Ballot Banter #46 Recap​

This one features Sam, Liam, Ben, Erin, and John.
Captain Marvelous VS Kamen Rider Decade (Super Sentai VS Kamen Rider)- They like the look of the thumbnail. Ben thinks Captain Marvelous would be super fun to use, though he knows nothing about Decade. Sam and Liam also say the MU seems cool and fun.
Hibiki Tachibana VS Yuki Yuna (Symphogear VS Yuki Yuna is a Hero)- Liam calls Symphogear “the mascot of Ballot Banter”, because he sees it a lot in Banters, but he doesn’t know what it is. He would be interesting in learning about it. They don’t seem to know Yuki Yuna either, but Sam says he gets the idea.
Anakin Skywalker VS Terra (Star Wars VS Kingdom Hearts)- John has seen it around a lot. Liam thinks the MU would be cool, and he’d love to use pre-Vader Anakin.
Kazuma VS Subaru (KonoSuba VS Re:Zero)- John says Kazuma could probably kill Subaru, but Subaru would just keep coming until he eventually wins. He doesn’t think Subaru against somebody without a counter to his death hax would be a fair fight. He does eventually say he gets the appeal of the MU, because “it’s fairly grounded if you just take out the hax”.
Anne VS Luz (Amphibia VS The Owl House)- Glossed over because it’s been talked about so many times. Everybody still loves it.
(They essentially skip past Ruby VS Maka for obvious reasons).
Kermit the Frog VS Tulio Trivino (The Muppets VS 31 Minutos)- They’ve never heard of 31 Minutos. They all like Kermit, though they have varying degrees of familiarity with the Muppets (Liam has only seen The Muppet Christmas Carol, while Erin watched all of The Muppet Show growing up). Sam points out that Kermit survived getting hit by a car in The Muppets Take Manhattan.
Spider-Man VS The Crawler (Marvel VS My Hero Academia: Vigilantes)- After some discussion about the Crawler being obviously inspired by Spidey, and briefly trying to read a fight script that got submitted, Sam says he can see what the OP was going for and it’s pretty fun. However, he also says the Crawler “might have a tough time”.
Yugo VS Klonoa (Wakfu VS Klonoa)- They don’t know a ton about Klonoa, and John’s the only one familiar with Wakfu. He likes Yugo as a character, but says he’s heard he reaches universal by the end of the series. Liam assumes Klonoa gets stomped in that case, but it’s then argued Klonoa might be at a similar level (Ben says he’s seen Klonoa get pit against Kirby, so he probably is). John ends up saying he likes the MU based on first impressions.
All Might VS Korosensei (My Hero Academia VS Assassination Classroom)- They get the connections. They note that Korosensei gets requested a lot, though Ben and John have never seen him against All Might.
SMG4 VS DevilArtemis Cell- Sam calls it “very, very niche” and “so wild”.
Kazuya Mishima VS Albert Wesker (Tekken VS Resident Evil)- Sam says the MU just came up as a potential Cast debate. Liam wants to bring in Kazuya because “Tekken’s funny” (he specifically wants to reuse the cutscene of Kazuya using Heihachi as a human shield).
Majora VS Nightmare (The Legend of Zelda VS Soulcalibur)- After explaining Nightmare’s lore, Ben calls it an interesting MU. He says that Nightmare doesn’t have reality manipulation to the level of Majora. Liam would love to have Majora in DB. Ben says the more he thinks about the MU, the more he likes it, and everyone else agrees it’s unique and cool. Sam wants the fight to have a scene where Majora sends the moon crashing into Earth, only for Nightmare to slice it in half.
(Luigi VS Pac-Man and Joker VS Giorno both get glossed over because they’ve been talked about to death. Everyone likes both of them).
Dwight Schrute VS Ron Swanson (The Office VS Parks and Recreation)- Ben says “It’s so dumb. I love it”. Sam argues that Dwight is often an idiot, while Ron is more consistently capable. Ben argues that Dwight’s insane antics and Ron’s reactions to them would help make the battle fun, and Sam ends up agreeing that the dynamic works because “Dwight thinks of himself as a Ron Swanson-type”. Ultimately, everybody loves it. Ben isn’t sure very many people would actually care, and Sam says they should have put it on the Tournament just to see how it would perform. Liam jokingly suggests the fight being deadly serious. Erin says they should “put it on the to-do list”.
Gilgamesh VS Sinbad (Fate VS Magi)- John calls it a personal favorite of his. Liam is a big fan of Magi, and says Gilgamesh is the most requested Fate character outside of maybe Saber. Liam calls it sick, and John likes the banter potential. Everyone else like the MU as well, and Sam says they’ll do a Fate battle eventually.
Cinderace VS Axel Blaze (Pokemon VS Inazuma Eleven)- They don’t know anything about Axel, but they at least understand the basic idea after Ben looks him up and sees that both character have fire powers and are associated with soccer.
Denji VS Ash Williams (Chainsaw Man VS Evil Dead)- They think that Denji stomps easily, though it’s argued that giving Ash the Necronomicon would make it closer. Liam says Denji VS Yuji is significantly more likely, but he and John both still like Denji VS Ash and really want to bring Ash into DB. Ash VS Frank West gets brought up, with Ben saying they almost did it a while back, only to do Frank VS Leon instead. Ben says Ash will show up at some point.
Shiron the Windragon VS Charizard (Legendz VS Pokemon)- They don’t know Shiron or Legendz. Erin Googles Legendz and says it looks like a Pokemon ripoff, though Ben thinks Shiron looks more like a Digimon. Sam says they’re “always looking for more dragons”.
