That's been something I noticed in Reddit and it never made any sense to me...
Like Shirou only "won" due to so many factors that it honestly gets hilarious and even when people brought up "He died to getting shot in the head by EMIYA" he wasn't dead yet and only died due to Angra Mainyu trying and failing to use him as a Grail Substitute. They then bring up that "He lost to a Nerfed Saber"(She wasn't nerfed at all, Avalon explicitly boosted her back to her actual levels) but he only lost because of AVALON(Which even if he did see coming, he has nothing at all to get to Artoria from his Gates) and finally for Sakura, the narration explicitly states Sakura had to digest him immediately or he would have blown her the fuck up and she would be dead.

You can tell people have never read the VN because the anime removes the context of so much shit that you end up with people consistently making awful takes like these(And it's almost always him in F/SN, never him in CCC, Extella, FGO or Samurai Remnant)
 
Man if any other villain had the sheer ego that gil had in his final fight against the MC the stories would have turned out so fucking different

Imagine if Aizen just didnt use the hogyoku at all until Ichigo was about to kill him

Imagine if Freiza never tried to destroy namek until goku made him cut himself in half

Moustache could have ended the world at ANY time but chose to fuck around.

Both villains lost to their own egos.

I mean that's a different situation entirely, Frieza was legitimately out-gunned and knew he had to do that, Gilgamesh would have cut the bullshit in the same scenario.

Before Super Saiyan, Frieza did spend most of the fight fucking around and sand-bagging so.
 
Yhwach was one of the biggest morons of a final boss. Dude fell off the idiot tree and hit every branch on the way down once he became the Soul King

If retard literally just reframed from killing at least Jugram so he could finish off Uryu and even better, have Gerard also stick around who no one on the Shinigami side could even slow down, victory was as good as his

To be fair as Adamant stated, Aizen DID fuck around and not use Kyoka Suigetsu as he was all up in his own ass from the Hogyoku buff(Though to be fair to Aizen, it's not easy for him to just put someone in Kyoka Suigetsu in battle in the first place)...

To be fair, Frieza also could have murdered Goku a billion times before he went Super Saiyan in the first place.
Gilgamesh is an arrogant son of a bitch but people tend to overplay how egotistical he actually is(Basically, he's the type to look into how powerful you are and then play by that unless you explicitly show huge gains or you somehow flee the battle and gain something new that's not immediately obvious. If you are on his level or stronger, he's not gonna fuck around)

It's always these crybaby rageouts in the same vein that a Shirou fanboy crashed the fuck out that "FGO fans just aren't accepting that Shirou is the GOAT and can clear the Grand Order even more easily than Ritsuka can! Why are they mocking Shirou fans?!" tripe and then immediately go "Well look at that shitty ass powerscalers" when they unironically powerscale just as hard.

I'm not gonna comment on Melusine, Morgan or Artoria Avalon because it's a whole ass different discussion but considering how Excalibur is now vs. how it was in F/SN, it's hard to say if Excalibur was ever at full power against Ea then especially as fate/Prototype Fragments was a thing after F/SN but there's a reason it's still called Prototype.
