At Valrin's declaration, the Null's head spun rapidly to face the Knight, the pilot inside too surprised to let go of the control in time to reign in the instinctual reaction.
Liam couldn't understand why he was refusing any help: they just discovered that they were now stranded on another planet, not Earth or some equivalent to it, but an alien world; the ship that could have been a source of both supplies and shelter had to be destroyed because actual demons now roamed the interiors, something that he was still trying to process the implication off.

Was he that secretive? Was that a cult thing?

And what was that all about with the voice that was not a voice broadcasted directly in Liam's mind?

"Knight Errand Valrin Haldentum, please stop..."

Liam's voice wavered, feeling unwell after dealing with both the voices of the demons and the knight's weird communication. It feels uncomfortably similar, as if those things were tied to whatever Valrin did. He had to ask about it later.

"Valrin, I don't think that what you are doing makes... any sense?" the scientist began, his voice weak in the radio with long pauses in the middle of the sentence, as if he was gathering his thoughts and courage.

"They offered help, and we are technically invading... and marooned... and without anything that could help us out of this. We have our Mobile Suits, yes, but even they have limits. What would happen if your Ignus needs more fuel? Or the people around us need something?"

The Ceran Military reacted very aggressively at Valrin and his psychic(?) shout, causing everyone to do something that Liam could only guess would block Valrin from repeating that stunt.
He needed to ask them about the technology, If it was powerful enough maybe...

Unfortunately, his ideas and project were interrupted by the high-pitched voice of what sounded like an excitable kid piloting a powerful weapon. Even if the blue MS looked more like an LLR-type suit due to the sensor radom on the shoulder.

"I... uh... just found myself here. I was studying an exotic gravitational phenomenon while in orbit around one of the colonies and flew too close. Next thing I knew, I was in a desert, with a ship crashlanding near us."
Seeing as Liam didn't know how to block I didn't bother turning on the radio and instead extended my will towards him and the rest of the knights around me so they could here this too.

And with it I whispered my replies in my own voice.

"Yes they offer help, but if they had continued onwards, they would have possibly been transmitted to and spread corruption. Mercy is not something to be given freely, so I suspect they very much want something in turn. If we were truly invading by any reasonable standards, they would have already opened fire and we would be naught but glass."

"We cannot guarantee what they say and these people around us are under our protection. These new actors must be suspected, especially with their errant thoughts and susceptibility to corruption that we know now to be in this realm true. Their claims of jurisdiction on countless tons of sand means nothing on the scales of the souls we must save. That is why I am here. They clearly know nothing of psykana, believing that scrambling thoughts and mental trivia would stop a determined or experienced Psycker. That is merely a trick for baselines to block those with little experience, or to stop yourself from leaving important info at the front of your mind. They are entirely helpless, believing corruption to be "a memetic disease". It is not. It is far far worse than that as you have seen and fought agaisnt first hand.

As for Ignus, Ignus was first forged over 11 thousand years ago in the Dark Age of Technology. His reactor has not tired in that time, and I have spent weeks before priroly piloting him alone. He has no fuel to run out of. Even if he were to be immobilized and his self repair systems destroyed, if I am still alive, I myself can be a threat to even Titan class war engines with pure Psykana, especially in this realm.

"The Crew around us are the remnants of an Inquisitior's retenue. A hike in a desert over 300kms with minimal supplies when most of the crew is augmented in some way I hardly doubt would be anywhere near the worst things this crew has had to do on the regular, let alone for survival. Even if your Knight is immobilized, they likely have the skills to help you repair it."

This organization will be investigating in time, Liam, and then judgment rendered, but we are not in a position to be sure of them, and most certainly are not in a position to be giving away the lives and souls of those in our care to unknown mere children, one of which I'm suprised passed mental eveualtions to connect to a Knight. I am fairly certain I have spent more time actively piloting Ignus than most of them have been breathing, and inspire confidence in there experience that does not."

That said I withdrew my will from our Knights and instead refocused on the Cerans. While each of the components I could not read anything useful for, that was not my purpose focusing on them. With time I could probably pry open their thoughts, but I doubt with my inexperience that it would be a quick affair.

Let alone subtitle enough, but that was not my rational for reentering my soul to surround the 4 pilots heads. If they decided to open fire I would reply in kind.

There was a reason for all the runes and words upon Ignus. One of the biggest weaknesses of a Knight. That a telekinetic psycker could simply crush the pilots inside.

"Chigara" disagrees with what Valrin had to say about letting him and the rest of the survivors be.

"I don't think that would be possible. I mean, letting four heavily armed mechs that answer to nobody roaming free in sovereign lands? And furthermore, you're in the Empty Quarter, Cera's biggest desert; with the closest town nearly 300 kilometers away. I don't think you'll like the odds, even if we somehow gave you what provisions we can spare."

After Valrin made his statement over his Knight's war horns, there was a spike of tension and alarm in the mind of the green mech's pilot. And the Questor would immediately know why.

"By the prismatic peaks, he's a psion!"

Psion? A local term for the warp-touched it seems. And then there it was: The distinctive feeling of being pushed away by a mind shutting itself off from the outside. For him to be aware of what was before him and knowing exactly what to do in this sort of event? It seems that this is hardly his first time encountering psychics.

"Psion? Y-You don't mean-"

"Yes, Chigara. A mind-reader. Close your mind, think of useless things and trivia."

"W-What about me?! I don't want to give away my deepest, darkest thoughts and secrets to a stranger!"

"You're good Asaga. Just stay as you are."

"Wait, what do you mean stay as I am?!"

