Gege's depiction of female characters has often been a point of praise among fans, and this is not without reason. Gege purposely draws Nobara less sexualized than
many other manga heroines and also intentionally gives her dialogue that's more easily associated with a hero than a heroine.
According to Gege, they don't draw their characters too sexy because they are worried that their parents may be watching. Not only is this simple reasoning endearing, but it also shows that Gege has a close familial bond and respect for their parents that even informs how they approach the specifics of their art.
