That might want to be changed to former, when referring to Pyrrhus.

Plutarch makes no mention of it directly, but since the Spartan women were at this point behind the fighting line (“shrieking and running about,” he says), they must surely have participated in the opposition of this “with all their force.”
Given the way this is worded, it sounds more like they're just running away. Also, not sure why we're taking Plutarch as an authority, given he's not exactly the most reliable of sources.