Chigara's mind followed suit after Vicious, shunting away the Questor's probing. But Asaga's mind remained as it was, though with her... Personality and mindset, the contents of her thoughts are rather useless to Valrin. Blessed is the mind too small for doubt indeed.

"Regardless, he may well be right about the ship. I know not of his so-called Inquisition of the God-Emperor, but the way he speaks of the ship and what I felt, even from what little remains... I believe it and its crew was infested with a cognitive plague, a disease of the mind. Little wonder why its reactor went critical."

Asaga expresses confusion at the very concept and parrots what the older pilot said.

"Mind disease?"

"Think of it as a virus Asaga, except that you catch it by perceiving it with your conscious mind. Simply going mad from it is the best-case scenario."

"You mean like a cursed video that kills those who watch it in 7 days?"

"That... That is a close approximation, yes."

"Right, I'll tell Ava and the Cap'n to blow every part of the ship into atoms if you think it's that bad."

"I think I should be the one to tell. Better for Captain shields to hear it straight from my mouth."

Temporarily leaving Asaga and Chigara to their own devices, and hoping they would hold keep on holding into his instructions well enough to keep their minds warded, Vicious opens up a new closed communications channels back into the ship.

"Captain, do you copy?"

The male captain's younger sounding voice responds from the other end. "Loud and clear. What's the situation?"

"One of their pilots is making a request. He wishes for the remains of the ship to be destroyed. And to be made sure that not a single trace of it remains."

The captain was initially appalled, and a little bit suspicious of this information. Perhaps those survivors had something to hide? Some shady piece of information that they did not want coming to light? or maybe to deny anyone the secrets of whatever technology and science they utilized? He couldn't do that. The man of silvery hair swallows dry, his lips part as he leans to the microphone with a subtle breath drawn as if ready to speak, but then-

"It's not worth it, captain," Vicious spoke once more at the last moment. Almost as if he already knew what the captain was going to say. "I have reason to classify the wreckage as a potent and infectious cognitive hazard. If we go any closer, we might be susceptible to the anomaly's effects. If we just leave it here, there is no telling how and when it will spread and endanger the citizens of Cera."

Meanwhile, Asaga and Chigara's machines stood ramrod straight; their optics boring holes in the outworlder mechs with their combined gaze. The tension having abruptly grown at the brazen statements made by the Mechanicum Questor. But then one of them speaks over an open line to the other pilots, the energetic and childish voice clearly not Chigara's.

"So, what are you guys in for?"

Despite it being physically impossible to hear, the outworlder pilots could've sworn they the sound of one hand clapping... Clapping against a forehead that is.
There seemed to be a stand-off of sorts here, with caution, perhaps even paranoia, causing issues with cooperation. Daniel felt a degree of hesitance as well, but they’re not getting anywhere like this. Then suddenly, he heard an oddly energetic voice ask them what they were in for.

“If you’re asking how or why we got here, we don’t even really know ourselves. Something dragged us here, and that’s all we remember.”
Seeing as Liam didn't know how to block I didn't bother turning on the radio and instead extended my will towards him and the rest of the knights around me so they could here this too.

Daniel opened a private line between only him and the other three pilots on his side and offered his own view on the matter.

“I get being cautious, I really do, but I’m not sure we have much of a choice except to work with them. This is their territory, they won’t let us roam free and we do have enough on our hands without antagonizing the locals. Maybe it would help if we inform them of the gravity of the threat we just dealt with?

“And if they do permit the destruction of the ship in its entirety, I’d say it’s one sign that we can at least be on working terms with them.”

Kayto blinks several times in both confusion and worry at Vicious' statement. He knew the pilot long enough that he isn't the sort to make comments in jest, especially in the line of duty. But to make a claim with such surety that those tiny blackened piles of slag could be a danger to any who approaches them? He was finding it a bit hard to believe. Turning his eyes to his XO, the brunette, she didn't even need to wait for Kayto to speak; already knowing from his expression and body language that he was seeking her input on the matter.

"I trust in his judgment Captain, he knows far more of these sorts of things than we do and he has proven the worth of his knowledge before."

"Then I suppose it's settled. Crew, prepare the Trinities to fire in-atmosphere. Target the debris and flotsam around the crash site."

A chorus of ayes is heard from the bridge crew as the white ship's weapons systems engage.

"To think that the newest class from Galatine Shipworks would be doing garbage disposal on its maiden voyage..."

"Better that than firing our weapons in anger Captain."

"Yeah, so you can write up reports about the functionality of our weapons in painstaking detail during the firing and not after, Ava."

"Since when did you get so cheeky? Doesn't suit you at all."

Meanwhile back on ground level, after hearing what Liam and Daniel had to say, Asaga couldn't quite contain herself.

"Oh, I see! Just like Vicious!"

The green mech turns towards the white and red mech as if it had just been slapped. And before her two wingmen can get a word in and clear things up, Asaga keeps going...

"I mean, you totally are right V? And since the rest of you came in on the same boat as him, being lost in space and time and stuff; I think the rest of you could take this as a sign that you're in good hands, I mean we ain't PACT after all!"

Since it was out of the bag, Vicious decides to throw his piece in.

"She is correct. I am not from here, coming from a much further place than even these two, who aren't even native Cerans; yet they still welcomed me with gracious hospitality and soon after, came to accept me as their friend despite my circumstances. Whatever world full of intrigue and danger within or without you hail from Psion, you will not find any of that with this particular company."

