Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

But to actually get off my high horse and do my fucking job for once:

None of this is incorrect(I don't care for the To Aru side though) in the statements and even where we stand on plenty of this ourselves. Arcueid/Archetype: Earth CAN be unironically Universal, she's only not so because we want more definitive proof that she is... BUT we also equally can just accept this because... it fucking happened.
:heston
You have the nature of the Textures, the Mythologies those Textures inhabit, the timelines(though he should mention the timelines are only erased from human perception as it's the Planet that fuels them, the Universe fully remembers all of it)...

The issue is that there's no character atm that is Universal to any degree as of yet thus, the Nasuverse is just a series that has an insanely massive Multiverse(and it's even more massive than that considering the truth of where the Machine Gods came from basically puts that there) with potentially BS levels of beings outside of it(We literally got confirmations that even simple ass Angels are too damn powerful for Mages to even bring forth, which means that we can't even fathom how truly strong the big cheese really is even with the small bits of context we do get)... but no one that we can remotely fathom even touches that shit.

If the OBD were to evaluate Nasu like it does most modern series it'd totally end up at some hilariously inflated x-versal standing

But that would be dumb and I prefer the more grounded version we use now :kannasip

Yep, we unironically could and it would be hard to refute... it's just don't see the point and I honestly agree with Type-Rey's philosophy anyway on the franchise so I just tend to go with how he goes until we get some definitive push in a direction.

I've seen Gudao haters and downplay him and I hate them.

I never thought I'd ever meet a Gudao glazer!

Yes, Gudao is not a normal human during the course of F/GO. No, Gudao was still within normal human capacity during Okeanos and he didn't outrun Heracles by his own ability !

Herc got hold back by other Servants. Artemis, Atlanta, Mash!

But he still got hold back by them and he still manage to catch up with Gudao who have a headstart in getting to the David's Ark!

Ritsuka is non-human in his mentality and soul, not his physical ability!

Atlanta's attack can reaches A rank!

And Mash doesn't need to attack him, she just need to stand in his way!
you are the one who is downplaying Gudao, not that other person. He absolutely has the ability to defeat Heracles

Don't tell me that you are pushing for Fire Force universe level
I do

Shinra has a lot of bullshit by the end but that aint part of it :skully
Actually yeah he has It, even randoms like Tatsuo have it

They saying he got all this shit but he couldnt fucking bring arthur back from fucking space, he had to wait for the nigga to get back on his own
Shinra didn't even use his powers on Arthur, he was more focused on rebuilding the world and beating the final villain than saving his friend that was FINE.
also the context of Death not being able to reach Arthur is weird.

Because Death mentions that one of the pillars is not on earth...but Arthur is not a Pillar, then he later proceds to disapper and creates a space where a being like him while reside (the death room)

Shinrabanshoman could rewrite the planet pretty easy, but he couldn't reach into space. Same thing for Death, Asura, and Kid. Even the Madness of Order or Asura's fear aura couldn't cross the gap between the Earth and the Moon without a bunch of time.
I am 300%sure that the Sun was not a smiling Sun when the cataclysm succeded...

Also going back and reading the last few chapters of Fire Force reminds me how conflicted I am over the way that series ended.

I love that Shinra actually used his powers to change the world substantially, and the tie-in to Soul Eater was great.

But holy shit do I hate how the narrative pretends Haumea and the White-clad actually had any kind of point at all.

Humanity got reduces to a single island in the middle of a sea of fire for a century, had to deal with people exploding into monsters, and a massive conspiracy to burn them all alive. Despite all of that, humanity had to be continuously gaslit into actually considering the Cataclysm, and even then didn't actually go willingly into the flames. They had to be forced in the end.

"Humanity actually secretly desires self-destruction", my ass. Go fuck yourselves you uppity shit-heads.
I think it is clear that the evangelist was manipulating them, and this point is shown in the story, like The White clad even prevented Shinra for being publically known has the saviour, if that is not manipulation, i don't know what It IS.

Yeah, the edge of space being where the "gods" of the setting hit the limit of their influence is consistent through both series.
The evangelist having the power to actually affect the entire universe:what...do you mean?
In fact all of SE revolves around it since Asura is only able to escape Death by hiding on the Moon.
Death sealed his soul to prevent Asura from escaping, but do to that fact, he was unable to leave Death city.
Also Asura was a danger even for the witches Who lived in another realm.
And also Death is consistently stated to be the ruler of the cosmos, not just the ruler of earth

Yeah, but that's my problem. It's just a delusion.

