You can't ONLY give a character significance AFTER their death and have it come across as anything but forced.

It's funny how it was an unusual inverse of their normal personalities. Goku was thinking practically about what was needed to defeat Cell and had absolute faith in his son. Piccolo was thinking emotionally and could only see Gohan getting beaten up and not the potential benefits. Friendly reminder that Goku was proven right by the end of that. :maybe Even Piccolo seems to acknowledge that given the shit he pulled in Super Hero, straight up letting him believe Pan was in danger (and reminder that she did legitimately end up in real danger as a result) just to get him off his ass.

TFW you commit to watching a specific series then, while you're taking a break from it, you stumble onto a scene from a later episode in another series that you really need to get caught up on. Like DAMN! This shit's epic! Not even just because of the animation or the music (which is very good, the classic OP playing gave me chills) but just because Luffy continues to be Luffy. :awesome Completely ignoring two top tiers to check up on his friend, not even letting Kin'emon get the please out before saying he'll help 'cause it's his friend's country AND making sure to put Kaido on his fucking ass before giving him what he wanted and saying his usual line. Scenes like this are why I'm always gonna like this character, regardless of how little development he gets.

Well I see at least one Ryuken scene that wasn't there before, that's something at least. Everything else looks about the same so I'll keep my expectations low.

Just watched DB Super Hero It was a good show, I enjoyed it. Wasn't keen on the kaiju-fication of Cell but hey, at least he had an excuse when he enraged Gohan this time and didn't do it on purpose. Still would have preferred 2d animation, even though the fights were clean, and | would have liked Videl to get involved so we could have a scene where she gets hurt and Pan goes ham ala Gohan vs Raditz. But overall it was good fun I don't have many complaints.

Should have showed them original "funny talking lions" and saved yourself the trouble of watching the inferior version. :mjpls

I've seen a couple. I enjoyed the Cinderella one, it's probably the only one I think is actually an improvement on the original. Jungle Book was meh, but at least they were actually trying something different with the story that wasn't just "get woke". Beauty and the Beast was pretty bad and Maleficent was downright terrible. I haven't even touched Lion King, Aladdin or Mulan and I don't really intend to. Sort of stopped watching Disney content in general, the only reason I saw Encanto was because I was staying over at a cousin's house and she wanted me to watch it.

At least the woman can actually sing, we don't have another Emma Watson situation on our hands. I just wish THAT (and general acting ability) were the reasons she was picked for the role and not solely because of the color of her skin. Oh well, I probably wont end up watching the movie anyway. I'll just stick with the original and its sequel, which I watched again just recently and honestly enjoyed it more than I remembered (definitely one of the better disney sequels IMO).

Yep definitely shit. Champions should have Pokemon all from their region, on top of having multiple types on their team. Well not many DRAGON types, given he was supposed to be the Dragon type master. Something you really shouldn't do when Kanto and Johto only have ONE actual Dragon type between them. There were enough Pokemon in both regions in general, they just picked a weird type for him to specialize in. But this is the same company who made a Fire Type Elite Four member, in a region with only TWO fire types in the whole game. 🤦‍♂️

Their thinking was they'd arbitrarily decided Galar would be the "Strong Region" and so they have to push it's champion to high heaven. At least he's not a Mono-Type Champion. They really should have had Gary come out of retirement and become champion of Kanto (instead of having Lance be champion of both it and Johto) so he could participate and the final match could be between him and Ash.

God damn sitting here trying to wrap my head around 02 power-scaling. 🤦‍♂️ Shit's awkward enough when all I had to keep in mind was that the protagonist' Digimon got stronger throughout the series. Now throw in "these ones also hold back a lot of the time". I mean they went from needing two attacks just to knock out Meramon (ones that haven't absorbed a ton of energy like the one in 01 did mind you) to Holsmon making MetalGreymon rear back in agony from one attack TWO EPISODES LATER. Normally that would just be a good look for Meramon but they specifically make a huge deal about them having to "go all out" against MetalGreymon, as if they hadn't been before that point which obviously present a massive headache from a power-scaling perspective. At least the vindication is nice as someone on FV once tried to call me a liar for saying the Armors were hurting MetalGreymon, which yep they blatantly did. He even specifically made a point of DODGING all the attacks he could. :maybe
