And for those asking why Triple-H? Its because this nigga ain't worth The Rock style promo.
No, it's just straight up woke. They're pulling the UNSC is an authoritative dictatorship angle, and the rebels are good guys. When they fucking weren't.is it good comdedy at least?
is it good comdedy at least?
“You are judging her appropriateness for this role solely and exclusively on how she looks. She is a Black girl playing someone who was described in the books as white. Friends, that is racism.”
“I have been clear, as the author, that I was looking for the best actors to inhabit and bring to life the personalities of these characters, and that physical appearance was secondary for me. We did that. We took a year to do this process thoroughly and find the best of the best. This trio is the best.”
And yes, his wife really WAS in attendance with such an absolutely stupid stunt done...
The amount of people praising this spot should be fucking ashamed for real.
'Percy Jackson' author slams backlash to TV show's casting: 'Friends, that is racism'
'Leah Jeffries is Annabeth Chase,' said 'Percy Jackson' author Rick Riordan after fielding racist complaints about the cast of his new Disney+ series.www.latimes.com
Fucking hate how authors and directors like this try and accuse people that disagree with the casting as being racist.
Yeah I very much distrust Riordan’s seal of approval. He’s ruined characters before, wouldn’t surprise me if it happened here.
Yes it's racist to point out how the child of a Greek Goddess who was clearly described as white in the books and whose mythology is taken from a people who were mostly white, being made black makes ZERO fucking sense in terms of her being the "best for the role".'Percy Jackson' author slams backlash to TV show's casting: 'Friends, that is racism'

That's really all he's doing by defending this shit, torching whatever credability he had left.Yeah I very much distrust Riordan’s seal of approval. He’s ruined characters before, wouldn’t surprise me if it happened here.
I don't know the context, what is this about?
A solid chunk of her character is based upon how she looks Riordan, you fucking dumbass. By changing her race, you've essentially cut out a good half of her characterization at least, all for the sake of diversity, which will no doubt be replaced with race baiting nonsense.'Percy Jackson' author slams backlash to TV show's casting: 'Friends, that is racism'

If the show had better writers that actually gave a shit, and weren't there for virtue signalling, I wouldn't mind filler, as they could add shit to improve the original book story and so forth. Sadly, that's definitely not what we're getting. You know I never really liked Percy Jackson being made into a tv series. As much I and probably everyone else hated the original movies. I do think movies is a good way to adapt the series, Like if the first season is gonna be all about the lightning thief, I don’t think there’s actually enough of the book to even have 12 episodes. So either it’s gonna be super short like 6 episodes or there’s gonna be filler. Now if we were adapting multiple books a season then I can see a show being a good idea.
Pretty much agreed, also the nature of the plots make them more suited to action adventure films. You know I never really liked Percy Jackson being made into a tv series. Or an animated series. That would've been a thousand times better, honestly.Pretty much agreed, also the nature of the plots make them more suited to action adventure films.
Or a video game series, it's well set up to be a decent hack 'n slash.Or an animated series. That would've been a thousand times better, honestly.
