Who takes it? Fight takes place in the Cell Games Arena

Round 1: WWIII Arc Gabriel vs Scarlet Rot Radahn

Round 2: Both at full power.

They seem to be pretty evenly matched power wise but based on the other thread I'm wondering if this and Gabriel's other abilities might prove an issue to Radahn

Granted, even with his mind rotted away Radahn still has enough mental fortitude to uphold his seal of the stars, protect his horse, and isolate himself in the wailing dunes.

It's also pretty much unquantifiable how much stronger Radahn was in his past/fight with Malenia as his main feat (the star shit) he's still able to do even while weakened. He's stronger with Miquella still, but again to an unknown degree.

iirc according to the narration during Mathers vs Aleister in NT21(?) WW3 arc Gabriel alone was causing the world to strain to its breaking point

and depending on what you think world means in that context, Radahn might not even win the first round

Just some star stuff I thought was worth noting/reiterating re: Radahn's ending cutscene

@ChaosTheory123 pointed out something a while back that I'd never noticed, which is that while we see the meteor showers moving in the foreground, the real stars in the background actually move as well, even when the camera has stopped panning around the Tarnished and they're completely still. You can even see a couple of constellation like groups moving among them, which lines up pretty well with the english translations where Sellen and Iji state Radahn halted constellations (which would make it clear he wasn't only affecting Meteors)

The Japanese doesn't use a word for constellation, but it also doesn't use the word for meteor in this dialogue either. It translated roughly as "Flowing stars" which at least according to the person who put together the eng/JP item description docs, was not meant to be meteors due to this, it just lines up as well since we know Radahn did confront falling stars/meteors.

So, does just mean "star" or more generally "heavenly body" with 流れる being intended to describe it as "flowing" or "streaming." I think this is supposed to tie in with the idea of the movement of the stars affecting fate, which ostensibly would also include shooting stars (but I don't think it needs to be exclusively referring to them.)
Typically the game uses 流星 to refer to meteors or shooting stars, which, as far as I can tell, does derive from the same root 流れ, so in this context it would fit anyway since Radahn seems to have specifically confronted falling stars.
From what I can tell, the use of "constellations" appears to be a localisation flair on FrogNat's part to make the language more interesting. But, according to the dictionary, in one sense when read せい (Sei) can refer to the Chinese constellations, which is possibly what prompted FrogNat to localise it that way.

With this in mind I don't think there's any contradictions left regarding the star level stuff being legitimate in ER and I'll probably scrap the old star level thread I made and rework it since there's more info available now.

Didn't see this thread before. Surprised to see an actually kinda good toaru thread

@NeloAngelo has good calcs of Gabriel's feats here: https://www.fanverse.org/threads/toaru-feats-calculation.1231745/post-65342665

Astro In hand and Collapsing Stars should basically cancel each other out.

However, other than Astro In Hand, Gabriel hasn't actually shown any spells that hit as hard as it, the narrator says she has spells on the same level but she never actually performs them.

Comparatively, Radahn's normal gravity magic should be at the same level as his collapsing star magic.

Also, Gabriel can shoot out invisible attacks, and mess with intuition/sixth sense, meaning you can't predict its attacks.

Something flew past Carissa’s face, and the mountain behind her was vaporized. She
could not react at all. Misha realized this, and readjusted her aim, moving her palm a
little bit.
“The Power of God is a messenger angel. She must be good at manipulating information.
She must be obscuring our sixth senses of premonition and intuition. It seems like we
can only rely on our 5 normal senses for this fight…”

Not sure how effective this would be on Radahn tho when he's already barely functioning as is.

Gabriel's body is made out of Telesma which is energy, so physical attacks shouldn't have much effect on her, and she can also create a body out of ice ^ @NeloAngelo's thread has the quotes under "self-destruction" and "phreatic explosion"

Her main weakness is that she needs something to chain her to the world, in OT 4 it was all the stuff Touya collected, in OT 21 it was the pillars in the Star of Bethlehem, without them she gets sent back up to heaven, probably doesn't matter in this case though since Astaro's OP hasn't said anything about Gabriel needing an object to chain her.

the to aru threads against other fic chars, are still temp banned, u forgot the previous time what i said, huh? lel

ps: i will tell ya, when they will be usable again, sit back and chill, smh

Gonna give yall a chance with these threads going forward. Dont take advantage of my kindnes

@Astaro

Does Gabriel have anything chaining her to the world or is that being handwaved? Cause if it isn't that means Radahn doesn't actually need to target Gabriel.

Inb4 this is an eternal stalemate with the two of them glaring at each other while trying to mentally move/stop the stars while not doing anything on the ground.

Occasionally someone walks by and looks at the giant and the alien angel thing and wonders what they could be doing, but nothing ever happens so eventually people just learn to ignore them and go on with their lives.

Funny mental image, at least :skully
