Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

That’s what a Magic God does

@Mr.OMG Cant find the specific scan, got the one of Magic Gods being able to change how reality works? I believe the scan included a math equation
You mean the volume 1 one maybe?
All living creatures would eventually die, an apple dropped from above would fall down, and 1+1=2. You would be able to take those kinds of natural and unchangeable rules of the world, destroy them, rewrite them, and create new ones. You could make 1+1=3, make an apple dropped from below fall up, and make all dead creatures eventually be revived.
Magicians called such a being a magic god.
Not the god of the demon world1, but a magician who had thoroughly mastered magic to the point of entering the domain of god.
A magic god.

Although the best example in ToAru of just ignoring how reality works is Live Adventures in Wonderland IMO.

@Irradiance Yup that’s what I’m looking for

And again, not saying this isn’t a stomp for Popeye, just that the arguments being used here aren’t it

Yeah but i dont think its on the same level as what popeye can do

At the same time we can’t just shut our brains off and treat Toon Force as this be-all, end-all argument against anything unless the feats prove it.

Beerus > Arale’s Toon Force for example
Theres not a soul with a functioning brain that thinks all toonforce is on the same level

tbh there shouldn't be any other argument than Popeye just pops touma in the face

IB has limits, Invisible Thing don't(Well they can still be overwhelmed and hit by someone with good luck). I think he's legit getting them confused, especially since Touma's fighting skills aren't all that great and Toonforce isn't something we qualify as something IB should power him up by like with Gungnir and Othinus.
Yes IB has limits... when dealing with attacks that aren't of a similar nature to something that's "one-and-done" like a punch would be.

And the IT never lost to anyone with good luck (??), it just got straight up overpowered in the 2/5 times it was used (the first time it was used against Fiamma in WW3, the second time against Othinus in NT8(?), the third time against High Priest in NT12(?), the fourth time against Aiwass in NT18(?), and the fifth time in NT22 where it took on the appearance of fish eggs, or at least that's what I believe that to be, it's up in the air as you can probably guess :mjlol ).

Saying Touma's fighting skills aren't all that great is a bit disingenuous, but w/e.
And Touma doesn't actually get powered up by IB, he's just straight up that physically capable.

Needless to say, he's simply gotten stronger over the course of the series even if he didn't necessarily go through something similar to a typical shonen training arc.

Like, Popeye still punches him into bloody chunks but this ain't it.

Disagree. Popeye no-selling reality getting erased by The Big Guy is no better than Imagine Breaker not being able to be directly affected by Othinus or even stronger gods than her who delete the universe like nothing

He still beats the shit out of Touma or turns him into a pincushion with one punch.

Hell Little Mac can beat Touma up, what chance does he stand against Popeye? Who doesn't even need Spinach to bend steel bars into pretzels.

He never disagreed about Popeye beating him up dude (regardless of IB), come on.

And given certain events, even this is up in the air.

Reading the rest of what I said helps.

You can just argue Popeye knocking Touma’s lights out from sheer difference in pure physical strength

There’s no denying Popeye doesn’t stomp anyway

And the IT never lost to anyone with good luck (??), it just got straight up overpowered in the 2/4 times it was used (the first time it was used against Fiamma in WW3, the second time against High Priest in NT12(?), the third time against Aiwass in NT18(?), and the fourth time in NT22 where it took on the appearance of fish eggs, or at least that's what I believe that to be, it's up in the air as you can probably guess :mjlol ).

Popeye doesn't use Magic, he uses his literal fists to do what he wants, I feel that you have never seen Popeye before.
Secondly, the IB DOES have limits, it doesn't alone boost Touma into being a God outside of extremely rare circumstances, circumstances he cannot replicate in a versus matchup.
And most importantly, Popeye literally has more experience in terms of fighting than Touma does, no amount of power means dick if all you are capable of doing is just throwing sloppy attacks around.

I think you are giving Touma way too much credit because he fought and "defeated" Othinus with Gungnir and that doesn't mean he can suddenly hotbox with anyone and everyone due to that alone.
Sure, Dragon Shell exists but we aren't talking about that, St. Germain buffs or Invisible Things, we are just talking about IB and that has shown limits before and only gets extenuating powerful in certain circumstances, which wouldn't matter as Popeye would end him in One Punch.

Wasn't my point, and since when is IB specifically anti-magic? We both know this isn't true.

Again, that isn't actually a thing and its limits have nothing to do with Popeye just beating him with his base strength without spinach anyway.

Also again, never said that Touma would win (as Popeye is already much stronger than him normally and has more experience), but saying Touma throws around sloppy attacks is disingenuous.

In a sense, he honestly does throw around "sloppy attacks" that people with decent levels of combat experience can deal with...
Like Little Mac is the Champion of a League where people can run faster than Bullet Trains and take out entire Buildings like they are punching bags and that's on top of having actual technique.
You think Touma has the experience to deal with someone like that?
It's the same deal with Popeye because how is IB going to deal with him when Popeye has dealt with far worse? As remember, Touma didn't fight those MGs at the height of their power, he never did a single time and they > Othinus + Gungnir remember?

I'll just agree with the first part and leave it at that.

However... when the hell has Popeye dealt with worse than IB has?
And it doesn't matter if Touma never fought them at their peak strength, because later on in NT22 Coronzon's barrier is said to either require a max-value Magic God attack to break through, or IB.
Which also doesn't matter because IB wouldn't work on his enhanced strength to begin with.

Ha, just realized the poster of that thread is Unworthy Alchemist

I’ve been gone for months and their still posting pointless one-sided matches like that. Dudes still salty AF

He avoided getting erased with all of reality after his God flicked the switch to the universe off.

Popeye said fuck that.

Literally being wiped from existence along with the entire Reality and him coming back from that?

And it doesn't matter if Touma never fought them at their peak strength, because later on in NT22 Coronzon's barrier is said to either require a max-value Magic God attack to break through, or IB.

Okay, how does that translate it into being anything close to a MG's best at that point? Because remember, Infinitely infinite division kinda means they wasn't at their max at all.

Which also doesn't matter because IB wouldn't work on his enhanced strength to begin with.

Then the hell are you arguing with me for then?! Why are you arguing with Sir_Fire? Because the entire point of the matter is that Popeye uses his strength that ultimately has it become Toonforce when it does something due to his natural borne strength.

Little Mac is the same and hell, so is Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka and most Nasuverse Mages.

I think you completely misunderstood that I'm not saying Touma is a wet towel that can't do the shit he did, just that he can't fight people who have more experience than him and explicitly outstats him in a bad way.

This is literally no different than what MGs can do. IB can already deal with their reality warping.

And I'm pretty sure if multiple knowledgeable characters say X thing requires Y level strength/techniques to get through, it's very much clear as to the level that the attack or whatever is supposed to act at.

But yes, I agree with what you're saying.
