Let's make this clear?
Upon completion, the full size of the gate into Makai will be 2 kilometer in diameter. This is the size of the gate that will allow for B Class Demons to notice it enter human world. Just like in Ningenkai, it stands to reason to size of the portal manifesting in Makai would be the same size in terms of how it presents itself visually.
And this portal does reach completion, make no mistake of that.

Prior to Raizen's death, Raizen is represented by 49% with the remainder of his nation being 7%.