And just as Vicious made his declaration, the entire group would see the white ship yaw, presenting its side towards the survivors and showing its name: Sunrider. The way the name was emblazoned on the ship was rather obstinate, even by the standards of the Imperium; done in a manner that took nearly 1/8th of the hull's surface, practically telling everyone what it was. And without warning, several laser banks on its hull projected deadly light right into the crash site, creating several hundred-foot tall plumes of molten glass where they struck. Seems that Valrin got through to these "Cerans" in regards to the danger even the fragments of the Mercury's Alacrity possessed.

"That demonstration of Ceran firepower would be my doing. Will that be enough proof of our intentions?"

"It will suffice for the moment and with your available resources. I am responsible for the crewmen around us, officially and not, so I do wish to be kept aware of their status and to have uninhibited contact with them".

I could not leave them in charge fully, not with the artifact still left unknown. However with my allies disagreeing, even a preemptive attack may not be wise.

Screaming in rage and dismay all the way down, the spook goes splat on the tarmac, instantly dying from the impact. Moments later, the bomb that Kane stuck on its chest goes off in a massive explosion, far too big for something no wider than a dinner bowl and leaving a significant-sized crater on the edge of the runway... Talk about cutting it close. But now that he has some peace of mind at the moment, he'd notice that the Mazinger Z was getting manhandled by what looked like some sort of lizarman kaiju decked out in guns and armor.

Gungnir 8 has flatlined.

Hugin, requesting permission to exfil. I'm not losing any more of my team to the mammals.

Permission granted. The plan has gone to the next phase regardless.

Copy. Gungnir team, exit the stage and light the rest of the fireworks.

Negative Gungnir 1, I've almost got the treasure from the mimic.

You have 2 minutes Gungnir 4.

I'll get it done in one.

Ears ringing from the infernal racket caused by what had been unmistakably a railgun slug disintegrating upon failing to destroy its target, the Rayleonard Consultants grit their teeth and continued to press onwards towards their hangar. If the explosions weren't enough to wake up the rest of the base, then that massive clang should have done the trick. Reaching their goal, the consultants entered through the side doors.

"Friggin miracle we made it without anything deliberately trying to kill us huh?"

Stella however isn't quite as optimistic.

"Don't jinx it Bob. And you can put me down now."

The burly man does so, with Shinkai handing the cane back to its rightful owner. Up until now, he'd been dead silent; finding no reason to talk. Until now that is.

"Our plane."

Pointing towards their transport, the trio found the rear cargo doors opening all on their own, an extremely worrisome sight. For one thing, there was absolutely no other way to get the doors to lower automatically, it was all manual; done from inside the plane or through a secured control panel on the rear of the titanic craft. Which meant that something else got to their plane and its extremely valuable cargo first.

"Awwww hell..."

"We have to secure Split Moon. Now."

No more words needed to be said, and the trio quickly advanced towards their now-compromised plane. By the time they had almost reached one of the plane's doors, Shinkai suddenly widened his eyes in horror before he abruptly shouts:

"BOB TO YOUR RIGHT!!!"

Barely stopping himself, a gash suddenly appeared across Bob's belly, drawing blood but little else. Suppressing his scream of pain and shock with a hiss, the pilot then threw a left cross at where he thought the phantom attacker's head was. His instinct was on the mark as his fist created a dull cracking sound, clear evidence of him hitting the ghost where it hurt. Hopefully, more than he had hurt himself as he recoiled and screamed in agony at having most likely broken his hand.

Already moving despite getting rattled and as its cloaking field began to falter after Bob had punched a hole through its helmet, the spook struck at the pilot with its blade, shanking him on the belly, twisting as it pulled its arm out. But before it could deliver another stab, the power-armored infiltrator was tackled to the floor by Shinkai, who then tried to shove a ball-point pen into the hole Bob made on the spook's helmet with a yell of exertion. But the spook was way quicker, catching the young pilot's arm and stopping the makeshift shiv centimeters away from the hole and then kicking him off with its digitigrade leg, sending the ex-IJN pilot into the air for a short while before he comes to a rather harsh landing on the hangar floor, writhing in agony from the severity of the blow.

Kipping up, the fiend was about to march towards the prone pilot and crush his head like an egg beneath its foot if not for Stella's intervention; throwing her cane at the spook's legs with surprising accuracy, tripping it up and giving the young pilot time to recover, where he then scrambled for the stick while the phantom was distracted by his partner. Just as it was about to go after Stella, who tried to put on a brave face but was openly shivering in fear at the prospect of fighting the monster. Shinkai got between it and her, facing off against the power-armored saboteur with a Kendo stance. The very image of a Knight defending his lady from harm.

The fiend cocks its head in amusement at Shinkai's theatrics before obliging his desire to die with some dignity intact by having another wristblade pop out, this time from its off-hand before it moved in to attack, striking with a wild flurry of slashes and thrusts all while practically ignoring any of the young pilot's counterattacks thanks to its armor. As the fight went on, Bob was busying himself by limping up the jet's airstairs, having lowered them all while holding his guts and blood in; the feat made only possible due to Shinkai and Stella taking the fiend's attention away from him.

"Stella, Ikki, hang on tight down there..."

Barely avoiding getting his throat punctured by a lightning-fast thrust from the spook, Shinkai swung the cane's heavy, metallic handle at the side of the phantom's head, only for it to block the strike with its arm with barely any reaction from its part and then to try and wrench the cane out from the pilot's hands. To which he denies the attempt by putting all his weight behind a thrust aimed at its face, completely shattering its helmet's visor and forcing the fiend to back away, where it decided to take a breather to assess its injuries. With the opaque visor gone, Shinkai and Stella ended up getting a good look at the spook's exposed face: Revealing a distinctly reptilian pair of slit pupils on a scaly face pincushioned with shards of "glass", but drew no blood. Narrowing his eyes at the revelation and its implications, Shinkai then began to circle the spook; to keep his muscles from going stiff from the exertion and waiting for it to make its next move.

