Who are the worst protagonists ever?

You know credit where credits due, ainz may be a terrible monster but he doesn't have the generic isekai design.. Heck even among skeletal isekai protags his fucked up proportions/skull makes him stand out.

Allright then it sounds like this is probably as dumb as I thought it was going off my limited understanding of cyberpunk 2077 (Played the game on launch....Was a....Experience, should really give it another chance soon), if their more powerful abilities/powers are that context specific. https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/great-tomb-of-nazarick-overlord-vs-night-city-cyberpunk-2077.1163442/

Does cyber punk have any really good hax/ap feats Im unware of? I never watched edge runners but the universe always seemed pretty grounded feat wise.

I mean if you go with some of the authors statments aren't most of the sword arts in demon slayer literally them just tripping balls...

Every once in a while im reminded that donald duck from kingdom hearts is one of the single most powerful final fantasy sorcerers and it kills me.

TBF this is reason to suspect overlords power would still work if you ripped them from their homeverse, mainly that is the backstory of new world, that it was corrupted by the nature of players who were using there powers to establish themselves as god kings. (Its why dragon lords consider them taint/polluters of the world, the world didn't used to have tiered magic/function off the gamey systems) It's all pointless semantics of course cause no vs debate assumes powers dissapear unless the op is specifically noting things to work that way. Like saying "Human ainz" or "Kirito outside the game" Saying that still one of my fav old threads where everyone pointed out ainz was a decrepit thirty year old man living in hell with fake lungs and eating nutrient paste while kirito was a somewhat healthy teenager.

Since when and why? Im honestly curious like I said jumped after a couple hours of grinding so Im really out of touch but the whole verse felt really low stakes.

Is genshin impact really that crazy? I only played a couple hours but I never saw anything that seemed impressive. while I agree ainz gets his teeth kicked in by sora/donald/goofy (zeta flare still makes donald the single greatest mage in final fantasy) Lets not pretend he wouldn't have some epic battle for the sake of spectacle. He had an epic boss battle with fucking clayton, Im 99% sure kingdom hearts bases the length of the boss fight off how cool they think the enemy looks.

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 4 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Been playing baldurs gate so overlord fact time In overlord there is an incredibly similar looking species to mind flayers. They have the tentacles, razor teeth mouth hidden by tentacles etc . They're referred to as brain eaters in overlord and of course they eat brains. They reproduce by injecting their eggs into a host brain. The eggs hatch and devour the brain over time while secreting a solution that allows them to puppeteer the body in a zombie like fashion. Eventually when the brain eater nematodes reaches the size of a brain it melts the skulls and emerges. From there it requires the protection of it's parents until it reaches maturity as it's only the size of a regular brain. Though they're not totally defenseless, the author notes in absence of it's parents they'll cling to high areas and drop down to pierce creatures skulls and devour the brain within. Saying that the authors wording makes it seem like there might be some other ways to produce brain eater children...

Eh it says it can destroy a country over a certain level/amount. I don't know what exactly he was using it for but I don't think it was to destroy a country, so he obviously didn't use that much. Also heavenly gold uranuim doesn't mean anything. My only guess is it's a mistranslation/misunderstanding of the word "Enriched" That or its trying to refrence a specific form of uranium the author didn't know the name of. The description also makes it sound like he couldn't survive the explosion either making it's useability in a fight limited if he doesn't want to kill himself.

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 4 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

This seems...stupid. Contessa/clairvoiyants powers are restricted from working on level 100's (I suppose thered have to be a discussion about divination defenses if they did but that's neither her nor there) Like short of grabbing a bomb from their home world and nuking the planet Im not really sure what they're meant to do. The authors already stated all of new world vs nazarick isn't a winnable battle, and contessa/clairvoyant aren't adding much when there powers don't work on lvl 100's (They won't even be able to preceive several of the dragon lords/heavy hitters by the ops ruling). Door maker is the only one that might be useful but the tomb is entirely warded against teleportation and his friends aren't even able to tell the tomb exist.

I generally hate dnd debates, cause every time it feels like they wind up arguing raw/rules/mechanics rather then straight forward feats. Now I think a lot of that comes down to some bad faith arging but I just never have the energy to much more then glance at them.

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 4 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Scaling gargantua is weird, it has the highest physical stats amongst the guardians but due to it's lack sapience/intellect it's also considered the easiest to beat among them. This gets even weirder when you consider how intellect would affect characters in game...Like none of the npcs had an sapience/all functioned off programming so why did lacking intellect affect it's combat rating there? As with everything in overlord when you get to high tiers you reach this weird area where nobody can one shot each other/everyone starts scaling to each other. Ainz is able to cast in between being hit by high tier warriors/isn't overwhelmed even when he gets into melee as a pure mage. Shalltear is strong enough to casually bat aside hits from a raid boss ect.] I suspect a lot of this id due to overlords literal interpretation of health mechanics meaning even if your taking huge damage you can just keep attacking/fighting but it also means it's really hard to measure how much damage...

One thing I find funny on space battles, is the user lost paragon, he hates overlord so much he's written a massive fic just so he can have konosuba characters and mha characters destroy nazarick. But his hatred means he hasn't read/touched overlord properly in years thus he just gets shit wrong/doesn't know what he's talking about anytime nazarick denizens, items or mechanics are present in the story. (He thinks ainz gave shalltear her dress/seems to think ainz was involved in her creation and seems to think the book of the dead is a world class item that required evil karma to use) Im honestly jealous in some ways, I wish I had that much sheer creative spite to write for four years to fulfill my revenge fantasies against characters that don't exist and can't even properly remember.

I wish they put overlord on the list, the varieties of death hax and death hax immunities in overlord would make harry potter shit itself. (Along side the number of resistance abilities/immunities)

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 4 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Im working on the respect thread but funny note going through the novels I always forget. Ainz original world had helemts for going online that recorded essentially everything you did. This was considered a necessary safety feature as you connected to computers via a neural implant (ainz literally has a port in the back of his neck he hooks into his computer) . Meaning hackers wouldn't try to hack your information, they will literally hack your body and use it to commit crimes. So the helmet was a sort of defense since they could tell exactly what you were doing while your body was used as a puppet to commit crimes.

Correction twelve people my bad From overlord volume 1 page 27: The four-colored crystal lamps on the ceiling were a type of monster, and the moment an enemy entered their range, they would summon high-ranking elementals of earth, water, wind, and fire, in addition to bombarding them with area-of-effect attack magic. If these crystal lamps all attacked at once, the firepower they unleashed could easily defeat two parties of level one hundred Players, which would be roughly twelve people.

Yeah what I figured I imagine if they had realistic values vs player damage a lot of dungeon masters would get really annoyed, really fast

Isn't the only reason stone/structures are that tough in the first place so players don't just break through walls/ignore dungeons?

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 4 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Fair I never made such a claim. I mean I thought you figured this out when I pulled the statement of the author explicitly stating the entirety of the world could turn against them and still couldn't win. Or the fact the tomb stomped a group of 1500 entities on ainz level. Or when you heard they had several chandeliers that could wipe 20 level 100 players.
