I actually agree with a lot of what this guy is saying outside of the MHA comparison. The Gojo fight despite its dumb ending was mostly pretty neat, and the fight with everyone jumping Sukuna started solid before spiraling into the "he's still holding back" meme's

His rant about Yuta and his search for a hearing aid had me cracking up too

I think th problem is, since DEI/ESG is involved with X company how can you guarantee that certain character of certain race or sexuality isn't there to fill that quotas? If the company isn't doing DEI/ESG you can believe that they aren't just putting them there for it,but if a company is actively doing DEI/ESG shit why would you give them the benefit of doubt? Do these companies deserve the benefit of doubt? People gave so many tries again and again for companies just to be throw under the bus so of course they are going to be more polarized against content following a certain patern

No one is expecting it to be perfect, we're just expecting it to not be garbage which isn't a lot to ask. Nice strawman though.

Yu-Gi-Oh DM and GX both had solid storytelling throughout up to and including the ending.
Same for Digimon Adventure 01, Tamers, Frontier and Savers.

Sure none of them are PERFECT (because no story is) but the issues that they have are ultimately minor or not significant enough to ruin them and certainly not remotely on the level of what AoT shat out.

Attack on Titan’s ending was bad enough that a rewatch of the series now hurts to do with the ending in mind, between shit like the entire story being pointless and foregone and terrible reveals like Eren being the one responsible for his mom’s death