"Dinosaur Empire..."

The spook followed the young pilot's circling pace in kind, its posture radiating predatory hunger and responding to Shinkai's glare with one of its own, out of anger perhaps? But then it spoke, with an incredibly dry and monotonous voice, sarcasm practically dripping from its tongue.

"An astute observation."

And then the reptilian commando attacks. A quick horizontal slash aimed for the consultant's liver to draw in a reaction. Successfully so as Shinkai proceeds with a block of his own, drawing the commando's wrist blade into a lock with the cane. But the dino's inhuman strength ended up forcing the cane to be pushed up high, leaving Shinkai's stomach exposed wide to a pump kick that crashes full force against the man's solar plexus. The sheer force of the kick was enough to lift the man's feet off the floor and send him hopping back about six feet. Forcing the breath out of the pilot's mouth through gritted teeth and causing him to double up in pain at his torso once again taking abuse.

Shinkai refused to surrender, forcing himself back to a proper stance despite the fact that the mere act of moving his torso was already starting to hurt. There was barely any time to recover as the assailant darted in for a follow-up thrust into the man's sternum, barely thrown off course as the cane was pointed outwards to bind against the wrist blade and fend it off course with a forceful flick before sequencing into a counter with a rising vertical strike that caught the spook dead in the jaw. For little to no effect besides staggering the attacker without causing damage due to its mostly intact helmet.

Growing angry and impatient at Shinkai's continued defiance, the infiltrator upped the tempo: Lashing out with a fearsome succession of thrusts and slashes with both blades, the assault was blocked and deflected away by the consultant's cane much in the same manner as the reptilian's earlier attempts, but with every strike he stopped, his reaction to the next attack got sloppier and slower. Lashing out with a hooking slash, the cane was at last smacked aside, breaking the consultant's guard.

Seizing the opportunity, the dino rushes in, seizing the cane with its off-hand to keep Shinkai from using it before stepping forward and delivering a palm strike underneath the consultant's chin, the force of the blow causing the pilot to involuntarily take a step backward and almost giving him a concussion from how violently his head recoiled before the fiend follows up by sweeping his leg with a low kick, unbalancing him further and finally sending him to the ground by wrapping his arm around the consultant's neck and shoulder before pushing him down head-first. All this in less than 10 seconds.

Stunned from the assault, Shinkai could do little to stop the spook from wrenching the cane out of his hands before it rears its arm back; ready to finish the pilot off.

"You lose."

At the last possible second, Stella intervened. The red-haired woman made use of a wrench she found lying around and jumped into the back of the infiltrator, quickly wrapping the wrench around the front of its throat and pulling back on it with all her strength to choke the dino out, sending the fiend stumbling backward with Stella's weight pulling on it and forcing him away from Shinkai as it tried to pulled on the wrench to relieve the pressure.

Unfortunately, Stella's attempt to occupy the spook didn't last long. As the commando backpedaled into the closest wall with all of its weight, causing her to loosen her grip from being winded, the slam was a painful distraction for the fiend to pick her thumb out with surgical precision, breaking it with a quick, almost casual twist, earning him a bloodcurdling scream of pain from the operator and allowing it an opening to get her off its back with a well-placed elbow to the side of her ribs and then shrugging off the hitchhiker like a stubborn coat while she was busy writhing in pain.

Turning its attention back to Shinkai, who was groggily getting back up to his feet; the spook sends the consultant sprawling towards the ground with a cruel slap across his comely face. Eyes narrowing in arrogant satisfaction, the fiend once again raises its arm, to finally end the farce of a fight; only to be interrupted yet again, this time with a loud whistle coming from the jet’s direction.

"You're pre-history, punk!"

And there was Bob, propping himself against the jet's doorframe while holding and aiming a Barret .50 cal anti-materiel rifle that he had likely stored inside the transport, straight at the Dino's center of mass. Pulling the trigger before the spook could even fully realize that it was indeed history, the titanic rifle barks out its fury with a deafening boom that echoed throughout the hangar and the Dino suddenly found itself having a new orifice through its chest and straight out its back. The fiend remained transfixed for a moment, as if unable to register what just happened before sinking to its knees and falling over, dead.

Lying flat on his back for a few moments to both catch his breath and because he decided that the floor was very comfortable at the moment, Shinkai finally rises to his feet and looks towards his black, burly guardian angel; who had a massive shit-eating grin on his face despite him using the rifle as a crutch while still bleeding out from his hastily-bandaged belly wound.

"Bob, what took you so long? I got my ass handed to me."

“Gimme a break Ikki. Not exactly the easiest thing to bring Black Bart down from his crib while nursing a stab wound. ”

Seeing that Bob was fine for the moment, Shinkai turned his attention towards his partner, who was having some difficulty standing up straight without her cane. Wasting no time, the young pilot retrieves it for her and wordlessly hands it over, allowing her to finally get back to her feet.

“Thank you...”

Once again without any words between them, Shinkai picks up his partner bridal style before quickly making their way into the jet, where Stella immediately gets to her seat in the cockpit. Just as she was about to get to work, she suddenly bites back a hiss of pain at reflexively moving her broken thumb. Nonchalantly retrieving a bottle of painkillers from inside her coat, she pops in a pair without even needing to wash it down and quickly got back to the task at hand once the pain pills took effect by typing in a few commands on the console, causing a recessed radome to rise from the top of the transport.

