Good grief. I kinda ran into a similar situation with a dragonball crossover fanfic I recently found, with Beerus as the protag. Author, in my opinion, is doing a decent enough job with what they chose to go with in terms of power-levels and writing(though the latter even he'll admit is in need of improvement in some areas), and while the reviews and such are generally positive and helpful when they decide to critique, I've also seen the typical sort in the reviews, and he's apparently getting PMs as well, from DB fanboys not happy about how he's handling the power-scale. Most of them thinking Beerus should just ROFL-stomp the verse, which I find to be highly debatable, given the verse in question and even more so with the context. One recent guy even had the gall to suggest Beerus should have no problem with them, and proceeded to use VSBW terminology with high universe level and suggesting that CELL was already at that level, and Beerus was far above him.
