its funny I hated FWWM but loved The Return (easily my favorite show of all time) but Return apparently builds extensively on FWWM so it’s kinda shocking to me I liked it as much as I did. Probably need to revisit the movie now that I’m older to see if I get more out of it than I did in my early 20s.
Original series is flawless to me even with the dip in the middle of 2, because it’s still so goofy and strange it fits in and gives the setting texture. 1 is superior ofc
There will probably never be anything like The Return made for tv ever again

not entirely sure but it ended the same time Fun Publications license ended, so they wrapped it all up together in a joint storyline
It was ideal for the exact type of TF fan I am, I miss it a lot. Every time I check it out I learn something weird

I really like the Unicron Trilogy, so I would like to see some of them against other Super Robots, but from a DB perspective I know that’s not gonna happen. Super Optimus vs GaoGaiGar or something could be cool though

they didn’t use golden megatron at all, which is kind of weird. But the Megatron they did use by all means should have lost, so not really surprised by the outcome here. lol at them throwing in the “universal” idw feats in there

It seems they didn't use JP G1 at all, maybe they felt universal EN G1 made it not a total mismatch while throwing Dragon Ball a bone after 3 consecutive losses.
Yeah, it’s just odd to me because 1. it’s more fitting (gold vs gold) and 2. no US version of Megatron is actually universal so I was hoping their research would be better there
also the force field is something Megatron stole from Trailbreaker’a corpse so I feel like if that’s fine to use than the golden matrix stuff should be too

Animation was fantastic. Devil's Artemis knocked it out of the park
Rooting for Makima and I can see a few potential routes to victory (Makima getting all her potential contracts and the haxes associated with them, or scaling to Falling Devil messing with Gravity across the entire planet since she managed to hurt the Darkness Devil another Primal Fear).
Super hyped for this.

@OtherGalaxy Given Golden Megatron seems to be something he can't just do on his own, If the fight just capped at Ultra Megs vs Freeza Black how would it have went?
