I have autistic brothers, and it varies from person to person, especially on the high-functioning spectrum.
They understand what morals and ethics are, to an extent, and don't really have an off switch like we do to tell ourselves, "Hey! The shit you're about to do is BAD, so DON'T DO IT." Think of it as having an important piece of your brain that controls decision-making, and it gets either chopped off or dumbed down to the lowest possible and reasonable amount of use you can think of. They are also full of emotion—rage, anxiety, you name it. Whatever we have, they have 10000x the amount. Really smart individuals, but they don't have the same self-control as fully functioning humans do.
In hindsight, I too would think it would be okay to react to posts during the night phase, as it has to be generally spelled out for me. If it's not there, I'd be less likely to ask about it because, to me, it's not an important detail. Otherwise, I will follow what everyone else does because that's what most people would typically do without explicit guidelines or rules.

It's why it's now unranked. In ranked I encourage hosts to stand their ground. Mechanics, flavor, policy all checks out to avoid even minor nterference. Haza came from a good place in order to compensate for what was missed, etc.
Normally, this happens in SRM. Users get to shape the ending to their liking and the host either signs off on it or not. It wasn't /that/ much of a curve ball because both sides made minor blips.
I think going forward a "no. It's too close to hosr interference. What happens happens, I won't retroactively or alter the game in the present."

Have a game without night phase reactions?
It's impossible without punishing players and also keeping track of consistent violators. Nonetheless, it's still doable, but getting trolls to abide by rules is no easy feat. We have habitual offenders who use harsh words and slurs, despite it being said countless times and even being explicitly stated in the game thread rules that it is not allowed. Until we hold players accountable for their actions, it will never be consistent.
