i still want them to do Goku vs. Saitama for the sheer shitstorm and table flipping the OPM fanbase would throw. Goku vs. Saitama is pretty much the modern Goku vs Superman, but with the roles reversed as Goku being the underdog in the public eye who actually stomps.

I know Saitama already got humbled by Popeye but you know that match-up would be a huge money maker

Unless Super revealed some more advanced healing pods then it won't do much for that sort of wound, right? He'd have to go back to his Mecha Frieza days of being half machine which I imagine is a huge stain on his ego that will haunt him when he came in so confident that Cybertron was insignificant before him.

Iirc when Frieza resurrected in RoF arc he was still in pieces from when Trunks sliced him. They put those pieces in the healing pod and it restored him somehow.

Megatron still lost the war, but it was a Pyrrhic victory for Frieza.

I mean…Frieza can fly across the universe, like when he went lookin for smoke with Heeter and Gas. Losing half a body doesn’t really dampen that, I wouldn’t say he’s necessarily stranded in space.

Saw Frieza vs Megatron just now. Loved it. IDW wank aside, the animation was top notch, probably my favorite for this season, hands down. Megatron didn't win the fight, but he certainly won when it came to shit talk/monologuing, that's for sure.

Also, the timing on Gojo vs Makima coming next, after the assassination Gege pulled on Gojo is hysterical. JJK fans are already either in denial or super salty about what has happened in the manga, if Gojo loses to Makima in the DB, that'll just be like adding fuel to the flames, for the Gojo stans.

My fav bit is literally after Frieza transforms into gold(which DA went all out to make as over the top as Super's rendition of it in 2D, which was great) and Frieza sends a huge death ball toward Cybertron, which Megs retaliates to by trying to counter it with his canon, after launching himself toward it, and Freiza was just like, "You know what? Screw this, I'll just pull your planet toward you and my attack." The call back toward the 5 minutes shit was also the icing on the cake, afterward.

Also, they basically just gave Frieza the huge stat advantage in all fields, and while mentioning the retarded scanning feat from the mobile game, they didn't allow scaling to it, as it's not supported in the primary sources. Thoughts on that, @OtherGalaxy along with the battle itself?

I really do hope Freeza Black is cool in the manga. It's absolute shit but his violent kill of Gas was actually really cool even if an asspull

Fitting that the episode involving Dragon Ball and Transformers gets the works, in terms of special treatment for animation, plus the song, as Maddie pointed out, right @OtherGalaxy ?

I didn't have a chance to see the rest where they explained the full scanning (watched it on work break), but I'm not entirely sure what they mean not supported. If they mean not by the original cartoon etc? Ok sure, but if they mean in general then that's not really how TF canon works. It wouldn't scale to the US Composite Megatron they used here, but it should be valid for various other characters. The mobile game in general is a bridging of a lot of different universes, so it's the exact opposite of say some Marvel guide saying Hulk can only lift 100 tons or something.

I did enjoy watching it, I haven't actually watched DB since like season 1 lol (I'm just here to shill Transformers) but it was cool, I'm not burnt on the L or anything, and the version of Megs they used should have lost. Only disappointment is the iffy research (even discounting not using JP stuff).

Also thought the voice acting was really good, they may as well start hiring whoever that is do Megatron in cartoons now lol

I mentioned that already, kinda. That bit was almost as good, in my mind. It almost made you think, given it hit, that Megs won, but then Frieza cuts him off by showing he survived, just like he did with less than half his body left, after facing Goku on Namek, and ended him with the same attack that actually cost him more than half his body back on Namek, when it rebounded on him, while blowing up Cybertron. His final line about wanting to destroy all Cybertronians also makes it clear that Megatron might've gotten under his skin enough to put Megs and his kind in the same bracket of hatred he puts the Saiyans and Goku in, which again, goes to show that Megs outright won the shit talk battle.

Gotta say though, I'm disappointed Golden Megs wasn't in the battle. We missed out on some golden dialogue(pun very much intended, of them dissing the other for copying.)

Yeah but Goku vs Saitama I feel is the most popular anime match-up they won't do it now, Goku will be given someone else and maybe they will wait for OPM to be over but I do feel like Saitama will join Goku in the two-time loser club and it would be fitting if he dragged him down there with him

Does Gojo have a reliable win condition against Makima?

I know there's hollow purple, but it got debunked from actually being erasure so it's not as unsurvivable as Gojo fans thought.

And the whole information flooding thing has an equivalent from Makima if she gets the contract with Cosmo.

So I almost think regardless of Makima’s potential haxes or scaling she can just outlast Gojo with her contract with the people of Japan.
