I don't like the dichotomy you're presenting here - obviously I know I'm Town, but to me the whole thing read as her wanting to mess around (I don't really feel much frustration present there beyond being caught Day 1 I suppose). I think you are, charitably, trying to read tea leaves here. At the point she decides to open-scum any attempts to parse what she is saying is exactly what she is aiming for. With the knowledge now that I (one of the two scum reads she had) was the one who questioned her read, how does that impact your analysis here?
Whicker basically took all kills for the night, so we simply wouldn't know. Small scum teams would also make bussing less likely.

I may well be reading too much into the whole thing.

But my experience playing mafia (particularly with mid-tier players) is that when playing as scum, there is a tendency to make sure that at least one scum gets mentioned - be it a reads list, or WIFOM-creating posts like Psychic's.

I don't think its a conscious decision - its just natural as scum to craft lists that dont just include purely town.

Add to that the fact BPD's play around Psychic that I'm not a fan of, and I'm seeing smoke.

While I fundamentally agree with this take, the suspicions aren't based on her "posting oddly". They're based on her posts looking very likely to be teamed with Psychic.

Still scum, and I don't care for his progression. It shouldn't exist. I've outlined this in prior posts and it bores me to repeat it - every game where he is slotted with scum Psychic he identifies her and reaches the conclusion almost immediately. Because it's obvious.

Oh and also I'm not really getting what people are putting out re Vinegar. I know they post oddly but something feels different in their odd posting style this game, versus last game.

They're very much a player that I think will screw themselves (and maybe their team) over as the game goes on tbh, so they're not a huge priority for me.

I would at least like to see more contextual analysis from those of you familiar with Juice meta, I doubt it would offer much. I would say she's not a bad shout in getting rid of regardless and the better question would be why are you a fan of keeping her around.

This piece of info in the OP seems to suggests that there is A) a primary mafia alignment and B) some reason to obscure this information. So it could be multiball, but the emphasis there on Primary there kind of suggests otherwise? But there's no reason to obscure this information if something isn't different. So cautiously assuming this to be the case.

Something else that struck out to me - Psychic's flip shows that she can get extra kills every 3 cycles. This is breaking one of Gram's internal rules, which also might suggest something - I'm not quite sure what.

Having played scum with them, my mentality is basically they'll go rogue and probably screw themselves over sooner rather than later if they're scum.

I had said previously that I didn't like your posts or Chris', and could see you two distancing. But then I thought Psychic was scummy too, and you were going in on that too. Therefore, it seems far less feasible that you'd so aggressively distance with two teammates.

So, I had you as a scum lean before, and after seeing you go after two people who I also suspected to be scum, it was worth reevaluating you (and by extension, the links I had made between you and Chris).

This was enough to switch you from a scum lean to a town lean - is that not enough of a change for me to "reevaluate"?

Well his underlying reasoning is to my understanding that he doesn't want mafia to be able to claim those extra kills as Vig's. So I'm not sure if them being separated would square that.

I don't really know how you square that - if you're giving extra kills you are giving them the option to fake claim a Vig.

You're still not understanding what I'm saying. It wasnt you going after CP that changed my view of you. It was when you went after Psychic too.

My main presumption regarding you being scummy was that your interactions with CP sounded like distancing.
This meant that my scumread on you was predicated on you being teamed with CP (who I also scumread, partially for his interactions with you but also because he seemed more serious than I expect his town game to be so early in the game).

Then you started going hard after Psychic too, and I agreed with you on Psychic being scummy.

It was at this point that I felt the need to reevaluate my earlier stance. Given I thought Psychic was going to flip scum, then if you and CP were to be co-scum, it would mean you had hard-bussed 2 of your teammates in short order.

Since this was unlikely, I reevaluated my stance on you. Given the context of my scumread on Psychic, it made it likely that I had simply misread your and CP's interaction as a bus.



Over and above all of the above, I was feeling like your play was feeling more and more townie, hence me adding that even if Psychic flipped town, I was still now leaning towards you being town on play.
