    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

Polnareff just needs to instruct the Stand on where to swing, likely as he’s kicking dirt in the guys eyes, and it does the rest on its own. It’s a speed feat for Silver Chariot. We’ve seen numerous times Stands defend their users from things they themselves can’t react to from Part 3 alone

That’s overthinking context never even implied at any point. Occam’s razor backed by Polnareff saying Hanged Man is impossible for hims to perceive and the entire fight being about limiting his movement to a single path to be able to know where to hit him for this reason all go to Polnareff not able to perceive him

Somethings up when they don’t notice him moving around them even as he’s conversing with them precisely because they have no way of knowing what surface he’ll be on

That’s obvious. What I was arguing with that scan wasnt a question of reaction speed, but proof they couldn’t even perceive him even when he’s moving right around them

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

That much is true. You can clearly see from the order of panels that Silver Chariot cut through Hanged Man after it left the guys eye and before it could reach the coin in the air. Literally cut a beam of light faster than it could travel to a coin in other words

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

I’d just be repeating what’s already mentioned here. And based on the reactions between my posts and those I’ve argued with, yeah it’s a waste of time. I never go into debates to change peoples minds anyway, just to argue my points.

Gee look at all those freebies J’Geil was giving a guy who can see and react to his movement, Oh wait…also Polnareff. “He moves at the speed of light. No one can see that fast.”

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

Just repeating what I already addressed. He doesn’t need to time it. Just know where to attack for his FTL Stand to do the rest My source? The entire fight where Polnareff literally can’t see Hanged Man travel

He knew where it was. In the man’s eye that he just kicked dirt into. An FTL Stand that knows the direction to swing handles the rest. It’s not a debate with Araki’s own words both with what Polnareff had to do to hit Hanger Man which made no sense if he really can see and react to it and the words straight out of Polnareff’s mouth: Polnareff: “Normally, I’d have no way of hitting it.” Or “He’s moves at light speed. That’s faster than any person can see.” Depending on the translation. And finally, the last scan I posted of Polnareff standing as a literal deer in headlights unable to track Hanged Man among a crowd even when said beam he can supposedly track is just inches next to him as it circles around him. KEK

No he wouldn’t because he said it himself he can’t see it, just knowing the line it would travel to while having a Stand that can swing its sword faster than light. He literally just needs to attack right as the man closed his eyes. If he could see the light, Hanged Man would never have been a problem for him

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

Reflection of Silver Chariot’s speed, which I never disputed was FTL. All Polnareff had to do was give SC the command to attack in the straight line between the man’s eyes as they close and the upwards coin and it did the rest.

Rohan’s just a freak. He can react to Crazy Diamond for the same reason he can keep up with reality around him speeding up to infinity with just his own speed to keep up manga deadlines. He just does. Lol For Vanilla Ice, he is also a superhuman vampire

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

So in other words. The entire fight with them figuring out a way to narrow down Hanged Man to one path and knowing said path was just them playing make-believe against an opponent they could beat at any time. Hanged Man had basically no advantages against a guy who both has a Stand fast enough to cut light midway of traveling AND can see where he’s moving from the start. Really can’t believe anyone would still say that after this particular panel I already posted of Hanged Man dancing circles around both Polnareff and Kakyoin and them unable to do anything because they can’t keep up with him and don’t know where he will move to even when he’s just inches next to them. Why are you even treating the anime as taking precedence over Araki’s own original work? Anime has Kars confirmed to have aim-dodged Stronheim’s UV beam too.

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

I always just took it as him seeing the flash after it had already moved i.e. seeing light after its already reached your eyes. Regardless, he had to set things up so that he knew that path it would travel ahead of time for Silver Chariot to cut it because he says he can’t see it. Not exactly something he would bother doing if he could. The entire fight of Hanged Man was setting things up so the beam of light it is could only travel one path in order to beat it. That’s the only way how Polarneff was able to get him the two times he tagged him. Silver Chariot is FTL but limited by Polnareff’s kinetic vision and there are a few characters FTL on their own like Kars, Joseph, and Rohan but Polnareff himself isn’t since the whole fight with Hanged Man wouldn’t make sense otherwise. His Stand is more than fast enough to tag it as it’s moving and he wouldn’t need to waste time controlling and predicting where the beam travels if he really could see and know anyway.

He actually can’t. Hence why he needed to know the direction Hanged Man was going and attack accordingly. Silver Chariot is able to strike faster than light can travel though

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

I did. The Toon Force and Concepts argument easily fall under NLF and I went further with my issue with the Concepts argument with the example of Bleach’s Soul King being compared to characters far stronger just because he made life and death happen. Explained the next one about using hyperbole well enough as well as the opposite extreme of disregarding something as hyperbole even if it includes feats. Hypocrisy and double standards speaks for itself and needs no explanation

    Misconceptions about VS. Debating

I think Toon Force can be overrated especially when their argued for characters that don’t qualify like Saitama Arguing Muh Concepts like it’s a be-all, end-all to any argument because a character controls concepts or is conceptual is also pretty wank. Ex. Bleach’s Soul King created the concepts of life and death, so he’s a conceptual existence on the level of DC’s Death of the Endless. Taking flowery descriptions that are blatant hyperbole literally to argue as feats for something BUT at the same time going the opposite extreme and denouncing anything presented as just flowery writing and hyperbole to ignore it when there’s clear feats involved. General hypocrisy and double standards when arguing one series in favor of another. These are my biggest pet peeves in Vs Debates
