We’ll see how this plays out. But as I currently see it, Raven can get Unkindness and still likely lose (especially once Jean takes it to the White Hot Room which is pretty much inevitable).

Also Jean sounds far superior, I just can't see an argument in Raven's favor
Edit: OFC Morrison wrote it. That means I have to actually sit down and read the whole Morrison run to get it because it's 9/10 likely not a feat that can be understood at face value. Thank God I still got 6 years of DC comics to read before nu52

What was the reasoning? And yup, if the previews shows one side dominating / being the instigator, that’s the one that’s going to lose
The reasoning was Raven, when not holding back, has faced folks as strong as Jean/Phoenix, and can regen from her soul getting flamed, whilst the phoenix needed help at one point to bring back Jean's soul, and the white room takes too long to bring Jean back, so Raven can just destroy her soul.
Their reasoning is false, because Trigon, even on his best day, along with Mxy, who they're scaling Raven above, are not even close to the Phoenix' full power, but I don't care. The better girl one, so I'm good.