“Radar is still good. Guess the Dinos couldn’t risk giving themselves away with jamming.”

Meanwhile, Shinkai attends to Bob; who was acting all tough as the younger consultant properly treated his wound, hardly making a sound. That is until he brought out the morphine syringe and the burly man immediately started getting very nervous.

“N-Nah man, I’m cool! I can ride out the pain! Bleeding’s stopped anyway!”

“Bob, I can’t exactly treat you properly without giving you this. Stella won’t let you fly the jet without finishing first-aid.”

“Yeah, but morphine’ll really take me out of it and we'd be grounded here!”

“C’mon Bob, we don’t have the time...”

Bob resists further by pushing against the consultant’s torso with his free arm, causing him to wince in pain, with the burly man’s face soon afterward contorting with guilt and shame.

“Kh!”

“Damn... You think it’s internal?”

“I’m fine, it’s only bruising...”

“Which’ll get worse if you go out there in Split Moon. But I think I’ve got the solution...”

Bob produces a small plastic bag from his coat pocket... Full of white powder.

”You have cocaine with you?!”

“It was prescribed! How do you think I could do those long intercontinental flights while keeping my sunny disposition? And besides, this stuff'll only make the bleeding worse so it's no good for me. You on the other hand...”

“I thought that that was just the coffee... Mataku... Fine, let me at it...”

Nervously taking the packet from Bob, Shinkai shakily opens it up and began to take in the nose candy just like in the movies... Before promptly degenerating into a fit of sneezing and coughing.

“Woah, Woah! Take it in, take it in! Don’t let it out!”

“What’s going on back there?! What did you do to Shinkai Bob!?”

“Just helping him with an injury he took from that lizard!”

Then, the fits stopped and Shinkai was suddenly up and about, eyes darting every which way and his fingers constantly clenching and unclenching all while he began to restlessly chatter and clack his teeth.

“Shinkai? What did this fool do?”

"Nothing to worry about I’m fine I’m good. Gotta hurry or we’re all going to die. Get Split Moon ready for takeoff.”

Without even waiting for Stella to respond, the Shinkai was already halfway down the crew compartment before promptly disappearing behind a rad-shielded door that leads into the back cargo bay where Split Moon waited.

”...You gave him drugs didn’t you?”

“Desperate times. Princess, desperate times...”

Then the awkward atmosphere was broken by several successive sonic booms coming from outside. Not wasting any time, Stella goes back to her seat and promptly begins doing what her partner requested, with one small monitor to the side of the main screen transmitting a live feed of the Split Moon’s cockpit, where Shinkai had already begun to secure himself upon on the heavy reclined pilot seat in a near-supine position, quickly pulling wires out of ports from the futuristic-looking seat to plug into his wrists and the back of his neck, the act giving him seemingly no pain despite how invasive the procedure looked.

“Shinkai, you’re not in your flight suit, piloting Split Moon without it is-”

“No time. Need to be out there now, help others. Split Moon has the speed and me the reactions to dodge linear cannon fire from sniper. Hurry please.”

Sighing as there was really nothing she could do from where she was or to dissuade her partner from the course he was taking, she disengages the security and weapons locks, then proceeds to spool up the Split Moon’s reactor causing a steadily increasing buildup of radiation to emanate from within the cargo hold.

“Don't push yourself too hard... Commence the mission.”

“I won’t die, can’t. Not yet. Split Moon launching.”

All of a sudden, everyone in the area with the equipment and the means would detect a massive spike of radiation coming from inside one of the airbase’s hangars. And then something explodes out of said structure in a blinding, whitish blur of motion, leaving a large hole in the hangar on its way out before suddenly taking off in a westerly direction in a burst of whitish-green flame, its momentum carrying it further and further into the distance.

This time, the Gettersaur wasn't able to counter Tyzell's attack and it was sent flying by the kick to its head, rolling and tumbling across the Alpine fields for several hundred meters before stabilizing itself with its jets and coming to a stop with a very cliched pose. A closer look at the thing's mug reveals that Tyzell had broken its mouthgrill, if the sparks and its now-lopsided arrangement were any indication and thus disabling its plasma breath. But the damage didn't seem to bother the mechanical doppelganger all that much, quickly rising to its feet; the Gettersaur enters a combat stance and looked like it wasn't going to shirk away from taking on both super robots at the same time.

And then the radar warning alert on both Mazingers began to drone incessantly, the source being the Gettersaur right before them. Wait... The thing won't need radar lock to engage them at this range. Unless...

This time, I won't miss...
After being save by Ty, Kane would nod and speak.

“Thank for the assist, this monster sure can take a beating but it seem raw force is the way to go”

Kane said as Great Mazinger stood up as he would the release a Sword from one of his knees and get ready before the radar went crazy.. one of us was being targeted.

“Ty we might have to divide out attention if we wanna win this battle!”

"So we hit him hard and hit him fast?" I grinned. "Sounds like a plan!"

And then the radar got the big beeps.

"Right! I'll annoy him, you figure out the attack!" I then said, as I would then begin to try to run around, flipping up one of Z's arms as I aimed it like a gun, the barrel of six underneath the elbow firing....

"Drill Missiles!"

As I strafe and poked at it!

The Gettersaur doesn't dodge the spike missiles, instead, it brings to bear the needler and intercepts the incoming volley with a deluge of darts, creating a cloud of explosions and smoke between the two sides, which it then charges right on through at full throttle in an attempt to engage in hand to hand combat.

