Death Battle Discussion

Kratos is so lacking in anything impressive he’s ever done that his big finisher included stealing Asura’s feat of catching Gongen Wyzen’s finger over anything he’s ever done
there's over what 8 ish games
and kratos in the span of all of that

has yet to show 1 feat above just one scene in asura's wrath

He should have with the events of GoW III ending both the gods and the titans
pretty sure
only select few titans died

typhon is still alive presumably

leaving only hope for the mortals that survived the cataclysmic events
does kratos giving the power of hope to mortals
mean atlas died?

pretty sure, it was just a kratos trying to repent type thing
not him trying to save all survivors

he also tried killing himself with the blade

Kinda wished the games ended there btw, with kratos ending his life to repent for all the death and carnage
he caused, it would be a good concrete ending for his character

instead they chose to invalidate gow 3's ending and just milk the series for profit

GOW/God of war related arguments are always the most normie filled
stuff ever

he kills gods
but he's based on mythology
he's defied death

and stuff like this will be argued with a straight face against characters with the same exact things going on

Like kratos beats cause he a god doe
Is legit a common take, you will see

they legit dont know or care
that gods and mythology inspired stuff are common tropes in media

Kratos is so lacking in anything impressive he’s ever done that his big finisher included stealing Asura’s feat of catching Gongen Wyzen’s finger over anything he’s ever done

Funniest thing
too

btw
to sell kratos beating asura

they had to show kratos being animated with asura's wrath type feats
kinda like what they did with akuma in the asura's wrath game

where they made him much more stronger just to sell him being near or close to asura's lv

The death battle had to ignore the typical way kratos fights in his games just to him look near what asura does in nearly every boss fight

I know the episode features obvious mistakes and Destructor level flaws in the reasoning that ultimately ruined the result

But, there is a much bigger picture to look at. Do you guys recall the original Link Vs. Cloud, and Yang Vs. Tifa?

Those episode featured faulty logic, and ridiculous arguments to justify a result that made no sense, and the series that took the biggest blow was Final Fantasy 7

But, if we fast-forward to Link Vs. Cloud 2, what do we see?

They learned from their mistakes, and gave us a better research, as well as the correct verdict

What do we see when we look at Weiss Vs. Mitsuru, and Ganondorf Vs. Dracula, when compared to previous RWBY/Zelda episodes?

It's true that Omnidock was a dud that nearly anyone with some knowledge about the MU could debunk if given the chance. It's true that Krasura feeds the crowd of Kratos wankers...

But, if they're capable of looking back at previous episodes, and decide to make things right, it is possible they learn from the mistakes they made here and later provide us for future episodes not only great animation, but also results that make sense

having to relearn from the same mistakes multiple times over and over

Nah dawg fuck that, she shouldn't have to go through the same arc 9 times in a row

I don’t know. With the direction Vs debates have taken since this hobby becomes increasingly picked up on by normies on Reddit or TikTok, where everyone and their dog is wanked to Multiversal levels off the dumbest things, it’ll only benefit characters like Kratos that run on hyperbolic dribble and over-interpretation

VBW which first popularized this kind of shit overtaking the OBD was basically the point of no return

People got buckbroken by Dragon Ball Super & Google Plus Debates.

Like just look at Kratos vs Spawn from years ago on Death Battle when he was still fairly grounded and his in-game feats were used vs this one to see how much more flimsy they’ve become with their research and high balling

Well...

Bowser Vs. Eggman

It was a MU that lent itself for wanking the Chaos Emeralds, and the Phantom Ruby, to insane levels of multiversal+

And yet, they went with a relatively reasonable take that allowed for a close MU with the Mario Universe, in which hax/abilities tilted the balance in favor of the same winner OBDers supported

We also agreed that both sides were so close in power that hax was one of the biggest factor to determine a winner

So, with the direction the show is going, they chose not to wank Eggman or the Sonic verse, and provided a result we could agree with despite some flaws, which proves they're capable of restraining themselves in this regard and use logic/reason if given the chance
