Death Battle Discussion

True but Omni-Man is more popular than Bardock as characters and the new Invincible Season was coming along
I think it’s contestable because of Bardock being such a fan favorite among a fandom as big as Dragon Ball and how much everything from video games to even the Super manga with the Granolah arc expanded on him

normies dont read manga
tho

With how mainstream manga has become and this being Dragon Ball no less, I disagree

Nobody knows what manga really even is
outside of guys who talk about canon and power scailing shit online

Ask your average guy who knows what goku is
and they will be saying they know of him by the anime they seen on tv as a kid

"Dude trust me" vs "I have the receipts" and they went with "dude trust me"

Death Battle crew could become decent lawyers if this episode is anything to go by

Helios light being faster then chakravartin's laser attacks was a reach
a big one at that, given the actual scope of the laser vs the light

They sure wanked the size of the Underworld

This is official art of the entire Greek World for the Greek era God of War games, with Mt. Olympus, the surrounding disc of land that is Greece, and the underworld and all of Tartarus below with key land marks like the 3 judges of the underworld and Atlas at the far left holding up Greece

It’s not that fucking big

“But but Muh Primordials making stars when they clashed

Discounting how the developers themselves said all the Primordials made was Greece and the rest of the cutscene showing them losing entire body parts just to make oceans and the land

Even those “stars” don’t mean much in a setting where the Sun is just a floating temple in the sky that can be knocked down to Earth

30:25

And 31:28 for the size of the Sun Temple / Chariot

Needless to say, that “sun” is no real celestial body

Maybe some of the first GoW, but New GoW is kinda too much on the Sony cycle where they prioritize Story over Game play and its not as satisfying
It is up to preference whetever you like a specific series or not but you genuinely can't deny that GoW old and new is simply vastly superior in quality.

Look how long it took Okami to get a sequel (Okamiden was a half assed outsourced attempt). Nobody can genuinely tell me that Asura's Wrath is anywhere close to the former in craftsmanship. I could name you 20 axed series easily which deserve a sequel moreso than AW.

In a lot of cases it also takes years for people to appreciate a masterfully crafted game (looks at Bayonetta) to then get a sequel.

pretty sure that model cant work
anymore considering greece is now set on the same continent as norway

or same planet at least

the ps4
ps5 era of gow games

make no sense within the context of the older ps2 ps3 entries

the gods being locked to their country was never really a idea

given the primordials made greece without being magic locked to said country

So? Can clearly see the surrounding earth beyond the Underworld to argue that’s the surrounding borders.

And presumably, the disc collapsed into the underworld at the end of GoW 3 where all the gods and titans are wiped out including Atlas who holds the pillar up

The funniest thing:

Kratos is so lacking in anything impressive he’s ever done that his big finisher included stealing Asura’s feat of catching Gongen Wyzen’s finger over anything he’s ever done
