Imagine this world where you did get me lynched. You went off flavor from OP after also claiming flavor doesn't matter for roles. You pull this off. I, just imagine this to the best of your ability, turn out town and I wasn't lying. I might actually have a reason to not just straight up reveal and you went for me over people with actual shit plays, lies, etc.
What do you do then? Do you take responsibility, do you blame me cause I claimed something OP hinted against? What do you do?

Day ends in about 13 hours, why is everyone suddenly entertaining Lethal asking permission to remove her from the game board suddenly even if opportunistic, that's the exact optimal way to utilize a duel. And how does that suddenly change the head winds on Retro?
if you think she is likely lying regardless then he does not need to come forward as it changes nothing. there can be consequences of him coming forward. you should know this because you dont even thinking claiming is always optimal.
it would mean scum ekko was trying to lynch scum retro to save himself which means scum lethal trying to lynch scum retro is viable because none of what they're doing is rational at that point.
