Street Fighter: discussion, feats, and analysis

anyway, thats the most unique design for bison in a way, not bad at all, literally his willpower is something else, his obsession with psycho power, drove him to next level of craziness and powers, and still cant fully control it, cuz his purple and blue powers clash with each other, he either gets a redemption arc at some point, or all of this is staged, and bison has another new goal, we dont know

sf6 really wants to rival t8, akuma and bison back to back, they want to step up the game, this time

capcom, bring back also yun, alex, yang, sean, fei long and dudley, and we game, again

Take off your hat In respects for Nash guys. Capcom happily pissed in this man's grave again. I'd say hes doing barrel rolls in his grave but the poor bastard doesn't even have a body anymore :skully .

I don't know what's so surprising about Bison's return when we got this little thing right after his "demise:"
He's basically the new "Sigma"

He probably took over another of his spare bodies and something went wrong in the process

EDIT: It's not a spare body

It seems that, according to the lore, it could be the body of a Mexican POI who was "observed reviving a dying horse" using the residuals of Bison's psycho power

So, Mexican Dictator may be a thing now

Fresh out the box Bison with no memories and limited powers is too much for Juri. Gonna have to knock her down a tier. Prolly would have lost to Seth Prime in SF4 without Bison smacking him/her up first.

And she choose to runaway rather than deal with the "broken toy" that she woke up in SFV. Initially, I took it as "well I really don't give a shit about this and can't care to fix it". Could have been more of "i wont be able to put this thing down, gotta go." However, she might still be able to beat Seth in a close fight. Just gonna put her just below Seth to be safe.

Well add another bs power for Prime Bison. He can exist as data. His Psycho Power enables him to possess the Psycho Drive/supercomputer and remain there.

This "Bison" overcomes the Prime Bison and absorbs his essence. Who knows wtf is going to happen next.

This version of Bison is still imperfect. A clone body that lacks the ability to teleport. Says that if a perfect body shows up, then he will have to defeat it.

Wants to take over the world still. Says his power is unlimited and gains more memories everytime he uses Psycho Power.

New Stuff:

Vega appearance

Balrog Appearance

Both imply that they probably will rejoin with Shadoloo if Bison recreates it for their own reasons (Vega is the beauty of World Domination, Balrog's is money lol).

Lords of Shadoloo stuff:

Confirmed by Bison that some form of mind control/mental manipulation was used to influence Balrog, Vega, Sagat, JP, and FANG to become more than mere tools. Most likely this was Psycho Power drawing in their darker desires to keep them following Bison's orders. Sagat obviously broke free first. Then Balrog and Vega to a lesser extent. JP next. FANG is just fucking nuts and obsessed with Bison still.

More stuff:

FANG outright says that this appearance of Bison is "too soon" and that this must be a backup body that got reactivated early. Either there is a time requirement for Prime Bison to reconstitute himself or they were just waiting for another "perfect" body.

Very similar to the Satsui no Hadou, Psycho Power gets stronger the more violence/conflict/strife/negative emotions are in the the vicinity. They actively use the PC's techniques to trigger the Psycho Drive.

PC's placement on the tier list will hold for now. Bison implied that could have killed him/her and only spared them because his interest was piqued by his new pet's behavior.

"A crass vagabond (Ryu), a blonde idiot (Ken), a kung-fu wench (Chun-Li), a renegade doll in a leotard (Cammy,), and a soldier with an absurd haircut (Guile). The Psycho Power within me boils whenever their images flash across my mind." - Bison being bitter about losing to that crew.

However, Bison does not remember the encounter that led to his demise. Gonna be super mad when he remembers that Ryu one-shot his ass.

Everyone believes Bison to be dead for good. Violent Ken confirmed canon.

My theory is that they are setting up an eventual "Final" showdown that is between Bison and Gill.

Both want to take over the world in similar ways. Both have organizations that are actively opposing one another.

Light speed Street Fighter/Final Fight?

7-1be2e035ad.jpg

Time to circle back to this.

Might as well post the old thread with my Oni lightning timing stuff.

Bare minimum speed for characters like Gill, Akuma, Gouken, Kage, Oni, and the like. About 20% the speed of light with casual movement as a low-end. FTL as the high-end.

Let's do another feat:

Kage's Speed:

We Ryu meditating using what appears to be a Mini Tibetan Meditation Candle. Notice the very short length of the wax (cannot be seen from the angle). They have a clean burn time of 20 minutes.

