talker in his own right, even if his charisma doesn't match up to Knight's. This feud will definitely be fun, and be a sort of steel sharpens steel deal, where Miz brings out the best in LA Knight, promo wise.

Also, LA's slick. Instead of ignoring the part of the crowd that got on miz's side, at one point, like 99% of the roster would've done, he rolled with the punch, and basically turned it into a joke in his favor.:tupac

MJF would get destroyed by Miz, in a serious promo exchange. Ain't no chance in hell Miz doesn't bury his ass for the incel promo, if he tries to take shots at Mike's career.:heston

Yeah, I just find it weird people tried to say that "LA Knight's career is finished" when The Miz himself has stumbled on lines before, let alone the greats. Shit happens and as you stated, it's whether you can save it or end up like Pre-Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and literally fuck it up entirely.

But yeah, this will basically be good for the both of them in terms of getting them back into shape. And yeah, LA Knight not only saved himself, he basically rolled the crowd backing Miz into a punchline which got them back on his side.

The Miz would obliterate MJF by pointing out how many times he lied about his own past and makes himself look pathetic despite trying to come off as "better than you" like he's compensating for something.
He would then finish him off by saying that he lives with his momma pretending to be a somebody when he IS somebody at the end. :garrett Fatality.

Literally just his haters saying that. The people that don't like him online, for whatever reason(whether choking on Nash's nut-sack or not liking the fact that he is, indeed, a throwback wrestler that isn't one of their little indie darling spot monkeys), so in other words, less than worthless opinions, especially if you're watching the exchange properly. :mjlol

As any great would. Man is absolutely special. He's even got the spirit of the Macho Man behind him(rest that legend's soul), given he's advertising slim jim now. Randy Savage would approve.:tupac

MJF ain't ready for the big leagues. He has the talent for it, but it is only being squandered and lessened in AEW. He hasn't grown, and in some ways, he has absolutely regressed, unforgivably so(refer back to that horrendous incel promo, again:russ) man needs a reinvention, and AEW isn't gonna give him that, that's for sure.

Honestly, most of the people hating are AEW fans who wish he was on their show so he can do "bangers" like most of the other WWE stars who wish they abandon WWE for AEW... nevermind the fact that AEW will use you for a few weeks and throw you away like trash and stick you on Rampage forever meanwhile if you are above 6 feet, prepare to get jobbed out to Orange Cassidy and barely used.

He does and honestly, I hope he leaves AEW after this, dude is squandering his potential in 2nd rate promotion that won't ever give him anything else.
See what happened to Wardlow as he is basically not even on shows anymore and if he is, he's ultimately gonna job out.

Nice promo

Nice promo

Me and Derp have been saying it for years now that LA Knight has "it" in spades and the crowd got so infectious that WWE has now actually pushed pretty damn hard even before he got his win(and now TV promotions) the Slim Jim Battle Royal. And now this is absolutely them testing to see if he's a flash in a pan or an actual superstar by placing him with The Miz.

Who people tend to forget that he plays jobber because he's fine where he is now but can literally destroy a person's career in a single promo if given an opportunity:

The man never left and if they decide to put him back in the big leagues, alot of the main talent would be obliterated. So it speaks volumes they have Miz going full blast and LA Knight is able to take it on the chin and then some.

LA Knight, when built up right, will make a phenomenal world champion. You can have Cody for the Smackdown brand after Mania, and Knight for the Raw brand. Two biggest babyfaces(I say this, because even though I've given up and don't care much for Rhodes anymore, most of the crowd absolutely still do) running the brands and having solid feuds. We're heading towards a great time, if WWE plays the hand how they should.

Then again, as I said on @Darth Nihilus live stream of SummerSlam, I can definitely see WWE trying to pull a 'swerve' with Roman, by turning him face at Mania and retaining the title, while turning Cody heel. It's not out of the question, given their prior history, after all. :kobeha

Maybe, but it's pretty clear that Roman's time is coming to an end he's pretty much going out at Wrestlemania. It was ultimately ridiculous to have Roman go over at the last Wrestlemania(Even with cheating) but it seems like they are deadset at Roman losing this time to Cody.

The real question is that when LA Knight succeeds(Not if), will he go for Seth Rollin's Championship or Cody's? I think Seth makes the most amount of sense but you never know right? :maybe

He'll go for Seth's. WWE have a perfect chance for two mega-over faces to be world champions. Having LA Knight go after Cody, while a hell of a feud, for sure, wouldn't be the smarter business decision, long-term. At least, in my opinion, anyway.

Save that feud for down the road. :mjpls
