Death Battle Discussion

Doomslayer vs Master Chief
Doomslayer vs Samus
Doomslayer vs SMT Space Marine
Doomslayer vs Someone from WH40k
Doomslayer vs Sam Gideon
Doomslayer vs Issac Clarke

Out of all these matches you either gotta go with SMT or WH40k and Doomslayer and getting his shit pushed the fuck in fighting SMT so the best option would have been someone from WH40K
Doomslayer vs Guiliman

Both look the part, both were out of comission for a shitton of time, both use god/divine powers.

The lowest you can get Doomslayer is like multi-city block to town level.

Literally high end wanked Master Chief vs low-end Doomslayer is Doomslayer dealing with a pesky fly that may with (feats I don't agree with) be faster (but that's if you wank Chief).

Realistic end is universal, and multiversal makes more sense.
I wouldn’t even consider the mcb low ends as honest low ends though, since they just require you to ignore the story, that’s what I meant by realistic in this case. If you’re fairly evaluating eeeeverything in the game city block is just nonsense for DS

you know whats gonna be hilarious

if they SOMEHOW have MC win
:heston
Back when asked about there being a DB tournament of all previous combatants (prior to S6), Ben and Chad straight up said Doomguy (not even accounting the new game at the time) would be the winner. Their logic being that basically Goku and Superman would clean house on everyone, Superman would beat Goku, Spawn would beat Superman (via GodSpawn powers and unkillability) and Doomguy would beat Spawn because he handles demonic entities all the time.
(This was during a 2018 panel halfway through season 5 that's on Youtube)

so yeah even in their REALLY out of touch years MC still gets killed :skully

What in the made up scenario is that shit. Goku and Superman dust 90% everyone from the after effects of their fight. Ben and Chad were on some copium back then

So for reference, the Ballista is a weapon Doomslayer uses a pogostick and combo-fodder in his kit. It fires dual streams of argent plasma hot enough to vaporize target. Argent Plasma is at least 2 megakelvins, doing a quick calc that would mean it equals over a hundred tons of TNT in energy.

Chief's Spartan Laser has been max calced to be a half ton of TNT, and that is his strongest weapon he normally has (Promethean stuff is rare).

Nah there's literally nothing, even the meme Spartan 1337 gets shitstomped by Doomslayer without using god scaling.

Oh yeah, well I asked AI to destroy your argument for me, and this is what they said.

Alright, let’s break down Maddie's claims point by point, with logic and facts:

1. "Low-end Doom Slayer vs high-end Chief"

Maddie implies this is an unfair comparison, but they dismiss Master Chief's feats without proper context. Master Chief's accomplishments are consistent across the Halo series: he takes down planet-killing threats, outsmarts advanced alien species, and survives battles against overwhelming odds. If anything, Maddie’s scaling disregards the canonically demonstrated versatility and resourcefulness of Chief, which are as much a part of his strengths as raw power levels.

Doom Slayer's "town-level" destruction is impressive in terms of sheer firepower but lacks the nuanced tactics and precision seen in Chief's battlefield victories. Chief doesn't need to match Doom Slayer pound-for-pound in destruction; his edge lies in how he utilizes his tech, skills, and environment.

2. "Argent Plasma vs Spartan Laser"

Maddie brings up the Ballista's firepower (around 100 tons of TNT) versus the Spartan Laser (around 0.5 tons). This argument focuses only on raw numbers, but combat isn’t just about who has the bigger gun. Here’s why Chief still comes out ahead:

  • Weapons Diversity: Chief doesn't rely solely on the Spartan Laser. His arsenal includes heavy explosives (rocket launchers), Covenant plasma weapons, precision rifles, and even orbital MAC cannon support in certain situations. Doom Slayer’s arsenal may pack more raw energy in certain cases, but Chief’s weapons offer a more versatile and tactical approach.
  • Tactical Application: Chief wouldn’t engage Doom Slayer in a direct power contest. He’s a trained strategist who excels in using terrain and mobility. For example, his Warthog would allow him to kite Doom Slayer across the battlefield while delivering long-range attacks.
  • Counter-Armor Potential: The Spartan Laser, though lower in TNT equivalent, is specifically designed to penetrate heavily armored targets like Wraiths and Scarabs. A high-energy concentrated beam can exploit structural weaknesses far better than Doom Slayer’s explosive plasma.

3. "Multiversal scaling"

Maddie leans heavily on theoretical scaling ("realistic end is universal, multiversal makes more sense") based on Doom Slayer's lore. However:

  • Inconsistencies in Lore: The "multiversal" claim often stems from hyperbolic statements and abstract feats in Doom Slayer’s backstory. These feats don’t translate well into gameplay mechanics or practical applications. Master Chief’s feats, on the other hand, are grounded in the consistency of his narrative and gameplay.
  • Combat Context: Even if Doom Slayer is a multiversal entity, he still fights using weapons and tactics that are effective against demons, not against a highly trained human supersoldier who thrives on adaptability. The Slayer's supernatural strength doesn’t inherently counter Chief's disciplined combat style.

4. "Chief is just a pesky fly"

This claim severely underestimates Master Chief’s strategic prowess. Let’s consider the following:

  • Strategic Mastery: Chief is not just physically formidable—he’s a tactical genius. He has consistently outmaneuvered enemies far more powerful than himself, including the Gravemind (a hyper-intelligent Flood entity) and multiple Forerunner constructs.
  • Mjolnir Armor Advantages: Chief’s Mjolnir armor provides him with shielding and AI-assisted analysis (think Cortana), allowing him to adapt to Doom Slayer’s attack patterns. Doom Slayer may be faster and stronger in certain respects, but Chief’s tech closes the gap.

Conclusion: Brains Beat Brawn

Maddie’s argument hinges on raw power, but this overlooks Master Chief’s core strengths: his adaptability, tactical thinking, and advanced equipment. Doom Slayer may be a force of nature, but forces of nature are predictable. Chief has spent his entire career defeating enemies that were bigger, stronger, and more destructive than him.

If Maddie still doubts, you might remind them of Chief’s most defining trait: he doesn’t lose. Care to see their next move?

Checkmate Maddie, but you forgot about Master Cheif's most defining trait : he doesn't lose. :ral

nigga listen to yourself
who the fuck are you gonna put slayer against from 40k when majority of 40k big names don't even have footage or shit for db to bring them on
Horus, he has a couple of cameos in animations, art and video game references, but they would certainly have to put some effort into editing.

I mean, not having footage for stuff hasnt stop people from making fan animations for shit before, why would it stop death battle?

my guy folks want to see a cool fight ass beating be damn
And I hate that shit. I understand you dont like it when I complain about it but hot damn dude I can complain about it
:heston

Completely ignoring the statistics that gave Shigaraki the edge in almost everything besides survivability over Mahito. And by a huge margin at that.

The animation itself didn’t really reflect that all. Mahito was firmly in control for like, 90% of the fight.

When he went into his Spirit Body of Distorted Killing, he was just styling all over Shiggy and his Domain Expansion required AFO to bail Shiggy out of and if it weren’t for that, the fight would have been his.

Just funny to think about.

i want someone to do another animation where its a 5 second fight of Mahito trying to attack Shiggy and then immediately getting dusted
