Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

Translations from the DBS Broly novel

But using this to his advantage, the Gogeta who had just gained distance gathers his hands at hip level in preparation for a ki blast stance. In response to that, Broly does the same.

Haaa!!
Gaaa!!

Energy containing the might of a different dimension collides between the two. A flash of light surges as a silent explosion expanded.
The next instant, Gogeta and Broly found themselves within a dimension of swirling strange lights. The boundary of the dimension could not withstand the energy released by them and got torn apart.

As Gogeta ascends after dodging one of them, tens of other ki blasts chase after him. Gogeta handily dodges them, and responds by launching a similar barrage of ki blasts towards Broly.

Gaaah!

As Broly dodges the attack, he makes his way towards Gogeta. After leaving the opposing shock wave, Gogeta rushes towards Broly as well. The instant their punches collided, a chance is once again triggered within the dimension. As the light of the dimension crumbles away, the scenery of the original world returns. Broly and Gogeta land on the ground, keeping at a distance to each other. Unable to fully withstand the momentum of the landing, Broly slips along the ground until he finally stops. Although he had assumed somewhat of a stance, he was breathing heavily.

Uh, well, I can't. So, I'd like the link, since it's apparently so easy?
Yeah that's not speaking well for your deductive skills, my guy lol.

So I'm going to make this easier for you and give you the most simple reason for it possible, a reason that anyone who can understand fiction can get:
The reason why Gogeta and Broly don't have Planets and Stars exploding in their fight and they went with Reality Breaking instead... is because of the fact it gets the point across better without sacrificing the intensity or the spectacle of the fight itself.
Fiction may not be real but like with every other piece of media ever, do you need to be consistently told and shown that a character that can destroy a Plateau with a single shockwave can do so every single time? Wouldn't that not be tiring on both the writers, the animators and hell, even the audience? Do we also have to do the extremely obvious clarification if the fight happens in the city for higher stakes on why this character suddenly isn't destroying the city with those same punches?

Like let's legit bring in Jujutsu Kaisen since Spacebattles currently loves nuthugging that series and you must have atleast seen it a bit:

How many times has anyone in the final arc consistently shown things that has them at the strength of easily punching people through skyscrapers? And I mean through physicals? Because I can easily count that it's a genuine few meanwhile during the final battle with Yuji and Sukuna, I'm supposed to then be impressed going by your logic Yuji can be injured being slammed through a balcony? You see where the issue is here? I can also go with the many Bleach examples which gets even funnier with the intro of the anime final arc at that.

how we go from powerscaling to claiming people lack empathy
can we disagree with people without saying they are both stupid and sociopaths

all good faith lost

It was from an argument XCano had with ChaosTheory and XCano tried to act like he was the "better man" while treating us like the dregs of Society or some truly fucked up individuals and ChaosTheory went against that and it basically turned into some real stupid shit.

Went and looked for it when they basically got real heated but you can go further and look into it some more.

i will clarify at least personally im more of a narrative scaling guy if you want to demonstrate characters arent as strong as claimed i think they should be founded in those estimates going against the story as we are shown, but people doing the pointing wojak meme every time planet busters dont kill all of humanity every time they fight is not remotely that

so-called "universe busters" when I ask them to destroy the unive- wait NO

All this shit boils down to is Xcano suffering from cognitive dissonance.

He'll claim he isnt. Regardless of how much evidence anyone throws at him on any topic he will claim that they are wrong and hes right. He will also claim moral highground any chance he gets as he has demonstrated multiple times here

i can take people with a lot of weird nonsensical takes, who knows they might actually blindside me with something ive never heard before or some obscure little known info
or even if i disagree with someone i can still think theyre a decent person coming from a good (if imo, misguided, place)

but if you have to resort to saying someone lacks empathy because you got into an argument over fucking powerscaling
the conversation isnt worth it you are a bug man

and with that, the only appropriate response is shitposting

on a completely different note

The Library teaming up with Nazarick is NOT happening

Roland (who at his core is an incredibly empathetic and kind individual) would furioso these mfs the moment one of their members gets booked and the Library gets the full run-down on what Nazarick is about

the entire overlord verse is going in that machine that wipes things from existence

I mean, the easy reply here is that this is projection borne out of your own lack of empathy, but also uhhhh, I don't believe you lol.
Believe me on what?

And lack of empathy? That sounds mighty cute from the man afraid of the homeless, no? I don't empathize with that, but do you bro :maybe
Unless you literally think you're incapable of determining the themes or message of a story unless it's spoonfed to you, you are perfectly capable of inferring intent.
Not that, more that the themes of the story are going to get interpreted multiple ways by multiple individuals
And, even if you can't... I think I can!
More "I think" is no objective marker for measure buddy :maybe
You can think that's arrogant if you want, but I think I'm just doing due diligence and often speaking to authors directly just reconfirms what I'd already expected.
Which author deigns to actually engage this horseshit other than to troll the frothing masses that often badger them over this bullshit?
If you still think it's impossible, fine I guess. I think you're basically admitting to being too stupid to read, though, in which case like what's the point in trying.
It's not impossible to take a stab, I just don't think either my stab or your own is any sort of objective truth

Games need rules, inference is a fun exercise, but often doesn't satisfy the requirement for actual merited fact

Absent anything else, go nuts, otherwise your conclusions have no more value than anyone else with their head stuck up their ass :maybe
