Before I forget about this I should note that Sky's posts around CP very much reeked to me:
Basically as soon as I scum read CP Sky attacks me on the premise of "going against Flower" and "crafting a case on her and changing her mind", and then when I ask her how this is relevant to CP, she admits she hasn't actually read his posts.
After "reading" she comes away with a fairly sensible take but then redirects into speculating me/watson are aligned (???)
Basically I feel like her posts at the top there are pretty blatant chainsaw defense and she admitted she had not actually read anything he said. SUS
CP seems to be focused mostly on sussing Watson and her claimed PR. Seems a little easy. I definitely get the point of Watson's main contribution to the game being following the main wagon
Couldn't help notice that when I asked what Watson's PR could possibly refer to in terms of flavour, Ultra was the one who answered... the same Ultra who sussed CP... interesting

Anyway I guess since I don't like the direction of the day I should start playing seriously.
So I guess my problem with Polar Bear in a game with a lot of character, a lot of nuance, his posting has none of that and his suspicions are prime targets for this. His RDK suspicion is glorified OMGUS, his suspicion of Sky is the most generic response I have ever heard and when I followed up he basically just said words at me. This read's as someone's first attempt at appearing to be solving when really they aren't doing anything like solving. The whole asking questions bit being "classically scummy" or whatever lacks character that other suspects have in their favor, and also lacks coherence as a scum finding tactic as i don't believe for a second that on a broad scale scum ask more questions than town. Maybe an isolated incident, but this feels like something he read someone say one time and he is going "yeah, that sounds right."
I just don't believe polar bear's suspicions tbh. I have town reads on his suspects as well. Nothing about this iso satisfied me at any point. It is devoid of personality, of flavor, and of solving acumen. You say I should collapse into the topic's top pick? No, the topic should sheep me and watch as we kill this year's early contender for most obvious day 1 scum award in the form of this 1200 pound mammal.

I think this is a fair blind assessment. He might be throwing more shade than I've been aware of.
To inform you of why he hasn't picked up that much attention, it probably has something to do with the fact that his average scum game is usually a fair degree worse than this. Like just pulling accusations completely out of his ass and barely trying to emulate thought processes. I wouldn't say he's entirely out of his scum range though.

If he is known to not have a good scum game then yeah I would send this 100% of the time lol. Even the "Luka said you were good at the game!" bit felt so painfully forced.
reminds me of sky in the mash flower talked about, now that i think about it.
I would also say that Polar Bear's reads have been basically all the lower activity players without much discrimination. This kinda fits his MO, and I think if he were scum, it would probably point to him having scum mates in higher posters he was confident in blocking as town, otherwise I think he'd lend himself to more selective play and tunneling specific players
