I have finally watched the audio commentaries from the 4K movies (which had a release in 2024)! There is a good amount of it that I'm still unsure of, as some of the stuff is said jokingly (though one thing I thought was a joke and thus didn't bother taking photos I later looked into and turns out was mentioned in Final Drill), but there's some very interesting stuff in here...

In response to the rest of the crew saying that Spiral Power is a feeling, Nakashima (I think) says that Spiral Power is tied with the quantum mind hypothesis, in which the mind is connected with outerspace via quantum entanglement (I'm not sure if this is a joke or not, but it actually is pretty consistent with what we know about it, given Spiral Power does draw energy from galaxies in other dimensions).

Arc Gurren Lagann's Space-Time Shattering Burst Spinning Punch is said to contain the force of multiple universes.

After Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann drew the real Moon out of a pocket dimension, there were two moons around the Earth; thankfully, Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann was able to counter this as Spiral Power can do anything, and the gravitational force was shifted so that it spilt out into different dimensions and didn't mess up the Earth (this may be said jokingly, as there is lots of laughter accompanying this statement, and the main story of the show does have the 'Moon' exceeding the Roche Limit, something that's mentioned by Final Drill; at the same time though, it's more than possible for Super Galaxy/Cathedral Terra to have some kind of Roche canceller, and we do see artificial gravity on board the Super Galaxy, plus it has the ability to drag things across and travel between dimensions, so it's all worth keeping in mind).

This as far as I know is the only audio commentary from the creators with English subtitles. It is not, however, the only audio commentaries of Gurren Lagann (infact there are other Trigger series which may have some interesting commentaries such as Promare). Tracking them down and translating them will be trickier, but I've come this far, so why not keep drilling?
Is it possible that you could upload the commentary clips on YouTube like the DVD commentaries?

Some notes on LWA lore from a Trigger Night years ago. Magic in LWA is deeply linked with trees, as Yggdrasil the cosmic tree is the source of magic; thus, witches live much longer lifespans than regular humans, as the more magic they use, the more tree-like they become. Infact, very powerful witches are destined to become trees due to all the power they've taken from Yggdrasil; this explains why Woodward is merging with Yggdrasil and Beatrice is a tree when we see her. The Jennifer Memorial Tree is Jennifer herself, and the Cavendish state is filled with trees that were once Cavendish witches, with the larges of these trees being past family heads. Diana herself is destined to turn into a tree. The tree seen in episode 9 was Holbrooks mother, and Holbrook herself is 150 years old.

Magic in the world of LWA is deeply linked to trees; this due to Yggdrassil being the source of magic.

On the flipside, witches have much longer lifespans for the same reason: the more magic they use from Yggdrassil, the more tree-like they become and trees have longer lifespans than humans.

Very powerful witches with magic flowing through their bodies are destined to become trees due to all the power they drain from Yggdrassil. Woodward, Beatrix and many other witches with high magic potential became trees.

Jennifer Memorial is Jennifer herself turned into a tree.

The Cavendish State is filled with magical trees that were former Cavendish witches, the larger trees with the most magic power are the previous family heads.

Diana herself is destined to become a tree.

The tree that appeared in episode 9 was Holbrooke's mother

Holbrooke is over 150 years old.
This is actually consistant with what we see in The Nonsensical Witch in the Country of Fairies, where certain magical trees have powerful connections (with other worlds, forests, mountains, the cycle of life, death & rebirth and more).
“Doras Hill was discovered three hundred years ago. It’s said the coronation ceremony of the fairy king was held here, under the protection of the thirteen sacred trees.”
“They told me you’re the one who collects poisons, Sucy. Yeah, that’s right. And elderflowers neutralise poison, so it makes sense that you want some, Besides, the elderflower has the greatest power of them all, you know.”
“Really?” I asked.
Silfa nodded with the air of a teacher. “It’s a very important tree to us, presiding over death and rebirth and perfect for breaking curses.”
“Huh! Wow, Silfa. You’re really smart!”
“…Even if she’s guardian of the hill, you’re still getting schooled
Just then, Alan gasped audibly. “Come to think of it, Silfa said the first tree and the second tree, the rowan tree, were sisters.
“Sisters?”
“Yeah, that’s right. The white birch is the lady of the forest, and the town is the lady of the mountains. Since their respective months are right next to each other, they’re very close. Isn’t that right, Feoras.”
“Miss Kagari. Do you remember the characteristics of the twelve tree, the broom tree?”
Huh? Seriously? She’s testing me on homework at a time like this?!
But I combed through the depths of my mind, desperately trying to remember.
“I think, it was, um, that it links the human world with other worlds and brings with it a mystical peacefulness…or something like that.”
“That’s right. Well done.” Even in a situation like this, Professor Ursula smiled softly. “If used correctly, leaves from a broom tree can act as a medicine and as a healing power, But if misused, it’s just a drug, agitating the soul and even making you hallucinate.”

