Death Battle Discussion

Iirc Hit centered episodes in Japan did well and he still used Heroes content so maybe there's hope for him to do shit and get something there but gotta see

Niggas can be a hit n a miss but yeah

Hit offers alot to the table compare to the average DB character.
Reminder that despite this, he was wasted in the manga. Goes to show again that Trashtaro had no clue what the fuck he was doing with him, or anything for that matter.

Hit's time/space powers, while not as varied as other characters in his class, are at least used well and with solid efficiency. Man would be a breath of fresh air in a DB from most DB characters. :kobeha

I know the franchise is popular, but I don’t remember them having that many videos.

A pair of Link vs Cloud, Zelda vs Peach, Ganon vs Bowser, and Ganon vs Dracula, right?
I think it definitely helps that 3 out of the 5 got the full 3D treatment.

Definitely. Pocket Dimension Intang + Heart Stopping Intangible Shockwave + Cage of Time >>>>> TIme Lag.

With the manga it feels like they forget Hit's killing techniques even exist, despite him being forced to hold those back being one of the main reasons Goku forfeited the U6 tournament :dank

And in the anime, Hit being forced to hold them back wasn't even what made Goku bow out. It was a mixture, if I recall, of wanting to give the F you to Beerus and Champa, as well as the fact that his body was about to gas on him from using KK10 on top of SSB, while Hit was still more than able to rumble. Something that made Hit look like a beast by the end, after that battle they had.

Yup. Hit essentially got two draws on Goku in the anime (two draws and a win if we also count the "fight" where Goku's heart was stopped :maybe).

And in the ToP he got to outsmart (when he tricked him into nearly ringing himself out) and beat the everloving shit out of Dyspo before ultimately going down to Jiren.

And Manga Hit didn't really get any of that. With such a nerfed version of timeskip it completely lessened the complexity of the fight and tactics needed to overcome the ability.

People also use the shitty ass manga to downplay anime Hit routinely, saying that a higher power-level is all it takes to beat his time-skip, despite it working on a more powerful, KK-boosted Goku and on Jiren, just before he hit him with Time Cage. The only thing the anime failed on, was in not having more shit for Hit in the TOP. I still to this day wish that the time-clone theory had been real, and that Hit had outsmarted Jiren to remain in the tournament.:wow

I know some looking at this and be like man why y'all gassing up Hit as if he's some big name

Well for Super Era characters specifically left at This point who the fuck is there to use that's worth a damn :dank
Hit
Jiren
M.Zam
And that's it

That's three niggas from Super that's only worth a damn lol

Also help Hit moveset makes him standout

Exactly. Improvement, baybeeee. You better watch out if you can't shut down Hit early :blobtrin

Yeah, that would've been hype as fuck.

I mained this nig so hard in FighterZ man, you have no idea. Kicking people's ass with him was too much fun. :mjgrin
Lmao, there's some very fun FighterZ compilation videos for Hit. This one holds a special place in my heart

Pure progress, I believe the games called it. And yeah, even though its not mentioned, you can see it was still in somewhat of an effect during the Jiren fight as well.

More than hype. Imagine Hit's clone says nothing and simply hangs his head, which we're all led to believe is in shame for failing his mission, when in reality, it was so that Jiren wouldn't figure out he'd been conned if he glanced up at him. The TOP then goes on as normal, up until Universe 6 and 2 look to have been eliminated, but only Universe 2 is announced, causing confusion amongst everyone who hasn't caught on to Hit's ruse, like the GP immediately did. Jiren, not knowing what's going on, ends up getting the ultimate surprise while he's not prepared for an attack, when Hit strikes him in the chest, directly into his heart, dropping him to his knees while standing over him in the most badass "Surprise motherfucker, you ain't got rid of me yet!" stance of all time with an epic glare to end out the episode.

Shit would've been PEAK! :mshad

The DMC wank is still as atrocious as ever. The POC excuses as well were the cherry on top of this, for me. :mjlol