Gonna do some low-ends and high-ends. Ryu's stage is Suzaku Castle. We don't know where it is. However, we can use the southwestern corner of Japan closest to Thailand to figure it out. Why Thailand? Because Kage travels to Thailand to fight Sagat, then to an unspecified place in Japan to fight Akuma, before jumping back to Ryu all before the candle burns out. It's actually still burning in image when Kage and Ryu start their battle.

Kage travels from the Suzaku Castle to Ayutthaya Ruins. The statue itself is a stylized and restored version of the original Wat Lokayasutharam reclining Buddha in the Ayutthaya Historical Park in Thailand. I will use Kagoshima as a real life analog for whatever since it is one of the southern most cities in the Japan.

The distance between Kagoshima and Ayutthaya Historical Park is 3,644 km.

I will use 1 minute as a low-end here. Justification? The animation for Kage entering in for the Sagat battle (actual in-game engine cutscene), which he travels to immediately from Suzaku castle, has him appearing in 1 frame and utilizing his V-Trigger 2 (Rikudo Osatsu).

This means that he is approaching the battlefield from above. This isn't teleportation. It's raw movement. Likewise, his exit animation versus Akuma takes him 3 frames from flexing his ki to disappearing. Continuing on with the animation, you can see that the ki travels in an upwards arc, following Kage's movement. Once again, not teleportation as it is the start up for Rikudo Osatsu.

Why is this important? Well, we also see how fast Ashura Senku is in another cutscene for the entrance to fight Akuma. It lasts a total of 40 frames. Ashura Senku is a blitzing style movement that makes those who use it intangible and functions like teleportation. It's the movement primarily utilized in the Raging Demon attack.

Anyways, Kage is moving fast as shit. One minute of total travel time for Kage for his entire trip to return to Ryu makes sense for the low-end. The candle isn't shown to be out. Light is exactly the same size. Candle isn't diminished. That means 7,288 kilometers (at the very least) in 60 seconds.

Equates to Mach 354.

High End?
Take the total frames between traveling from Japan - Thailand - Japan - Japan. Adding an extra frame for travel time to be generous. 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 frames to travel 7,288 kilometers. 60 frames in a second. 60 seconds in a minute.

Mach 354 * 3 * 60 = Mach 63,720

Low-End: Mach 354 (unlikely as we know that Oni/Akuma/etc are all much faster than this).
High-End: Mach 63,720 (lines up with the previous lightning timing feat).

About 7-8% the speed of light as the reasonable measurement.

Psycho Drive Laser

Laser Speed: Mach 8,458 (Lines up with Akuma's ki speed)
Psycho Crusher speed: Mach 11,431 (Lines up with Oni's lightning movement).

Cont'd.

The Psycho Crusher speed is very important here because of some videos. Interpretation of the speed of Guy's reactions plus SF6's representation of the Psycho Crusher in Bison's Critical Art plus the drone that shoots lasers.

In both Guy's and Maki's Street Fighter Alpha 3 endings, Guy reacts to Bison's psycho crusher (the very same from the above calc) at point blank range casually.

Now, the drones in World Tour shoot lasers. We can gauge their overall speed in comparison to projectiles in the match.

Faster to be sure. We also have this.

Bison's Ultimate Psycho Crusher Critical Art sees him briefly appearing as a beam of energy he's moving so fast.

Don't really see a reason why we can't accept light speed SF verse for mid-high tiers.

The Maki ending means that Guy is much faster than Bison's Psycho Crusher. He comes in from off-screen AFTER Bison starts the Psycho Crusher to intercept Bison.

This means that he moves dozens of feet (notice the treeline in the background with no sign of Guy, most likely he was coming in from the trees from Bison's base) in the time that it takes Bison to move maybe a few centimeters (a foot at best).

Given that info.

Reasonable Low-End: Guy travels 100 feet from the treeline in the time it takes Bison to travel 1 foot. Mach 11,431 * 100 = Mach 1,143,100. Speed of light in mph = 671,000,000. Guy's movement in mph = 877,000,000. So, 1.3x light speed.

Figuring out the exact distance to the tree line:
1090 pixels for Bison head-to-toe during Psycho Crusher. Bison height = 187.9 cm.
1090/187.9 = 5.8 cm per pixel

Trees in the background look to be Sweet Tamarind trees (as they are in Thailand). Average height is between 30-80 feet. We will say 55 feet to split the difference.
625 pixels for height of the tree. Tree height - 1676.4 cm.
625/1676.4 = .373 cm per pixel

Total Image height: 825 pixels

Formula for figuring out the distance between the two objects:

(825x5.8)/.373 = 12,828.4 cm or 420.9 feet.

I believe that it correct.

So, Guy was actually moving at 5.46x the speed of light.
