Here’s the thing, Kibito doesn’t say “ki” but literally “power” (written in Katakana here to emphasize I guess).

During Goku’s transformation sequence we see Tien and Chaotzu and they also mention Goku’s “power” (same term used) in regards to what is causing the Earth to shake violently.

We know that Gohan can also sense Goku’s Ki while in SSJ3 all the way from Earth, but in that instance he specifically refers to “his ki” instead of “power”.

This would mean that the “force of SSJ3 Goku’s tremendous power” which was causing the Earth to shake, must have also travelled all across the universe so that it was felt in the Kaioshin Realm as well, even though we do not see it shake on panel.


I can’t find any raw material talking about the Kaioshin Realm, but on a Japanese DB wikia it is reiterated that it is “about 10% of the macrocosm (Living World & Other World together). We know that Heaven (which is located in the Other World) is a “universe sized planet”, which would make the macrocosm twice the size of a standard universe.

So, on that merit, I guess that suggests Goku's Ki/Power is literally expanding to reach the Kaioshin Realm in a manner similar in nature to a wave is reaching a distant shore. And it's being felt in the Kaioshin Realm enough to be commented on beyond just sensing it.

Visual acuity, basically the resolution of the naked eye, can perceive upwards of shit as small as 0.02 degrees and perceive it as its own distinct object without them all blurring the fuck together.

Now, there's a couple ways to treat that. A Geostationary Orbit seems to be the most simplified means of accounting for this.

Son Goku's Super Genki-dama

The Feat

I already did the leg work for this above with SSJ3 Goku's Ki Expansion Feat into the Kaioshin Realm.

Just this time it's only the high end alone for the time frame as that's pretty much the most you can ask for a Base Vegeta to squeeze out of distracting Kid Buu when his SSJ2 form struggled to accomplish the same.

Also worth noting Goku hoovered ki from all over the universe apparently per Super's opening narration in both the anime and manga?


That said, I'm not going to use that on account that it's the population of Earth that are being the stubborn hold outs, not the rest of the universe to my knowledge.

Can't really think of anything else super notable to gauge for Majin Buu's Arc. Bullet catching for Super Saiyan Gohan is a neat bit feat, but a bit feat it is. Super Saiyan 2 Son Goku and Majin Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta collapsing mountains/rock formations in the distance with their shock waves is nice, but not really easy to measure. Not really much to work with respective to SSJ3 Goku chucking Buu into that bay either. Super Buu's Jinrui Zetsumetsu Kōgeki lacks a meaningful time frame, though it was likely short given context. Super Buu's Revenge Death Bomber is a generic explosion with little to measure it with. Guess you have these feats for Mr. Satan?

SSJ3 one is a stretch since we don’t see the realm shaking like we did with Earth it was more that they were sensing it from the kaioshin realm which was outside the physical universe of U7
