Sillier than To Aru scaling even?oh cant forget the fact that universes literally are balanced upon Cybertron and if someone manages to destroy a cybertron iteration it does so much damage to the fabric of reality that omniversal things get sucked in and universes start fusing together to try and fix the problem
transformers powerscaling is stupid as hell lmao
Emiya Shirou (Fate) vs Midoriya Izuku (Boku no Hero Academia)
Ah the type of debate of Taking feats of someone on their strongest showed in the series vs feats of someone who just only able to know what he can and can't, and that only a fraction of the full extend Typical fanboy debaterforums.spacebattles.com
Pot meet kettle.

You know I've been trying to find this mythical Transformers RT you made. 8 pages in MB and can't find it.profoundly dumber
Transformers is a series of constant retcons completely recontextualizing fiction from decades ago and inflating it to stupidly strong levels by accident, I don't think hardly any of the writers had any clue what they were doing considering some of the earlier feats were presented as universal and ended up getting fleshed out to be hilariously beyond that
Is it like Kamachi saying that there is only one universe, but then a few years later saying that there is an infinite multiverse (an infinite number of infinite multiverse)?profoundly dumber

You just didn't get what he meant by that smh.Is it like Kamachi saying that there is only one universe, but then a few years later saying that there is an infinite multiverse (an infinite number of infinite multiverse)?
TES not only has infinite alternate versions of every realm created all the time (should the ruler of said realm wish it to be so), but also infinite levels going up (and possibly also down, going by Clockwork City), each level very explicitly infinitely greater than the last.
@Stocking Anarchy, @Derpmaster9000 How multiversal is TES? In Chinese myths, the Trichiliocosm should be considered part of the heavens.
Which is a structure of thousands to billions of universes. So it might scale to Wukong.

You sure it exists?
god the fucking ego of that place is what gets me lolDoes Spacebattles downplay more?

Get your head out of your ass, dude.
Does Spacebattles downplay more?
So browsing the versus threads, one thing I noticed is that people on Spacebattles tend to go for the lower option on power more often than not. What do you think?forums.spacebattles.com
Imagine thinking SB's nitpicks & downplay is a valiant virtue

Sb doesn't lowball so much as is it has a culture of debate and scaling which is alien to many other modern homes of vs debating. Sb descends from the old school and got much of its DNA from the Star Trek vs Star Wars debates of yore. During that time, it was a much more mathematics heavy subject and calculations based on a character's feats and actions were both expected and produced regularly. More so than now, in fact. The people who became big names during this time then influenced future SB debaters and as such set a culture which has persisted to this very day.
Spacebattles today still demands more evidence for wild conclusions than most anywhere else on the net. Not as much as it used to which I personally think is good, but enough that it still tends to average lower on claims than other sites which aren't so rigorous. the VS battle wiki for instance is often denigrated here because of its tendency to leap to wild conclusions with very little evidence and scale characters far more highly than their situation or role would lead one to expect.
Honestly, between the two styles I prefer the Spacebattles one because is is more grounded and debatable. If wild conclusions are allowed it's very easy to end up spinning in circles with someone who refuses to either back down or provide any evidence beyond ''well, they did this once'' without any context or background. In order to accept a given character is a specific power level, Spacebattles requires that they actually make sense being that level. Not only that they have one or two feats which put them in the ballpark you want, but also that it is repeated and that it makes sense for them to have said abilities within their home setting.
Far too many characters are scaled based on outliers that never happen again, and I've seen people who on other sites have ben confidently declared to be city level have trouble with just a few armed guards that they really shouldn't if they truly were all of that.
Power doesn't exist in a vacuum. If you are trying to assign a character to a scale that they have never actually shown - no matter how much theoretically, they totally fit - you should put some thought as to why they never have that power in their home setting.
the hobby has changed in general, across all forums even us, and skewed towards higher interpretations (besides on SB)
but I think looking at it from the time I joined vs now, roughly 10 years ago (geez) we honestly were just kinda shit at evaluating things and lowballed the fuck out of everything to a fault
why did it take until a few years ago for multiversal TTGL to get accepted when that was in the original show from the beginning? And yet no forum was using that, Galo's research has ended up getting used on other forums and was a basis for VSB's ttgl pages lol
you can apply this to a lot of other series, I think our ability to evaluate a series as a whole, has improved quite bit
SB hasn't changed much since I was a teenager
