Considering the Elden Beast makes that sword from Radagon/Marika, I think the god mentioned in that script refers to them instead of the Beast itself. That said, I agree that Marika is playing her own game. I'm of the opinion it's because she found something about the Outer Gods that she wasn't supposed to, though. She says she intends to probe the depths of the Order for truth, and immediately after that shit starts going sideways.

It's not like they couldnt have played his depression more seriously in Endgame either. His ever present fat joke was so stupid compared to how they dealt with Tony and Steve. Could have just had him retreat into himself and be carving statues of the fallen or some shit, or had him want to stay in the past before everything went to shit. Or could have had him become obsessively protective of the Asgardians to the point he wouldn't work with the others at first, though that might have conflicted with Tony's thing.

Well yeah, that's the point. They're deliberately obfuscating that part to keep it ambiguous. I imagine that regardless of what else we find out about the series the Marika/Radagon situation will remain up for interpretation.

There's some dialogue from Malenia (one of her "in Marika's own words" segments) that implies Marika and Radagon were not always the same being, so it's entirely possible he got fused to her somehow as a kind of restraining bolt.

Because the guy in charge of it is capable of pattern recognition, noticed Chaldea murdered it's way through like six world ending threats, wisely decided "hey I should actually prep for them", and worked with the gods in the Lostbelt to prepare for their arrival. And by prepare i mean they immediately shot Chaldea with an orbital laser cannon as soon as they peeked their heads out and sent an entire navy to hunt down everyone who survived. So LB 5.1 is basically just Chaldea desperately trying to get its foot in the door so they can actually go after the stupid tree thing they came to kill. :skully
