Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

I didn't read anything passed what is already covered by adaptations, Fang did but doesn't care enough to post feats for the series

you're better off asking @Darth Zion considering this thread:

but based on this thread pretty sure he's a UN victim

He's a UN victim.

People like to pretend that he's infinite but the thing here is that the entire verse does not have a single infinite statement to its name. The use of countless and such can be found but it is hyperbolic and never used to describe power either so he's above finite universal to an unknown degree with good hax, but that's it.

Considering how many times the official translation of FGO consistently is stated to be absolute trash when most of the time, anyone who actually knows of the localization of FGO is that it's spotty at it's worst and only a few bits of it is wrong basically fits that all on it's own.

It's extremely clear that while they will "dumpster dive", it's basically looking for their own personal headcanon rather than actually looking for any real truth.

EDIT: To move it away from one obvious take to another, look at their Bleach takes:
9/10 times it's basically taking it from a Bleach wanker because looking at their actual takes without any wankers present and it's hilariously clear they fully believe in the "Bleach Statements, Bleach Feats" meme otherwise.

This infinite statement kinda pissed me off.

Bleach has statements about the Garganta being infinite, and DxD mentions Hell as being infinite. These two verses are elevated to universe level (3-A/Low 2-C) in the VSBW rankings based on these claims.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball, despite being set in one of twelve universes, is not considered infinite by VSBW—even though the Daizenshuu has made six statements describing the universe as infinite. And yet, VSBW refuses to accept it.

That’s why all these light novel feats make me roll my eyes—there’s always some exaggerated hyperbole. When these feats eventually get animated or adapted into a manga, they often don’t live up to the claims. The grandiose descriptions in text rarely translate into something equally impressive on screen or in panels.

It’s frustrating how such over-the-top statements are taken at face value while more grounded series, like Dragon Ball, which actually show consistent cosmic-scale feats, get overlooked or downplayed.

Unbelievable.:giogio

@Hiryuu :

My guy, you got Othinus being summoned as an entire class beneath White Queen in the canon series

Even in canon, Kamachi all but spells it out that the White Queen is in a different league to Othinus

All the crossover novels do is give an opportunity to show this difference in action
And Aoandon it's character from Zashiki Warashi, another book by Kamachi.

Btw, Yukari can create infinite multiverse, but cannot defeat Zashiki Warashi god

There's no such thing as a multiverse,
Yeah, a conventional multiverse also does not exist.

It's just a hierarchy of dimensions having unknown sizes which contain at least a planet and a star. People who wank Anos assume that these dimensions are universes but they are not, and the hierarchy in question is not complete transcendence either- realms higher up are just harder to destroy by virtue of being more durable but they are not infinitely or conceptually superior either. I'm being generous when I say he's around universal because it's the calc stacking from the hierarchy which inflates his power to that level.

That being said, I'm not exactly an expert either. I just browsed through the LNs and got bored by the bland overpowered MC without a personality flexing on everyone trope which is the basis of the entire story- if I want that shit then I read Xianxia, at least they are properly dramatic.
That’s why all these light novel feats make me roll my eyes—there’s always some exaggerated hyperbole
It's definitely hyperbole. This is the evidence for infinite universes-
Seeing the countless brightly shining stars, my subordinates caught their breath, and we continued to move forward through these black skies. Soon, the speed of the castle slowed down, and we saw in front of us a building made of the same materials as Delzogeid.
You don't have to be a genius to figure out that the quote talking about the beauty of the sky above is probably not a reflection of the author's intent regarding the size of the verse. Moreover, countless is not equal to infinite and is used in Japanese to indicate a very large number which is exactly what is happening here.

Actual infinitity has also a specific kanji 'mugen' which was never used in the series. Maou Gaukin is not infinite, people thought it was multiversal because of bad translation.

Wtf, DxD is universe-level? When explicitly stated that Issei would die to a planet-destroying explosion?

I don't know how VSB gets the power levels so wrong when they are plainly laid out- the God Tiers from the Top Strongest List such as Shiva and Great Red are planetary from statements, the Super Devils are continental based on Ajuka creating a landmass the size of Australia, the Satans are country level or above based on Serafall destroying Japan by releasing her power, Longinus Users can destroy human civilization over a long period of time so they are probably also around country level, High Class are mountain level based on Issei destroying a mountain and Riser matching him, and everyone below are irrelevant mooks.

Hell is not infinite either nor is Heaven which has a similar statement, it's stated to be endless and that's probably because it can increase its size based on the souls inside it since it was purposely created to house the souls of the dead.

As for Bleach, Garganta being infinite does not scale to any characters since it's just the void separating the three worlds as far as I know. (not an expert)

That being said, I can see why people would reject Dragon Ball universes being infinite- especially when nobody there shows any actual property of being infinite. But that's just author not knowing what infinite actually means which is common across fiction, so I can accept infinite DB so long as someone shows the author definitely intended for the characters to be infinite. (gonna have to lurk on DB respect threads for that, not a DB expert either)

Wtf, DxD is universe-level?

That's just Blood Sign's Othinus, as far as it aware. There's no way you can really equate her to Toaru's Othinus unless she replicates the same feats she showcased in Toaru, which wouldn't even work because the two worlds work on completely different mechanics and cosmologies.

That’s literally just Othinus from a different world I e Toaru

I’ve been meaning to address this incorrect information for quite some time, and now I finally have the chance.

The Othinus mentioned in Blood Sign is not the same Othinus from Toaru. That novel has nothing to do with any crossover, and before any crossover happened, Toaru’s Othinus had no relation whatsoever to the Othinus mentioned in Blood Sign. They simply share the same name.

