Imagine thinking AOE (in Bleach of all things) is anywhere near consistent enough to use for the purposes of scaling characters in-universe?

The sheer fact Fake Karakura Town isn't reduced to so much rubble in the first few seconds of any Captain level fighter, fighting remotely seriously eliminates this as an option. But you know, they gotta pretend "Ulquiorra make big boom" is on its own enough to say he's the strongest Espada, 'cause he sure as fuck doesn't have anything else to suggest he not only closed the massive power gap between him and Stark but exceeded it.

But oh yeah H2 Ichigo is half of what makes Dangai Ichigo and what lets Ichigo sense Aizen after he became transcendent. So Ulquiorra's CO matching his Cero and non-existant durability feats (he tanks NOTHING against him but these idiots pretend he does to wank the fuck out of him) make him OP as fuck. Ignoring the fact H2 doesn't have any feats to suggest he's on that level, nor is his reiatsu noted to be imperceptible.

And of course we also gotta pretend basically any Soul Reaper Aizen, Exiled Captain level fighter and above couldn't replicate Kenpachi's feat against Gremmy's meteor, despite them all taking on way stronger individuals. But of course the Elites aren't necessarily stronger than Gremmy, Mustache just saved them for last and took them to the palace with him for the fuck of it. ha

Scaling by AOE alone in Bleach DOES NOT WORK at all.

So fucking what? This really doesn't mean what these idiots think it means.

Harribel is ranked #3, on those grounds alone, the only Espada who are arguably faster than her, are those ranked above her and those who specialize in speed (aka only Zommari). But of course they have to list Ulquiorra because he has "good speed feats" and power-scaling is a myth.

Which merely means his MOVEMENT speed is relatively low among Captains. It says nothing for his attack speed, which straight up BLITZED Luppi by these guys standards, it's a wonder they don't talk about that. OR his reaction speed, which can deal with Harribel. Hitsugaya is a ranged elemental fighter, he's not the high-movement speed type, but that doesn't mean he's getting blitzed by everyon and their mothers, especially when his reaction speed is shown to be exemplary.

But these guys are desperate to downplay Hitsugaya, so not blitzing him has become this mythical low end for Harribel that somehow makes her look bad, as opposed to making Hitsugaya look good.

Full power Tosen was casually above grimjow who schooled Ichigo twice iirc. Shikai Ichigo stalemated Kenpachi... and that same Kenpachi made tosen shit himself

I mean Tousen wasn't dead after he fought Kenpachi since he was still able to move around afterwards and it wasn't even a long period either considering Kenpachi and Komomura's battle didn't go on for too long and he still had to make it to Sokokyu Hill and even cast that Kido Spell

I think alot of people fail to understand Tousen wasn't weak, Kenpachi just had bullshit to get him to win.
This was before he got Hollowfied at that too.

Seriously. Marvel is especially bad when it comes to this because it wants to have it's cake and eat it too. I.e., Thor can fly around the universe at superluminal velocity and not overshoot his destination by several AU or face plant directly into the planet, as well as throw his hammer at multiple times the speed of light, as well as blitz quicksilver when his lightning failed to tag, as well as be tagged and even caught off guard by wolverine's speed. Or really any street leveler when an author wants to call Cap faster than Thor. Or have Spider-Man dance around him. And then one issue later have him fight toe to toe with Gladiator, Mr "I can blitz heimdall from outside of his visual range in the time it takes him to blink"...

But Wolverine is just too swift for him to keep up somehow. Okay marvel. No. They just want the street levelers to not be statued by the big guns flying around the universe at FTL speeds. DC does this too, but Marvel in particular loves to depict everyone fighting at basically the same speed with minor differences like, all the Goddamn time.

This is why I frown upon using downplay seriously in VS. Battles or having them "rule the roost" alongside Inconsistencies. One Punch Man is EQUALLY marred by inconsistencies(Saitama can't kill a mosquito despite using more than enough force to atomize it or have scratch marks by being cut by a cat, the many times Garou can be reacted or seen despite moving at high speeds which wouldn't be possible) yet they never take it to this degree and pretend other feats should cease to matter because of them.
Like it would be understandable if the inconsistencies actually DID outweigh feats and thus discount them... but they never do this to the series they love repping despite pretending they use the very same brush on both sides.

I primarily see through Bleach and the Nasuverse and it's AMAZING how people will take former more seriously than the latter despite the latter having more backing to it's feats than the other(The Nasuverse Earth gets Large Planetary+ Scaling precisely from the Grail Mud, that which created on it's surface "Textures" literal other Worlds that have their own Reality to the point of even having some level of deep space and even other Worlds, Afterlife and Hell equivalents which can even expand off the Planet and impose it's ruling to the Moon itself... atleast the Human Order does which is part of it... Bleach literally gets by on calcs most of the time as it's AOEs are absolute dogshit as @Adamant soul can attest to) because... it doesn't "demonstrate" it's feats most of the time... which is not the litmus test you do for these feats because of things like animation limitations and authors not constantly aiming towards that at the failure of their stories.

It's a longwinded rant to get to the very obvious truth: Spacebattles seriously need to read some damn Comic Book because I could fart and hit more times Hulk reacted to people far faster than him on "average" and thus, he scales to them than the amount of times Garou "consistently" went "FTL"(even when that's just a guess at best and the highest end interpretation of his feat).

Basically. I can 100% see people not going through the decades of lore for American Comic Book Characters... but for fuck's sake, I basically got only short hand info of Comic Book Characters and it's not even hard to see where most of them stand at.
Normal Hulk would body Garou something fierce, World War Hulk would basically make him cease to exist by the latter punching him.

Basically. We use "Low-Ends" and "High-Ends" explicitly to define an actual middle point and for a feat in question and where a character should stand at. SB uses it to downplay any series they don't like and try and disguise as "the low end makes more sense" when in most accounts, it really doesn't.

They really, really shouldn't. It should be obvious that there aren't that many series I'm versed in when it comes to Comics... so I refuse to say shit and stay out unless it's a feat that I know that some never brought up or people doing downplaying nonsense and having no clue what they are talking about. As otherwise, I just shut the hell up, especially when it comes to other series like say Breath of Fire or me when it also comes to Dead or Alive/Ninja Gaiden but not Ni-Oh(which is more due to not reading up on it lol).
