All the Signers have gotten new upgrades for the Dragons except Ruka Yusei’s got several including Stardust Warrior, Shooting Majestic Star Dragon and third new Quasar clone Jack Atlas got Red Supernova Dragon Crow’s got Black-Winged Assault Dragon Lua’s got Power Tool Braver Dragon And Ancient Fairy Dragon gets an errata to nerf it :hestonpls

As an Altergeist player, I can tell you VRAINs’ Emma Basho is also a constant jobber, either not having key cards in her deck against against both Playmaker and Revolver at the time like Multifaker or Hexstia or just straight up not playing her deck correctly. She could have easily ruined Appliancer boy’s strategy if she just sat on a couple backrow disruption and Silquitous alone instead of going for LOL Link 4 first turn with Altergeists

For double the irony, both used by the only 2 females among the Signers when you consider Yugiohs track record of female characters underperforming compared to males. Ancient Fairy has yet to get her power-up since she just came back. We did get a Level 9 upgrade for Black Rose Dragon though as well as Akiza Legacy support

I think Black Rose once got Limited? It was always a great card for being a generic Level 7 Synchro that nuked the entire board on summon. Ancient Fairy Dragon for the longest time was fairly unremarkable among the Signer Dragons. First ever use I saw of it was in Dragon Ruler (well after 5Ds and around the end of Zexal) to resolve 2 Dragon Ravine’s in one turn + plus being Level 7 for Rank 7 Xyz summons and a Dragon to later banish from grave to summon a Ruler. That all changed as Konami made increasingly overpowered Field Spells and than made Destrudo, a generic Tuner that made it so any deck could make Level 7 Synchros with. Those combined led to Ancient Fairy’s ban and than errata to where it now only searched Field Spells with a different name than any of the ones you destroyed on field with its effect

Firewall Dragon, Yusaku’s initial 2500 ATK ace card, was so broken it got limited and than banned, only brought back with an errata. The only other protagonist card that even comes close to as meta-defining as Firewall Dragon was Yusei’s Stardust Dragon and even than, Stardust never got bad to the point of needing any sort of hit

You’ll like Vrains. The first two major archetypes, Gouki and Trickstar were Tier 1 decks for over a year and Trickstar even needed to get hit on the banlist. Altergeists was another deck that dipped between Tier 1 and 2 depending on the format and as you can tell by me, are still a strong deck in 2023 if used well. Salamangreats were one of the best decks in 2018-2019 and likely to get new support in the upcoming Duelist Pack. Code Talker, Marincess, Rokket (Dragon Link), Sunvine/Sunavalon, @Ignister, etc. All competitive, if not outright Tier 1 decks at some point.

Ostinato is slow. 1st Movement is great but requires you to be going second which hurts

You do have an easy answer. Blue Eyes Jet Dragon go brrr. Easily spin her back to deck with its effect and while it’s on the field the rest of your monsters can’t be destroyed by her destruction effect

It’s not Marincess. They have no Fusions, only Link Monsters. It’s this card. Yup, completely destruction proof and effectively runs over any Special Summoned monster that isn’t destruction immune too. Got to either neg her effect or spin back to deck / banish her

Just liked how he dropped that Maxx C before leaving as a quick metaphorical “Fuck You” before leaving. When you say negs special summoned monsters. Do you mean negs their summon like Solemn or their effect? Trying to think which monster that is that has all that. What type of monster was it? Main deck or a type of Extra Deck?

One thing I’ll agree with Garth Ennis on, American comics need to expand and do other things beyond the superhero genre which is hard right now with how DC and Marvel make up most of the industry

@Masterblack06 @DestinyDestroyer Playing against Sky Striker on MD going second. Opened Evenly Matched and use it. Dude chains Cosmic Cyclone to it. Accomplishes nothing in stopping it of course so the guy burns 1k for nothing but that’s not the worst of it. Because of the way chain links work in Yugioh, Cosmic resolves first, banishing and removing Evenly on the field, meaning when Evenly Matched resolves, I’ll have nothing on my field at resolution. So this dude now had to banish his entire field face-down rather than being able to keep one card of their choice such as the field spell, the Sky Striker Link, or even one of his backrow if it was good enough. And they burned 1k Life points too. All just to banish my Evenly over it going to grave. Way to play themselves. Just because MD gives you a prompt letting you know you can chain something doesn’t mean you should go for it every time :hestonpls

Not depleted, just Tori and Toyo not doing enough with the frankly loads of potential ideas that can be thought up between Heroes and what Super already established. Still waiting to see them make use of Demons like Heroes and Xenoverse have

For this event, you can play Dark Magician at full power with all their toys over the years. Still beat two of them in a row with my hugely handicapped Altergeists. Guess this proves the superior Spellcaster deck :hestonpls