A split second before contact, however, thunder once again rings out and a hypersonic railgun slug was sent towards... Mazinger Z! Kane might have had the instinct to just barely dodge the sniper attack, but an absolute rookie like Tyzell? He'd better hope that the shot doesn't hit anywhere important or that he can angle the super robot's armor enough to minimize damage...

Closing the gap as the pair were dealing with the fallout of the sniper attack, the Gettersaur grabs one of the protrusions on its shoulder armor and pulls on it to reveal a melee weapon. Rather than a twisted parody of a Getter Tomahawk or some other equally brutish implement, the doppelganger instead brandishes forth a beam saber, its plasmic shaft coming to life with a cascade of golden sparks and using the momentum from its charge, tries to run the Great through with a thrust.

Gotcha. Recalibrate this hunk for rapid-fire, we'll have one more tally mark for a "super" robot.

Right, you don't have to tell me t-What is that?

What?

Zoom out, it's coming from the base. Fast. It's... It's not a TSF...

I'll destroy it as easily as one.

Concurrently, Shinkai and Split Moon were screaming at mach speed towards where the railgun slugs had come from, even with the way the seat had been designed to minimize g-forces on the pilot, he was still practically getting plastered into the chair with the sheer velocity of his machine's thrust.

"Overboosting... Without... Suit... Bad idea...!"

All of a sudden, he felt a flash of danger, and trusting in his senses; he flicks Split Moon's minimalistic controls to the side, causing Split Moon to jink, where a railgun slug whizzes past the whitish blur's form before smashing into the ground, where its impact causes a geyser of dirt and stone. Now knowing that he was made, Shinkai guns the throttle further pressing him into his seat.

By Gore...

I-It got lucky!

I don't know if you've noticed, but that thing is getting faster... Too fast for our cameras to properly track.

Whatever, it still has to deal with the chaperone. And when he pins that mammal down long enough...

Eventually closing the distance to the point that even his machine's rather modest radar suite can finally start to detect the sniper mechasaur's approximate location, somewhere beneath a hillside; Shinaki slows to combat speed; turning off the high-power rocket thrusters and bringing Split Moon's weapons to bear, where his foes can finally take a good look at Split Moon and the extreme amount of radiation emanating from it.

Still has TSF weapons though. Even with all that radiation coming from whatever it's powered by.

It's aiming right at us.

Not for long.

Zooming towards the hills at speed with its powerful boosters, Split Moon kept its rifle pointed forwards. Quickly having noticed that things were far too calm and quiet despite the clear danger he represented to his quarry.

"It isn't firing. No way I'm too close for it to properly hit me. Its waiting for something else."

But then he gets a sudden radar alert coming from an entirely different direction and acting upon instinct, he suddenly opens up with his rifle, sending a volley of shells down towards a treeline as a pair of plasma blasts smash against his machine, knocking it out of the sky.

"Of course, these guys aren't idiots after all!"

Fighting to regain Split Moon's balance, Shinkai manages to get it to land upright; kicking up a small cloud of dust and dirt. Still keeping eyes on where the ambush had come from, the pilot was eventually greeted by his attacker oh so kindly showing itself before him: A bipedal Ankylosaur Mechasaur, sporting several pockmarks on its enlarged, spiked pauldrons courtesy of his gunfire and a freaking gatling gun for a left arm.

At this distance, Shinkai can see the look of dismay in its reptilian eyes, clearly in disbelief to see that Split Moon had taken such a minor amount of damage from what had likely been its main weapons; earning the pilot a self-satisfied smirk. But his schafenfraude was short-lived as the dino went on the attack, going to town on Shinkai with its gatling arm while protecting its much lighter-protected head with its heavily armored right arm and following up by launching several spikes on its back, revealing that they were, in fact, missiles.

Reacting quickly, Shinkai began jetting backward at significant speed to dodge the incoming gunfire and shooting the incoming spike missiles down with the rifle, blanketing the sky above with explosions. While fast, Split Moon couldn't really cleanly get away from the hailstorm of lead, but what did hit was stopped dead in its tracks upon an invisible energy shield that flared into view with shimmering greenish-white sparks when the bullets splashed against it.

"PA's holding steady even with those plasma blasts."

Activating one of his shoulder weapons, the Split Moon's plasma cannon swings down to aim at the advancing mechasaur and with the sound of crackling lightning, projects an eye-scarring plasma blast that explodes in a blinding flash upon contact with the mecha-beast's arm, earning him a roar of pain and shock from having injured the creature. Not even waiting to see just what effect his attack had upon the monster, Shinkai grits his teeth and guns the quickboost; sending his machine hurtling towards the thing in an insane burst of speed and a flash of whitish-green flame. Even with the insane g-forces that made him feel like he got hit by a truck, he still managed to move his fingers and will his throughts into having his machine engage its Laser Blade and lash out with a leaping slash against the Mechasaur... Who had just spun around to strike at Shinkai with its wrecking ball tail.

This is going to suck...

The sounds of twisted, crumpling metal and the roars of a mechanical monster then echoed throughout the alpine plains.

Kane didn’t knew who was being targeted but before he could speak to Tyzell, the Gettersaur was making another move and coming in fast!

“A lightsaber? these enemies must be either too advance.. but it won’t change anything because!”

As Great Mazinger stood firm and waited for the Gettersaur to close the gap, before he threw his free hand to blitz through the beam saber, going all the way to grab it hand and hilt.

“I am going to send you to hell with your friend!!” As Kane then notice how their was certain areas not covered in armor, as he lifted up his Blade and try cutting off the Arm!

