reminds me of when someone said that air resistance doesnt exist in overlord
but niggas were still trying to do calcs for shit that need air resistance
Its worthy of note the actual qoute for air resistance not existing is weird, in that ainz notes it specifically doesn't exist for items in free fall, there are a few instances where it does seem to be present. Most notably off the top of my head, when ainz kicks at an adventurer his foot moves fast enough to produce a vacuum that slices the hair from the adventurers head. This isn't just flowery language as it has a physical effect on the world, so ainz is able to push against and displace air to the degree it can slice through hair, which wouldn't be possible if air resistance simply didn't exist at all.
My suspicion from reading overlord is rather then not existing at all air resistance is subject to the author wanting it to work/ruling it to work. It specifically reminds me of overlords take on freedom of movement.
If you don't know in overlord freedom of movement was redubbed movement restriction resistance, except now it applies universally to any source of restraint, up to and including being buried alive, paralyzed, petrified, wrapped in a net, or grappled. With each effect resulting in the resistance doing something completely different in order for you to no longer be "restrained". (You turn intangible if wrapped in a net/grappled, the stone can't take effect if petrified, parylsis doesn't trigger, and your seemingly teleported out of the ground if buried alive all of these are passive effects because according to the resistance your not allowed to be restrained. It also keeps you balanced on icy/unevent terrain but that ones somewhat normal)
Also apparently high level stealth characters can passively turn pseudo invisible (described as appearing like a rock in your peripheral vision/a rustle of leafs ect), but ainz arcane vision/perception bypasses this non magical stealth ability, which is just a weird thing that randomly pops up in volume 15.