Not these ones sorry, as they're in HD (currently I can only upload DVD clips).
Do the director's mention anything worthwhile scaling wise for Pre-Timeskip and Post-Timeskip Gurren Lagann? As well as Arc Gurren Lagann (besides the Space Time Punch stuff)?

What about the heights of Simon, Kamina and everyone else?

Do they mention anything in relation to the 10th to 11 Dimensions stuff?

A lot of the stuff they said it was hard to tell if they were joking or serious (some of the stuff I thought was just a joke, so I didn't bother taking photos of, such as talk about Yoko being the reason Littner village had to evacuate, as it was hard to tell if they were being serious or not).

There's unfortunately barely any reference to the higher dimensions & cosmology (almost the entire Labyrinth sequence was talking about shounen hair), though they do reference that they are in the multiverse, and the scene where Simon awakens, they say they came up with lots of cool universes.

There's no reference to the heights of any of the characters, but they do mention that post-timeskip, everyone except Simon has the name of their home village as their last name.

Something I thought was a joke, but was actually referenced in Final Drill is that the two giant Muganns each control space & time respectively (I'm not sure if this actually made it into the final story or not though; I'll have to look back at Final Drill again).

Oh, that's a shame, tho the Shounen Hair thing is hilarious, was it in relation to Kamina?

Do you have access to the Light Novels then? Is there anything else in those that are worthwhile scaling wise? Besides the Imgur scans and what not that are already available.

Or what about the Work Soul and Final Drill guidebooks?

Yup. :skully

Yup I got the light novels (and Work Souls & Final Drill). They've got quite a bit in them, which are posted throughout this thread (and my other TTGL & Trigger threads). If there's anything in particular you'd like me to find or repost. just let me know please.

Would it be possible for you to post anything in the LN that mentions the 10 to 11D Stuff? Or just cosmology stuff in general besides the stuff everyone knows about?

Can you also post anything from the LN or guidebooks that expands on lesser known feats in the series? Like earlier in the thread, there was a screenshot about Enkidu being able to blow up a mountain, is there anything else like that?

Some height info would be nice as well if any are in there.

I'll see what I've already gotten uploaded for a start, and what else needs reuploading...

Most of the big stuff about dimensions (controlling & transcending them) I posted here.

The movie version of the story has the Anti-Spiral pocket dimension and the isolated universe be two different things (although in every other version of the story they are one and the same).

The Visaka control probability.

Simon in the Galactic Spiral Abyss generates energy akin to a universe being born in each of his cells.

An Ashtanga exploding shakes the isolated universe.

Spiral Power is drawn from spiral galaxies in other dimensions.

Some of the pre-timeskip stuff, with Enki's laser being able to wipe out mountains, and Gurren Lagann in the throne room being far about Enki.

I think I may or may not already know most of this, do you possibly have a collection/folder of scans from the LN and Guidebooks?

Or rather, would you be able to post the LN and Guidebooks online? Maybe I might be able to find something new.

A full collection of all the scans? I think others may have folders of them online, but I've not uploaded them all to one folder (I remember seeing folders by others, so I'll try to find those again).
yeah this sounds annoying but, i need the scan from Stocking going from heaven to the earth
This one?
