More like, it went from it being argued Madara picking up Sage Mode being an asspull to arguing the explained means he did being argued the asspull once the former was no longer the case.

Ends up being more a Kabuto asspull than Madara’s anyway. Way I see an asspull, it’s something happening without any foreshadowing or explaination to it prior, especially when it’s thrown in to get the character out of a losing situation I.e. every fight Sukuna has won recently

What rules? They’re literal clones with all the physical and genetic requirements as the original to replicate the jutsu and the intelligence to match while just being soulless puppets since having a will of their own would get in the way. Basically Orochimaru’s end game that Kabuto succeeded in: biological weapons made by a guy who wants to possess every jutsu while having no regard for any human rights

The logic is one thing, I’m just saying it’s not an ass pull since we’ve known for a fact that clones Kabuto makes have the capacity to replicate the jutsus of the originals for a while now, hence not an asspull

No I don’t. And to bring up that example of Jiraiya with Itachi’s eyes letting him do every technique day 1 related to Sharingan your saying is what Madara did, think instead Jiraiya having an Itachi clone grafted on to him designed by a scientist to perfectly replicate all the jutsu the original Itachi did to perform on Jiraiya’s behalf instead

Because he’s not doing it on his own, Kabuto literally made him a composite of both himself and Hashirama I.e. whatever Hashirama techniques Madara is doing, it’s actually the clone on him doing it for him. This was established further with Kabuto himself using all the jutsu of the Sound 5 he didn’t know with the clones of them attached to him doing so. To nip this for good, we clearly see the Hashirama clone is the one making use of Sage Mode. You guys want to talk ass pull? Because I’m surprised no one’s talking about the time Madara really did the impossible of casting Susano with no freaking eyes.

If you already have clones pulling off Kekkai Genkai jutsu, which is still jutsu in the end, why stop there? Make them able to do any of the technqiues of the original

Because Kabuto’s whole thing.(and Orochimaru’s) was to cheat their way into having and possessing all jutsu through modifying their bodies Yamato was specifically Orochimaru’s first successful lab rat in implanting bloodline jutsu into others. Forget being a proficient as Hashirama, he’s considered a success for being able to live through the experiments Kabuto basically perfected this by being able to grow clones and implant them on himself or others to perform whatever jutsu the clone uses from the original

The whole history between Hashirama and Madara is basically Romeo and Juliet So yeah

To be fair, Kabuto was the one who put that Hashirama clone head on Madara’s chest using the same body modifications he did on himself to have clones of the Sound 5 growing out of himself if I recall The clone attached to him lets him use all of Hashirama’s techniques he otherwise couldnt like Sage Mode and Wood style so this surprisingly was the few times where it wasn’t an ass pull

Shit even with my next to 0 knowledge about Makima or Blackbeard, their both probably still better than Yhwach. Biggest problem with Yhwach in my opinion is that he barely feels like a character He’s lacking in personality, his goals are poorly explained, he’s a massive hypocrite towards his own ideals where he seems to vaguely want what he thinks is for the greater good while being a total scumbag all the way through for literally no reason that even his own army has enough of it. Compare that to Sukuna whose a dick and makes no attempt to hide it but make it his defining trait. And while not too related to his poor quality as a villain, his powers are also just as poorly explained and frankly, boring. Madara and Sukuna, despite suffering similar pitfalls, at least feel like actual characters the story more then fleshes out so we understand them, their goals, what they want or look for, etc.

Father was an excellent final villain who really nailed his grand evil plan that was both well executed to the story and played out while not being overly convoluted or full of holes. Only complaint was how it was a tad too easily beat by Hoehenheim’s Deus ex Machina counter Main problem with him is how he’s overshadowed to all the other memorable villains Hiromu thought up like Fuhrer Bradley and Kimblee that were both more involved in the story, better fleshed out, etc Don’t know Makima or Blackbeard enough to comment Ranking for me: 1. Frieza (The gold standard for how to make a villain that’s epic in every sense of the word) 2. Meruem (holy fuck did Chimera Ant arc in general mess me up) 3. Madara (talk all the shit you want about him, dude had tons of buildup and hype before being properly introduced and lived up to all of it gloriously) 4. Father 5. Sukuna (insufferable as he is, I do like how he manages to be both the MC at this point and the main villain at the same...
