Rose can wrap kinshara around Kensei.
Rose can TRY to wrap Kinshara around Kensei, who promptly grabs it, pulls him in and punches his damn head off.
Love ain't gonna fare much better as Kensei should just be able to punch his shikai aside.
Melee fighters with small aoe have this kind of disadvantage in team fights between peers
They are peers IN BASE or when they are in the SAME FORM.
SHIKAI Love and Rose are NOT peers to BANKAI Kensei, like are we just ignoring how big a boost Bankai is now?
Hell we literally saw the Vaizards fight Hollowfied Kensei in base and they got their fucking shit wrecked, that's what happens when you try to take on a peer while being one power up down, regardless of how many more you have.
In a very general sense, bankai version of x character should be able to beat 2+ shikai versions of himself.
Massive understatement when we're explicitly told that bankai are 5-10x boost over Shikai.
Especially true with shikai bums like HM Ichigo. Pretty sure Ikkaku too. Renji.
Not sure what makes Ichigo a Shikai bum but okay.
With more well rounded characters that are shunpo and/or kido masters and/or inventors its not as clear cut imo.
It absolutely is still as clear cut.
- Shikai Mayuri get one-shotted repeatedly by Bankai Toshiro.
- Shikai Byakuya was pretty much powerless against Bankai Ichigo.
You are NOT fighting a Bankai with Shikai, regardless of the numbers if you are otherwise the Bankai user's peer. Certainly not if there's only 2 of you.
Even with their masks in mind, the Vaizards clearly view Bankai as superior as that was what they elected not to use in FKT. The ONLY Vaizard that is beating the other Vaizards Bankai using only his Shikai is Shinji, and that's both because he's that much stronger than them by feats AND because Sakanade is OP.
In this matchup, Love is well suited to duke it out with Kensei with his physical strength that was overpowering Stark and Rose can play really good interference. They also have full knowledge of Kensei's bankai likely, so they can avoid any kind of punchout combat and if one of them gets tagged, they can help out the other by pushing them or Kensei away to avoid too many consecutive hits of the bankai.
Shikai Love is NOT matching strength with BANKAI Kensei, literally what the fuck are you smoking?
If it were Shikai Kensei then sure but these people are hella underselling how big a boost Bankai is with this shit.

They can't.
Duo extreme. Mask is roughly a bankai lvl. amp or may be a bit weaker, so in 2 vs 1 they should win if they combine cero and melee combat wisely. The only downside here is their time limit.
And yet they used Masks against the Espada and Bankai against the Nazis, which tells us both that their Bankai is a greater boost and that they viewed the Nazis as a bigger threat that warranted them.
Yes the masks make the fight HARDER for Kensei but I still don't see them winning it, even 2v1.