The Great's New Super Alloy Z hand was able to hold itself together long enough against the plasmic blade for Kane to successfully reach out and crush the offending weapon along with the Gettersaur's hand with a small, muffled explosion. However, the Gettersaur didn't just stand there and gawk when it realized that the Great was now holding its arm in place for its sword to cut off, and in an attempt to avoid losing the limb, it blasts off into the air and tries to batter the Mazinger Sword away with a jump kick and also to force it to let go of its hand.

As the "Silence" of the Bombardment of the remains of the cruiser fell over everyone i took time time once more to think.

Accepting these terms of surrender essentially, did come with some merits. I had blown the secret I was a psycker, but they seemed to have assumed this to be mind reading alone. They did not respond in kind to my psychoketetic threat with even the most basic of wards. While that may not be the constant of this planet, if complete compliance of the crew could be won over, in a fast escort that would be the best to spread the word of the Omnissiah as they could spread the word and deposite fanatical crew across the planet's outpost outposts to establish a foothold. That would be key in the compliance if this planet. I had to be ppatient in dealing with then uninitiated. They could not know better, especially if they believed Chaos to be a mere "memetic threat".

It would be hard, as worthy a test of faith, but hard noththeless it not just execute these pacifists noble dopes that dared called themselves Scions.

Dammit, he hazed me...wait-shit, that's a railgun shot headed my way!

I quickly angled the Z in such a way that...well, I can't avoid it, but when it hit my sides, it caused very minimal damage...like a hard scratch to the paintjob.

"Agh...you fucking son of a bitch, you scratched my ride!" I complained as I would then later see it charging towards and getting into a clash with Kane in the air.

I aimed one of the Z's arms in a very familiar pose, fist out!

"Time to throw it off it's game! Z's signature starter: ROCKET PUUUUUUNCH!" I declared as I let loose the signature Rocket Punch from the Z, the arm detaching and boosting at high speeds towards the Gettersaur's blind spots in order to get it distracted!

The Mazinger blade went flying, landing on the ground, as Great Mazinger would be knock down. As he stare at the Getter Dino before screaming!

“Why you! ATOMIC PUNCH!”

As Great Mazinger would fire his forearm, aiming to punch the Dino getter out of the sky.

The mechanical monster was just able to jink out of the way of the Wing Freedom's buster rifle blast with a barrel roll, where the edges of its left-wing glowed with angry red embers, having been singed by the energy blast. Even after it had bled speed and lift from the evasive maneuver, it still somehow managed to stop itself from slamming into the earth at supersonic speed, whereupon it proceeded to use the energy from its dive into a zoom climb, apparently seeking to drop out of sight for yet another swoop attack... Only to throw David off guard as it performed a loop-de-loop and locked onto the Wing Freedom, holding its fire for a moment in order to deliver an expertly-aimed shot from its back-mounted railgun... Straight towards its buster rifle! These things, they know about Phase-Shift Armor and its limitations!
Fortunately, David had experienced this exact sort of tactic before...A very awkwardly lengthy amount of times. The Buster Rifle split in half, and the Wing Freedom snagged both components out of the way before the railgun struck!

The Wing Binders opened, and the Wing Freedom took flight! The Gundam took on a near-angelic silhouette as it gave chase with the mechanized menace. The MS was dancing through the air almost, firing rapid barrage attacks to blitz the sky and bring the dinosaur back down to Earth!

Continuing its ascent, the Gettersaur was able to deflect Kane's incoming rocket punch with another kick, sending the limb hurtling out into the distance before retaliating with a quick volley of particle blasts aimed at the Great's head. But it couldn't get off more than a short burst before Tyzell's own rocket punch hits it on the side of its chest with a terrible keening sound, sending it careening out of control before crashing into the ground several hundred meters away.

Sadly, all the rocket punch did was knock it off balance as it quickly recovered from the attack and tried to prevent the two Mazingers from capitalizing on its vulnerable state by suppressing them with more particle blasts as it kept its shard launcher pointed at both Mazingers' heads from a prone position. It held the shard thrower's fire for a few moments before it abruptly lets loose, aimed not at the robots but towards the sky in a high-angle barrage, where the metal storm proceeded to guide themselves towards the Pilders sitting on top of both Mazinger's heads.

As this was happening, thunder once again booms across the battlefield; but the streaking comet did not come for the two Mazingers but towards the dark skies above...

Unfortunately for David, the pterosaur was more than quite a match for the Wing Freedom in the sky. Gunning its afterburners and folding its wings closer to its wiry body, the skyfiend was quickly able to break the Gundam's target lock in a burst of speed, building distance between itself and the Freedom before it makes a hard turn to try and rake the seraph with its wing-mounted pulse lasers and a snap-shot of its railgun before once again breaking away to avoid exposing itself to counterfire. However, even when it was facing away from the Gundam, David's radar warning receiver was constantly buzzing, likely due to a backward-facing radar... Oh boy.

And then his Gundam picks up the sound of thunder as yet another railgun slug screams towards his machine, this time on its blind spot.

Shouldn't we be shooting the mammal mech closest to us instead?

Relax, that thing isn't even a super robot, the chaperone's got it covered. Didn't you hear that tin can get pulverized?

So at least one of them was also a stranger to this place. That was somewhat useful to know. Daniel remained silent as they let loose their weaponry and fired away intense lasers to destroy the remnants of the tainted ship. In terms of firepower, it was about what was expected for a craft like that one. After it was all done, the one who performed that display spoke up, asking if that was enough.

“It’s fine enough for me. Any other help you can offer would be appreciated.”

"It will suffice for the moment and with your available resources. I am responsible for the crewmen around us, officially and not, so I do wish to be kept aware of their status and to have uninhibited contact with them".

