In the researcher community clash of the ODBD, the researchers debated hypothetical matchups to see who would win
(Don’t take this as absolute certainty lol)
**Hellboy VS Nero**
- Hellboy is fairly underresearched
- Referenced the Malaysia feat
- Referenced the completely made up DMC scans
- Wasn’t much of a debate but they went with Nero lol, mainly speed
**Azula VS Edelgard**
- Were very direct in Edelgard beating Azula
- Javelins of Light are > any Avatar feats that aren’t the Avatar
- Azula would be faster, didn’t buy FTL FE
- There’s an Azula comic coming out in a few days
- Despite Heroes or Engage being possibly canon, chose not to use it for Guts Dimitri because it’s supplementary media
- DJ noted they would use Engage for Kylo Edel
- Think they’ve done about all is needed for Avatar in Death Battle
**Kurapika VS Scar**
- FMA stats are all over the place, go with Kurapika atm
- AP and Speed are relative but Scar’s alchemy wouldn’t do anything against Nen and Scar has no defenses against it
- They wouldn’t equate Nen and Alchemy
**Mojo Jojo VS Gorilla Grodd**
- Very fun
- Akuma argued for a Mojo win
- Mojo has a pen that can tear apart reality
- Got quickly shut down when faced with Grodd scaling to Flash and Grodd being one of the strongest telepaths in the verse
- Don’t think Grodd is very explored versus wise or super interesting
- Grodd tagged Flash at specifically full speed
- Grodd should just win
**Darkwing Duck VS Inspector Gadget**
- Scaled Darkwing to Donald
- Inspector Gadget dies
- Referenced “Go Go Gadget Murder Goku”
**Ness VS Frisk**
- Had a big reaction over how complicated it would be
- Put Frisk at Uni, don’t think Ness can match that.
- Questioned giving Chara to Frisk.
- Decided to move on
**Chrono VS Issac**
- Went with Issac, was a lot of random jumbles of stats and I didn’t really get anything out of it
- Like the MU
**Magneto VS Accelerator**
- Sounds close, lean Accelerator?
- Accelerator has greater abilities and counters
- Mainly his vectors would be a great help to win
- Magneto would likely have better stats but it wouldn’t end up mattering
**KAZUMA VS SUBARU**
- I genuinely gained nothing from this other than asking if the Mario movie was an isekai
