Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

I never really felt like it ever lost focus. The Dark Masters being evil Precursors who created and controlled the Metal Heads made them an effective overarching villain, and all the enemy factions were aimed at the same end goal.

Errol being an unstoppable hater driven insane by Dark Eco after all the shit he gave Jak was hilarious to me. He was an insane pawn motivated by a personal grudge, and while he lacked the stage presence of Praxis and Kor, I hated him on a more personal level than either.

Should have just given us an all new Dark Maker bad guy for the final villain, or even Gol and Maia from the first game since their pretty much Dark Makers themselves and wanting to destroy the world would have made more sense for them then Errol.

Gol and Maia coming back would have been neat.

Baron Praxis, Krew, and Kor. All some of my favorite bad guys in gaming.

I agree.

I counter that with the beautiful Precursor Temple scenery, scaling the Palace to fight Praxis, and the sick racing stadium.

I didn't really like the Temple tbh. It was a nice throwback to Jak 1 but wasn't a particularly fun level outside fighting the Baron at the end. The Palace was definitely the peak of Jak 2, which is unfortunate since it kinda sizzles out and then nothing else in the game matches up.

I hated the racing mini-games in Jak 2, which probably kept me from appreciating the stadium

Jak 3 had a consistent series of banger set pieces, and it saved the best ones for the end.

The return to Haven City through a valley full of those sling bastards who could snipe you from a mile away, culminating in a fight with an actual fucking Precursor guardian robot (chimera though it was), the dinosaur hunt, finding that damn satellite in the dust storm, climbing the monk temple only to glide down off it again, the seige of the Air Factory, the rhino car ride with Damos, the dive to the planets core, the spaceship raid, and especially the final fight against the Planet Shaper.

Best car in the game with one of the best side characters along for the ride.

You can, but compared to 3, there was much more balance with Jak II giving you just enough of the tools you need and nothing more.

I cant say i agree with that since Jak 2's combat was so much calmer than Jak 3's. You can (and generally were better off) use only the Blaster for 90% of the game. Whereas in Jak 3 you use Yellow by default until you get swarmed, switch to Red to clear space, use Blue for big single targets or bosses, and Purple as "fuck this fight".

The Reflexor spin was hilarious but was generally a good way to burn through ammo better spent taking out fliers or snipers. If you were getting swarmed you were much better off using Red 2/3 or doing the Spin with Blue 1 (or 3 if you felt like playing a Macross anime lol).

More importantly, in Jak 3 most combat doesnt end until you disengage. You have an objective to complete and until you do you get progressively more swarmed, so actually using the more efficient weapon lets you get through the missions much easier.

How to do some absolute gymnastics in terms of denial...

Both moves in to block the Solar Flare at the last second and tank it despite it being a threat to the Storm Border itself despite it requiring Divine Constructs to scratch and the speed of a Solar Flare is WELL beyond Supersonic

"That's only Double Digit Mach!"

I also like how they state that Kukulkan can't be the Sun because it doesn't make sense for her mass, height, etc, etc... but then ignore that ORT without it's heart, mind you, was able to generate heat on the level of a Neutron Star(so a Trillion Degrees) without any issues at all to it's canopy or any cell degeneration on top of the massive levels of cosmic radiation it shits out...
Apparently Ultimate Ones still have to obey HUMAN SCIENCE despite not even remotely operating under human physics...

This is some genuinely embarrassing shit from Spacebattles just so the Endbringers can get an an absolutely undeserved win, real shit. And I have seen some real doozies at that.

First time I remember. Though I am typing on mobile so it's possible it was my phone making me misclick
Yep, that would sure do it lol.

When you stop typing, the editor should automatically save what you typed specifically for the thread you are on as a draft.

You can also manually click the little floppy icon next to the preview button in the toolbar to save what you wrote as a draft, especially if you are using an unstable connection, like switching between cell towers or if WiFi craps out.

Ah, Fate Downplay
But there hasn't been a single word spoken about Fate yet? The discussion so far has only been about FT and by the time I'm posting this, only one person has said anything about Fate and that's someone who hasn't read the series saying he's all heard is that Fafnir can blow up Orleans.

Do you like... automatically assume downplay whenever you see a Fate thread on SB? I mean I can see where you're comming from, but damn that's salty.

Yeah these still exist, just because they are primarily talking about whether or not to include Phoenix feats onto Zeref doesn't make these two go away.
Besides, if it wasn't that, then they would have just said Melusine would take them out anyway by your own statement.

I should really make a Jak and Daxter Discussion thread, even if the series has been dead almost two decades now, still nice to reminisce on one of the best game series ever made on PlayStation

And I know @El Hermano is a fan
I might just downloaded it on my emulator and replay the series. It's been about 14-15 years since the last time I played a Jak game.

I mean, there’s a reason Senjumaru has become the next hottest thing for Bleachers to wank.

And it’s certainly nothing from her you’ll find in the manga

I mean even if you don't count her Bankai, Squad Zero did a hell of a better job than the manga as a whole... considering the Sternritter actually used their Volstandigt against them and still held their ground for awhile(Kirinji even took down Haschwalth which wasn't in the manga).

Meanwhile, Squad Zero was taken out without Volstandig and just by one person.

I think that even without the dimension-tiering bs that VSBW uses, the Star Trek universe itself is still pretty cracked in terms of scaling with an extremely vast cosmology (an infinite multiverse is only the tip of the iceberg for the series).
Just watched the episode with Nagilum, feats posted below

Overall, another extremely powerful cosmic being in Star Trek

Didn't D.Va and her team fight an Omnic Kaiju?
And considering you have D.Va fighting people like Doomfist(or the Talon Leader that took the man's weapon) and straight up no sold all of Tracer's bullets doing nothing but standing still, I'm pretty certain any real gun outside of bunker busters won't do anything to D.Va's Mech.

literally a Coughing bomb vs a Hydrogen Baby scenario
