You doing paleo? Maybe your body can't handle carbs that well.
When I took the gym seriously, I think my pecs and shoulders were at 5
My pecs, shoulders, biceps, and trapezius are all 3. My legs are too I guess. Abs aren't quite as visible as that even if my ribs are.

5 might even be a bit too much but that's good. I think women like 3 and 4 the best.
 
It having good animation isn't surprising since a lot of these types of anime have ridiculously good animation for no reason.
I think it's because of the business scheme of the anime industry in Japan, products that have a lot of fanbase beforehand or that are sure to sell, don't make an effort to give a lot of animation except perhaps in specific moments or movies, for that Dragon Ball, despite selling so much, brings out something outstanding in animation.

Now new series that are only going to sell one season and it's all or nothing (like most of Slice of Life or moe that are only successful for one season and that's it) take out the animation ceiling to attract attention.

Of course there are exceptions like Kimetsu no Yaiba that I understand was because a executive from UFOTABLE liked the manga and wanted to be encouraged by the animation top, and then he was lucky that it was a very profitable success.
 


Which one are you?

I'm much closer to 3 than 2. Could do better but pretty good all things considered.

on 2020, during the first quarantine, i had reached in the 7th one, but with narrower waist = i was pmuch 6'1 feet and 15% of bf

now, i am at 11%, and closer to this is the 3rd one too, just slightly bigger shoulders and legs than that, overall, i feel very good and energetic, my 4 years kickbox exp, still is a great foundation to this, and as i said before to various convos we had, i still do some training for trying to stay in shape, and plus cardio/pushups, plus, checking my food and all, but when i want, i eat and do cheap meals, obv, i ain't snob
 
If you're just starting, home is fine.

But eventually you're going to need to hit the gym for heavier equipment, unless you have a home gym. My goal is to get to something closer to 4, where it's very obvious you're in shape without taking your shirt off.

I've been slacking for years until recently though.

I wouldn't know the only anime Ive watched in the last year or two is CSM

Probably does contribute to the popularity, yeah. Was there no basic bitch sakuga laden shonen to watch this year or something? Feel like that's always a front runner too.

It depends. A lot of the time it's just the studio having talented animators AND flexing it's budget. Just look at pmuch anything from Kyoani

Nah, unless you're trying to become a power lifter or an ugly ass body builder weights you use at home are fine assuming you even use em
