Toaru is definitely worth it. The high points of the series are so worth it. You can start with the Railgun manga. I started with NT 17 light novel a few years ago and I enjoyed it so much I went back and read from OT 1 all over.

Nothing embarrassing here, I just t it funny how of all things, they got into the series with such a late New Testament volume that also happened to be one of the worst volumes in the series.

I can’t imagine what reading this mess was like without knowing the context and story up to then. More power to them to find enjoyment in an arc even I wasn’t a fan of.