I could not leave them in charge fully, not with the artifact still left unknown. However, with my allies disagreeing, even a preemptive attack may not be wise.

As the "Silence" of the Bombardment of the remains of the cruiser fell over everyone I took time once more to think.

Accepting these terms of surrender essentially did come with some merits. I had blown the secret I was a picker, but they seemed to have assumed this to be mind-reading alone. They did not respond in kind to my psychokinetic threat with even the most basic of wards. While that may not be the constant of this planet, if complete compliance of the crew could be won over, in a fast escort that would be the best to spread the word of the Omnissiah as they could spread the word and deposited fanatical crew across the planet's outpost outposts to establish a foothold. That would be key in the compliance of this planet. I had to be patient in dealing with the uninitiated. They could not know better, especially if they believed Chaos to be a mere "memetic threat".

It would be hard, as worthy a test of faith, but hard nonetheless it does not just execute these pacifist noble dopes that dared called themselves Scions.

Pondering the news, Liam took a moment to look closely at the green machine, the one wearing a veritable armory of missiles on its frame.
While working on the Null, many blueprints passed on his desk for consultation and improvements, and one in particular was the main machine that the Alliance was producing at the time, the Dagger.
Simple visor, conservative lines, he could see how that machine could be developed into the mobile suit that Vicious was piloting, however it seemes that everything was directly mounted on the MS like an Assoult Shourd, eliminating the most obvious comparison to the Multi Striker Pack, but the scientist couldn't honestly tell if that was an hindarance or not.
Less versatility, sure, but if you had multiple suits to use, you could afford to create specialized corps with weapons tailored for the tasks ahead, and the backpack that the Ceran's (?) machine was obviously incredibly powerfull looking.

Maybe he should be more worried about the fact that slipping into different universes was a more common occourence that he tought, MS curiosity could wait for a little...

"Maybe we could exchange notes, after all of this? It might be a good idea to pool our knowledgle, you know..."

Expecially now after Valrin's scene.
Liam got paranoia, he really did, but they were stranded with nothing, and whatever leverage his... 'ability' could give him was apparently well known to their savious.

Maybe that's why he let out a quiet "Thank Scott" when the Knight's pilot relented to the idea of the truce.

"Can you send a transport vessel for the people here? I think they deserved the rest..."

Using his other hand he quickly rose up to block the incoming particle shots, saving himself before he went to activated his atomic punch to fly back at him, and it reconnected back.

But not long the Saurus would be attacking again and Kane would stay on the defense, raising great arm to protect himself from the particle blasts, until he saw the shard incoming from the skies.

“Ty, double Mazinger Storm NOW!” As Great Mazinger mouth would release violent winds!

GREAT TYPHOON!” As the typhoon would go toward the air, trying to make the shard lose their velocity, but at the same time if he manage to survive, he can take the skies and use the storm to his advantage!

Vicious responds to Liam's request for sharing info, just a tiny bit suspicious.

"That depends on how you'll use that information as I've little desire to share my secrets, I do need to put food on the table after all."

And then to the next question.

"No need, The Sunrider shall take all of you in. If the rest of you accept that is."

@Sigismund @Crimson Dragoon @The Ancient Purple
After the Sunrider had discharged its lasers at the remains of their once proud ship, discourse ran hotly among the surviving crew. By now, they have gathered in a circle and argued about the choice to simply walk, braving the scorching sands or allow themselves to be taken in by from what are all accounts, heathens. At first the debates were hectic, failing to arrive to common ground.

Some were argued that it was their best chance of establishing peaceful contact with the natives of this "Cera" and get a scope of both the planet and the surrounding sector. Others were concerned of allowing heathens to hold their fate in their hands, offering little more than sheer suspicion of the real intentions of these "Cerans"; who know not of the Emperor or his light and therefore cannot be trusted.

Soon enough however, pragmatism and the desire to avoid wasting their lives and needlessly antagonizing the Cerans won out, as a consensus was established by the oldest and most well respected members of the crew, including the surviving Tempestus Scions, numbering 5 men, the debate quickly died down. Voices were calmed, doubts were eased, and appeasements were offered until the crew had come into a unanimous decision, with the Junior Officer speaking for his men.

"Lord Questor and uh... Strange Knights, tell these Cerans that we accept their offer for aid and that we will respect their laws and sovereignty."

While it sounded like a betrayal to Valrin, the Knight's warp-sense can feel that the Officer simply saw the ship as the path of least resistance towards finding out where exactly in the Milky Way they ended up and just who these Cerans truly are. After all, they're all servants of His most holy Inquisition; secrecy and subterfuge are their bread and water.

With that Vicious reponds to Liam again, despite his low baritone voice that oozed imperiousness and authority; the young scientist cannot help but picture the man grinning as he spoke.

"There's your answer."

Meanwhile Asaga, hearing what the tiny man had to say with her Ryder's aural sensors couldn't help but let it drop. Over her Ryder's loudspeakers. Where everyone could hear her.

"See, now wasn't that so easy?"

Her two wingmen and the Mercury's crew just stared at her red and white machine in silence.

Ha, gotcha, you-aw son of a bitch!

I went and blocked as much of the shots as I can...before noticing the real plan of attack as well.

"Aight, dunno what that is, but I'll work with this!" I then noted as I aimed out Z's mouth in an angle that can enhance Great's Typhoon and go...

"RUUUUUUSTO! HURRRIIIICAAAAANE!"

I called out in a manner befitting a super robot pilot as Z's acid rain-mixed winds shot out to combine with Kane's attack!