Except then Shinra goes and acts like it's valid and not just a dumb bitch acting out because her mind-reading abilities were too extra being enabled by a death cult.

I like what Shinra ended up doing, but I don't like that in doing so he "validated" any of what the White-Clads believe. He should have just turned off their powers and restored the earth before telling them to grow up. :patrickrage:

On the other hand it's entirely in-character for Shinra to try and save a bunch of delusional psychopaths even if he has to be incredibly extra about it and drag the whole world in, which is why he's the GOAT and I still like the series overall :lit
Like you say, he is the Goat, and he showed them Empathy, which is what a Hero Will do, show their understanding, even if they disagree (and is not like everyone, and i mean, FUCKING EVERYONE, calls It a crazy thing, man It IS even said that the Evangelist is sacred Madness and that literraly also ties with SE, It IS Madness, all of this IS Madness)

This nigga ain’t serious

:skully

Also love how while they use all manner of scans and screen shots for Fate, they only use the Toaru wiki for their source of information

Also World’s Reference Point doesn’t = Pure World. Tired of people confusing the two

I always saw it as them being as delusional as you’d expect a Doomsday cult to be

:maybe

Genuinely curious at what got this bro to write such a admittedly detailed Multi post essay

It’s definitely got a history in certain places like SpaceBattles, OBD, and ole Anime Vice back when that was running but it’s not like Toaru vs Nasuverse is a particularly widespread debate, especially these days.

In just the few weeks it’s been a thing, “Could 100 men take down Harambe?” was a bigger debate

:hestonpls

True…

MAAAAAAAAAAAN
Noctis and Clive aren't TIEING shit, Clive wrecks his shit.
How the hell are Serah and Noel below Noctis and Clive?
No way in hell is Light the strongest Final Fantasy protag.
Where the hell are Cloud and Squall?
Lightning has better claim to universal or higher than most of them seeing as she beats up the guy who actually warps her entire setting. IDK how anyone else in 13 fits into that outside of her and Bhuni though, it was kind of a plot point that by the end everyone else was superfluous in power.
I mean everybody but Serah and Sazh helped block and disperse an attack from Bhunivelze Light was struggling with on her own, then she had to use all their power (this time including Serah and Sazh) to beat Bhunivelze.

So they're weaker certainly but I wouldn't say their power was "superfluous" when it's the reason she was able to deal the final blow to Bhuni.

The believe that Lightning fought the actual literal god and death of the entire final fantasy verse and as such shes multiversal

Well no, she just fought the God of her own verse which doesn't mean much on its own in comparison to what others have done.
Sure there's the Dissidia thing but that shit scales to ALL the main characters, not just Light.

For just the trilogy, you could argue universal for sure 'cause the fact does remain Bhunivelze did make a new universe and it was stated he could destroy it. Light doesn't get multiversal anything though without using shit that everybody else scales to anyway.

Zell BELOW Sabin, Yang, Tifa AND Snow? :whatisthis

I think these people need to replay FFVIII, putting any of those characters anywhere but at or near the top of their respective brackets is fucking asinine.
And Black Mages

:heston
Stop trying to raigen my FFXIII cast tiktok. :smh

Though at least Hope, being that he's confirmed to still be able to turn into Bhunivelze, actually has a strong argument for being the top (non-MMO) Black Mage...except for the fact that they counted Rinoa and yeah, it's absolutely her.

Let's just quietly ignore the fact that neither Hope nor Rinoa would actually count as Black Mages by definition. Hope not only has healing and buffs, his strongest move is basically Holy just with a different name. Rinoa can use any magic she damn well pleases, via junction system or being a sorceress herself. They are mages but they're not BLACK mages if you know what I mean. :maybe

Pretty sure Vivi should be higher too.

How in the name of Christ is Vanille, a character whose ultimate move is DEATH and whose main benefit is her DEBUFFS, a fucking WHITE mage? :whatisthis

Never mind the fact her name isn't Oerba Yun (that's FANG'S name, ie Oerba Yun Fang). Her full name is Oerba Dia Vanille. This is inexcusable levels of ignorance, given Vanille literally says her full name in one of the best scenes of the entire game so it's not excusable that they didn't know this. :really

And where the hell is Yuna, an actual god damned White Mage? Yes she's primarily a summoner, but given who else they've classed as White or Black mages it should hardly matter.

I guess I should just be glad Selphie actually got a high position here, much as she also shouldn't count as a white mage.