Even in the crossover novel, all Othinus did was suppress the Odin from the Waltraute universe by matching the symbolic concept of “Odin,” all while having lost all of her powers.

Also, the short story Kamachi wrote for the 10th anniversary website is a comedic side story, so it’s basically non-canon from the start.

Now it’s time to compare the achievements of the White Queen from the main Blood Sign storyline with those of Othinus from Toaru. Personally, I still see Othinus as superior.

According to Blood Sign Volume 7, bringing down the White Queen would require something on the level of swallowing an entire infinite universe to create an ultra-massive black hole.

Meanwhile, Magic Gods can destroy an infinite universe at the flick of a finger, encompassing the physical world (high-dimensional theory) as well as all mythological and religious standings.

In other words, they can easily meet at least the basic requirement for defeating the White Queen.

More like from a completely different story lol.

To drive home the point, Aleister has a technique called Blood Sign, which is completely different from what a Blood Sign is in well, Blood Sign.

This is just throwing more words in about what Hiryu said before: Saying this is a different Othinus then the one from Index when it’s never stated and Occam’s Razor says it’s clearly just Othinus

Even in the crossover novel, all Othinus did was suppress the Odin from the Waltraute universe by matching the symbolic concept of “Odin,” all while having lost all of her powers
Wrong crossover. There’s another one that ends with White Queen killing everyone and wiping out the universe in a Plank second

And same novel goes out of its way to mention Othinus was at her full power too

The spiky-haired boy loudly clapped his hands together and called out.

“D-does anyone have some extra snacks!? It’s time to do battle!!”

“Here you go.”

Someone squeezed out a low voice while setting down a large plate full of cheese and crackers. It was Perfect Othinus in her full-sized blonde girl form.

Waltraute sat up with more surprise than Kamijou. Her legs must have gone to sleep from sitting the Japanese way, so she leaned forward a bit as she stared at the blonde girl wearing an eyepatch, a witch hat, a cape, and a black leather outfit even more embarrassing than a swimsuit.

“Wh-wh-what are you doing here, you bearded head god!?”

“That’s my line. Why was the head god left out while a mere vanguard soldier got one of the limited seats?”

And the strongest person present as a result, besides the White Queen

She was the head god of an entire mythology, so (with the exception of the White Queen who had gone beyond the gods) she should have been the strongest of the current age. But now that the goddess had abandoned him, the spiky-haired boy’s fate was sealed.

Also, the short story Kamachi wrote for the 10th anniversary website is a comedic side story, so it’s basically non-canon from the start.
Nothing comedic about the story revealed to be an endless death loop caused by the White Queen for fun, with everyone including Othinus among the victims of it
Now it’s time to compare the achievements of the White Queen from the main Blood Sign storyline with those of Othinus from Toaru. Personally, I still see Othinus as superior.

According to Blood Sign Volume 7, bringing down the White Queen would require something on the level of swallowing an entire infinite universe to create an ultra-massive black hole.
That was euphemism to describe her influence over reality, likening her to a black hole that twists and distorts things to the same degree

In truth. Nothing in the series could ever actually beat her without going through endless hoops, even the MC creating a brand new Unexplored Class, essentially introducing a whole new concept to reality, whose very existence is to kill the White Queen
Meanwhile, Magic Gods can destroy an infinite universe at the flick of a finger, encompassing the physical world (high-dimensional theory) as well as all mythological and religious standings.
White Queen slips into higher dimensions in the above side story, and she did try destroying both the world of humans and that of Materials like her towards the end of her battle with the Colorless Girl who just undid her attack

Unexplored Summon Blood Sign is a shorter series, isn’t quite as battle focused as Toaru, and just doesn’t have the same degree of world building and detail as Toaru which has gone on for 20 years to accumulate feats

It’s still consistently shown by the writer both in Blood Sign and especially in crossover White Queen is at the top of the totem pole among Kamachi’s works and stated numerous times she’s > Othinus

Wrong crossover. There’s another one that ends with White Queen killing everyone and wiping out the universe in a Plank second

This is that “comedic,” unofficial side story posted on Kamachi’s 10th anniversary website that I just mentioned.

Should I give you an example from another work? It’s about as significant as a One Piece vs. Toriko vs. Dragon Ball crossover—basically not worth paying attention to.

It’s just a simple gag piece.

I can’t provide the original text from the site where the novel was posted (http://kamachi10th.dengeki.com/)
because the Kadokawa website was taken down by a DDoS attack, but it’s purely a crossover with a focus on comedy.
It’s entirely separate from the novel mentioned in the author’s afterword, in which he said he wanted to try blending different universes.

パラドクスを阻止しよう。

多分本編と違ってあいつとあいつがくっついたから運命が全力全開で過剰反発してこんな目に遭ったのだ。本来は体を守るための機能が誤作動を起こすアナフィラキシーショックみたいにな!!
Let's stop the paradox.

Maybe unlike in the main story, because that guy and that guy got together, fate overreacted at full force and caused this to happen. Like anaphylactic shock where the function that is supposed to protect the body malfunctions!

It says that the web-based novel is different from the main story. it's referring to the novel crossover.
That doesn’t say anything about what I said about how power levels are interacted with accurately or how the third person narrative makes it clear which characters are stronger than who

@fiamma @Astaro

you have your own no aru thread, for convos like those, same thing i have said to xhom and cross about nasu land, a long time ago, dont spaz this thread here
