You already got Bruce Straley for that. Him gone and Druckmann the sole writer is why Part 2 was the shit show it was. Naughty Dog would also still have Amy Hennig without Druckmann there to have kicked her outNah, keep him around until TLOU 1 is made, as that was a good, if overrated, game.
After that, make something happen to get him kicked to the curb, so that TLOU 2 never happens.
I guess they thought, for some reason, that the emotional father/son scenes wouldn't work as well if he was an adult even though that would make more sense in terms of him going off on his own at the end.I think they should've just aged him up into a young adult, instead of a teenager. Already went through dealing with annoying boi Atreus in GOW 4. Would've been way better, if they'd made him fully grown, and skipped all that cringe teen dialogue they tried, with African Angrboda, in that god awful and tediously long section in Jotunheim.
Also the fact that Fenrir and Jormungandr are so fucking irrelevant and barely in the game which is supposed to be depicting an event they both had top billing in, in the actual mythology, was fucking annoying. Also replacing Hel with an oversized bird.I fucking hated the Angrboda parts. Game made the giants a bunch of Mary Sues

GOW 5 really should've been centered around building up to Ragnarok, with every piece being set in place. The event itself should have been it's own game, just like the events in Olympus were in the Greek series. As opposed to just one VERY BRIEF battle at the end of a game.
Inevitable really since you had to have Kratos and Atreus take center stage against Thor and Odin just like it was with the Greek games where Kratos overshadowed other actual Greek heroes (before killing them).
