ps2 era had arguably the best jrpgs and tps games back there

that library was something else

It almost had too many jrpgs even.
I bet half of those jrpgs most PS2 owners haven't even played

and by peaking i mean, in the quality of games, idc for the 8k lol graphics that most lol games have

that 720p/1080p quality was more than fine, plus, the superior story most of those games had and etc

Companies paying too much attention for graphics and trying to make it more "realistic" are always a red flag for they not caring for what really matters in games ,sadly they are majority

it's supposedly an a class tier budget game and all

yet

it's quality is worse than the dbs manga = dbs manga is already on the -144p tier

devs need to understand hd graphics aint the game

it's part of it

the content of the game matters

story, chars, music, action, replay game value, etc

it ain't rocket science

Also everything needing to be mature with writing and acting like that of a top Hollywood movie to go with this hyper-fixation on realism

I can appreciate that, what with me enjoying the huge changes made with God of War that reflects these times but I also miss that 2000s edge and attitude and the focus on simple, dumb fun in gaming with story being a second at best in favor of just jumping right into the fun
