They do realize that them claiming Bridget is Trans is actually horrible considering Bridget's backstory?
And them thinking they will ever get Astolfo is just hilarious as fuck. TYPE-Moon is anal as fuck about whatever the translators put up(which is why we got the godawful Altria localization) and they long since basically stated Astolfo is a man just like Mordred is a woman. Besides, they already have Chevalier D'Eon but we know just like Yamato, they want the "more popular and good looking" characters, not just having them as a whole(Which Mr.3 and all of the Okama fit that).

There's a literal trans character in Adventures .
Of course, since they're being written by an actual human being and not a parasitic worm, there's more to them than that .
The fuck is nobody talking about them ?

They can even have Astolfo. Nothing of value would be lost.

Honestly, I think the answer is obvious for the first part:
They aren't well known or popular. They think that Bridget and Astolfo becoming trans will change everything because they basically ARE some of the most well known anime characters that are traps and making them be trans is basically stapling the identity hardcore now and making people care.

Mr. 3 is an Okama played completely straight and is well loved but he looks like this:

And thus, he isn't what they want compared to Yamato despite not even being trans in any way or fashion despite multiple "Newhalves" being featured in One Piece in many ways.
The core is never having just transgendered characters, they want them to literally become the most well known and loved characters and who they want to become and thus, that's why they want Yamato, Astolfo and Bridget and not people like Bon Clay, Vankoff or D'Eon.

Of course, the "only" reason they get away with it... is that they don't.
Most people usually avoid the shit out of Yamato and agree she's just a larper, people avoid Caenis even harder because she's a major asshole, Bridget will soon have most people just go back to using He once it becomes real obvious it isn't true and absolutely has a terrible look combined with his backstory and TYPE-Moon will never budge on Astolfo lol.

Lmao I just saw this ad for a Bleach game on FB

it had Ichigo promoting the game after Renji, Aizen, etc all ran a train on Rangiku 💀

Ichigo and Rangiku are married in this too for some reason and he didn’t care she cheated on him
